Consumer Complaint: My access to my account with Coinbase , Inc. was made un-accessible via the Internet. When I tried to re-establish the connection, I was told to establish a " temporary '' account, and submit a picture id ( drivers license ). After some difficulty, I did as advised, but I still have been unable to get access to my account. Coinbase will not accept telephone calls nor will they call the consumer. I have been trying, to no avail, to access my account and Coinbase will not respond to my requests for assistance in re-establishing my connection to my account. I have made an initial contact with the XXXX XXXX XXXX Attorney, and they advised that my first step is through your office. Apparently, I am not the only person with this similar compliant.

Consumer Complaint: I opened a Coinbase account to learn a little about crypto currency. 2 hours later I saw a {$10000.00} charge from this company on my bank account. They have no customer service, won't talk to you, give you complete run around, and ask for silly documentation ( like selfies ). They have 100 's of XXXX complaints against them. I feel as if this company is a complete scam run by a bunch of thieves. They should be shutdown and all employee 's should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

Consumer Complaint: Coinbase issued a 1099K to a person, when all the funds were withdrawn into an LLC where the person is not an owner. The LLC paid taxes on the earnings, but does not have the 1099K. I have contacted Coinbase repeatedly over the last 6 months and they have offered zero help or resolution. I have requested they cancel the 1099k issued to the person, and instead, generate one in the name of the LLC that received the funds and paid the taxes on them.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I transferred {$200.00} USD from my chase checking account into coinbase as XXXX currency. I uploaded my drivers license to verify my identity and almost immediately ( after the transfer completed successfully ) they notified me that they were forcing me to close my account and I need to transfer my funds out right away. I have been trying since XX/XX/XXXX to transfer the funds out but an alert comes up that states I am unable to transfer and to contact support. I have contacted support over 5 times and they state they opened an investigation but I have not received any follow-up or update. I am able to log onto my account where it then alerts me I need to transfer my funds immediately because my account is being closed. I continue to email - as there is no number you can call to reach anyone - but no one will answer me. I desperately need to transfer my money out especially since XXXX could drop value at any time forcing me to lose money.

Consumer Complaint: The company Coinbase will not grant access to my money in any form. I have tried multiple times to get help from the company to access my funds. I have not even been able to talk to a human being in 3 days of constant contact. this is very frustrating as i have used Coinbase on this account for years, there was no warning that any deposits made via USD or BTC would now be held for up to a week. Considering the ripple effect of Covid I have been put in dire straights financially because of Coinbase during the week I pay all my bills. This company is completely unprofessional and are incompetent they have no business in electronic banking ( the outrageous hidden fees should have been a clue ). how can you run a banking service and not have any customer service representatives. Three days of the same Bot responses and automated dialog on the phone have done nothing. I have never reported any corporation for anything, but considering my internet goes out tomorrow along with electric i must file a complaint in hopes that no one else falls victim to Coinbase.

Consumer Complaint: I am stuck in XXXX because of Covid. My phone was damaged and I lost my 2 factor authentication on my phone. So, I tried to reset it with Coinbase. That is when the nightmare began. It was a process of endless repeating copy and past emails from Coinbase. The company is unable to send a confirmation code to my phone. This is their problem not mine. I requested that the company return my funds to my bank account - since I am locked out of my account - and they are unable to fix the situation. Coinbase stopped responding to my emails at that point. I have sent many angry follow up emails and coinbase does not respond. This is a terrible and unethical company.

Consumer Complaint: I have a Coinbase account, with a Coinbase " wallet '' and a " XXXX '' in which I store bitcoin. The XXXX functions as an additional safety measure, and requires verification from 2 different email addresses prior to authorizing the transfer/withdraw. Over the past week, I have been trying repeatedly to transfer the full balance of my XXXX to my Wallet. The link to my primary email ( XXXX ) works fine. However, the link to my secondary email ( an XXXX account, XXXX ) does not work. Anytime I click the link it tells me that " this action has already been performed '' even though it has not. As a result of this, my money is essentially trapped in the XXXX. Searching the internet, it seems that many other people have had this issue using XXXX/XXXX accounts, and is a result of the additional security measures these email serves utilize. When I created the account, there was no warning to avoid using these accounts. Over the past 2 weeks, I have submitted 5 complaints to Coinbase. All were given an automated response which did not resolve the issue. I finally got an authentic response, and was asked if I wanted Coinbase to manually transfer the money back into my Wallet, and then delete the XXXX. I responded that yes, I wanted this to happen. Even though I responded promptly ( and have the email to prove it ) days later I got an email from them saying that I needed to respond within 48 hours or my complaint would be closed. I replied within 2 hours of receiving this email, nevertheless, I received an immediate response from them saying that my ticket had been closed, and that I needed to file another complaint. So essentially, my money has been trapped for 2 weeks, with very disappointing effort from Coinbase to help remedy the issue -- despite multiple attempts on my part. Any assistance you could provide in helping fix this issue would be much appreciated.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX of XXXX my coinbase account was hacked and used to make {$250000.00} the irs sent me a letter this year and said i owe XXXX in back taxes now. I have attempted to contact coin base for weeks via their customer service app and twitter. I filed identity theft papers with the IRS and a report with the FBI to resolve this issue. Please help me get in contact with coinbase so i can straighten this out my banking documents prove i never recieved the money. Also as of today i can not transfer the money i have in coinbase back to my account. My bank and debit card are now unlinked .... After the last big movement in bitcoins price the application froze and crashed i could not sell the coins so i lost money. The fees for conducting transactions only display zero and after the transaction occurs there is clearly a fee deducted. All i want is my money out of my account my taxes fixed and to never deal with them again. PLEASE HELP.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I requested {$260.00} currency from Coinbase. The money was put into a vault that can only be withdrawn by validating two emails sent to two different accounts. The system has a flaw because it is impossible to verify the second email, which is documented on different websites from different customers with the same problem. Every day I go through the same process trying to retrieve my money, the primary email works ( XXXX ), the secondary ( XXXX ) gives you the message " You have already performed this action. '' Turns out this problem have been going on since XXXX. In a time of the virus, I have no money to be sitting around with this company. To make things worse the customer service does not exist, they send emails that they are looking into the problem, but no very well what the problem is, they are stalling and just holding on to peoples money. It is now XXXX Please help me get my money back.

Consumer Complaint: Hi i deposited {$250.00} to my coinbase account from my XXXX XXXX XXXX bank account. The deposit failed " due to insufficient funds '' I had in person deposited cash into my bank. Later I noticed the cash was withdrawn from by bank account but did not show up in my coinbase account. I've contacted support but its been weeks with no resolution. Case # : XXXX I confirmed the missing funds by adding up all my bank 's coinbase deposits and all my coinbase purchases there is a difference of my {$250.00} deposit. I dont know which deposit is was. Thank you
