Consumer Complaint: I have been attempting to withdraw my funds from Coinbase for several days but every tine am told XXXX XXXX account isnt linked and I need to relink it. However when I try to do that, it tells me the account is already linked. It should be noted that there are no issues when depositing funds, somehow the issues miraculously appear only when attempting to withdraw. I would also like to note that there is no way to get on the phone with the company, which is unacceptable for a public financial institution with a market cap of around {$100.00} XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2021, I saw a notification on my phone from Coinbase saying my two factor authentication had been changed. I logged into my Coinbase account and everything worked fine. I went back to reread the notification and could not find it. Thinking this was strange I contacted Coinbase customer support to see if they had sent the notification. I was asked me to explain what had happened in an email, which I did. Coinbase then locked my account. I did not lock the account. It is now 19 days later and I have no access to my account which has a very substantial amount of value to it. I have no idea if my funds have been frozen, or if they are going up and down with the flow of the market. I can not buy, sell or remove my assets from Coinbase. After numerous attempts to reach Coinbase, the only response I get from them are canned or blanket emails saying they will get back with me in 4 to 5 business days, which has passed many days ago. As far as I can tell they have no customer support at all. I trusted them with tens of thousands of dollars and they wont tell me a thing about what is going on with my money. Coinbase seemed to be a great company up to this point. Not being in control of your assets is a horrible nightmare.

Consumer Complaint: Description : Coinbase My account was compromised even with two factor security requiring my cell phone. i received a two factor request on XX/XX/21 at XXXX XXXX indiana eastern time. At the same time i received a email confirmation of a transaction completed converting ankr coin into btc coin. I did not make this transaction. I immediately logged in and changed my password again. reversed the transaction. Contacted the company. They locked me out of my account. They refuse to communicate with me after over 20 email attempts. they refuse to let me close my account. After further research on their social media profiles like XXXX. you can clearly see their entire feed is filled with similar stories. They are locking us out of our own accounts while they scrub the evidence and steal our money. Im ashamed that a company like this can even be successfully listed with an exchange as a recent ipo. This company is a scam. They have only email communication and they refuse to communicate. The customer has no recourse. My supposed case is Case # XXXX They have lied and misled me repeatedly on how to unlock my account. I did what they asked and they refuse to unlock it, allowing me access to close it and transfer my money out. If the Sec doesnt act imo you are complicit in this fraud. I can provide all emails. The ip address and location of the unauthorized access would have been available on my account but since i cant log in i cant gather it as evidence. Perfect XXXX scheme going on here.

Consumer Complaint: On or around XX/XX/XXXX XXXX placed a trade in my Coinbase.com account for approximately {$15000.00} worth of a digital asset / cryptocurrency OMG. The trade did not seem to go through initially. My available balance still showed the same {$15000.00} balance as before the trade, so I placed the trade again. Both trades apparently did go through, but I didn't want both and didn't have funds available for both. So the issue is on their end. To make matters worse, they then attempted to draft the additional {$15000.00} from my personal Savings account tied to my account, which I had made deposits from previously but did NOT authorize this time. This email was sent to me from Coinbase a few days later : " On XX/XX/2021, you attempted a transfer of {$15000.00} USD. Unfortunately, the transfer failed due to either a lack of funds or a technical problem with the transfer itself. " In order to complete your payment, you must either initiate another transfer or use funds from your Coinbase account. '' But I had already emailed them with the following subject line : " I did not authorize trade from my XXXX XXXX account. Duplicate Trade. '' and received an auto-response with a case number of # XXXX On XX/XX/XXXX I received a notice : " Automatic recovery notice On XX/XX/2021, you attempted a transfer of {$15000.00} USD. Unfortunately, the transfer failed and we still have not received payment. As a result, on XX/XX/2021 we will begin an automatic recovery. This could include selling your cryptocurrency holdings on both Coinbase and Coinbase Pro. To prevent this, please make a payment today '' During this time I had also attempted to change my username, which should have been ok, but then I received this email : " Hello XXXX, Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We have put a hold on your account 's ability to login for the time being until you are certain that your account is secure. No new outgoing transactions will be possible while the account is disabled, but pending transactions can not be stopped due to the irrevocable nature of digital currency transactions. We have a few questions that will help us begin isolating the incident. '' To which I replied answering all their questions. -- The big issue is that this has never resolved. Coinbase keeps sending me extensions of longer periods of time I have to expect to wait, while I can not access my account funds. My CoinbasePro account was also frozen, which is a totally separate account where there were no issues. It has now been Six weeks, with both of my accounts frozen and unable to access my funds or investments to buy / sell. It's beyond reasonable and unfair with no communication. The last email I received was on XX/XX/XXXX when I filed a formal complaint with Coinbase. Case # XXXX - Complaint # XXXX To which they replied : " Thanks for filing a Formal Complaint with Coinbase. The Disputes Team is currently looking into your Complaint and we require some more time to fully investigate and respond to you. Please allow up to 20 business days to fully investigate your complaint and provide you with a Resolution Notice. Thanks for your patience, we will provide you with a response as soon as possible. Coinbase Support '' -- -- -- This should have been a simple matter to resolve, but I feel like I'm being unfairly treated in response to a problem with their web technology, which misled me into believing I had not placed my trade and had funds available. Now they are punishing me it seems for this honest mistake, but really they are to blame for their software not functioning. This is and has caused me financial harm, and I'd like this resolved with my funds released immediately.

Consumer Complaint: I transferred XXXX Stellar Lumen cryptocurrency worth US {$76.00} at the time to my account at Coinbase, following their instructions. When the money was not received I asked about it and they claimed I had to send them more of the same cryptocurrency to prove the transfer was for me. I told them I sent all I had, and all they did was parrot the same lines again, and later on, ignore me. They are supposed to return the crypto to the originating account after 30 days if they can't apply it. Instead, they fraudulently kept it for themselves. The record of the transfer transaction is here : XXXX XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: Coinbase has taken money out of my bank account, which was authorized. However, they have now locked me out of my account where I can not access anything. I can not buy sell or trade my virtual currency. That is theft. In any other forum, that would be known as a scam. My emails are now going unanswered, and there is no live person to speak to. All I want or desire is for my account to be unlocked so I can withdraw the money I have in there.
