Consumer Complaint: I took out a student loan with XXXX XXXX during my tenure in school from XX/XX/XXXX-XX/XX/XXXX, total amount close to around 15K. After graduation I was struggling to make ends meet with no job and a new baby. I called XXXX XXXX several times and sent in paperwork indicating I was not working. I was placed on deferment, respectively. I began working in XX/XX/XXXXand called XXXX XXXX and was advised that I needed to stay in deferment vs income driven repayment plan since my income was so low. I was provided unclear information and was told I would be contacted via mail. From year to year I would call and update my information and finances and would continue to be told I made under a certain threshold and to stay in forbearance. Around XX/XX/XXXX ( my birthday ), I called and my loan was no longer with them and I was directed to XXXX. Same as XXXX XXXX I would call and ask to be set up on a plan and I would receive the same information. It was at the time that I wanted to begin a payment plan as I was working directly in XXXX XXXX and was informed that I could pay on student loans under public service loan forgiveness and be forgiven after a certain time period. I would be given the run around and was even told at one point that my loans had been paid in full. I would always ask for documentation and nothing has been sent to date, even today. Recently, my grandmother gave me a call and I was informed that the Sheriffs office came to her home looking for me. I did some research and found that XXXX XXXX XXXX, whom I knew nothing about is sueing me and XXXX XXXX is the contact for for unpaid student loans and this is the first that I have heard of me being delinquent at all. I have no knowledge of either company until 5 business day ago. My student was not handled properly and I do not understand why I was never contacted. I was planning to go back to school and now this is all shocking and disheartening. Even today when I call XXXX they say my student loans are paid in full. How could that be? Now I am afraid of what will happen to me and my family as this lawyer is saying that I owe {$20000.00} and I must pay now and there is nothing that I can do about it. Why didnt XXXX perform their due diligence to give me a call and place under a repayment plan. I do not feel that XXXX XXXX nor XXXX performed their due diligence to ensure that I was treated fairly as I wanted to be on income driven repayment and then public service repayment plan and they continuously recommended forbearance based off my low income. Please be advised that I have a new address however providing my old address as the law firm is making threats and I believe this can be handled without them having my new address. My email address and telephone number are up to date.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I received an email notification from my credit monitoring service that a collection has been added to my XXXX credit report by a company named XXXX XXXX XXXX for a XXXX account that I do now owe. The XXXX account was from XXXX and has been removed from my credit report years ago. This collection company, XXXX XXXX, has never sent me any correspondence regarding an old debt they purchased from XXXX. The debt does not belong to me. This collection has damaged my credit score by almost 85 points! I will be filing a civil action against this collection company for reporting a debt on my credit report that I do now owe. At this time, I am requesting CFPB to investigate this matter for this collection company to remove this alleged debt from all my credit reports. Further, I am requesting certified correspondence sent to my address and recorded statements indicating I owe a debt to XXXX XXXX XXXX. I am attaching documentation showing proof that the XXXX matter has been disputed and resolved more than two years ago.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I opened an account with XXXX for wireless cell phone service. I was informed I had 14 days to cancel service and return the phone I purchased and I would only pay for minutes or data used during the time I had the phone. I cancelled service on XX/XX/XXXX and returned the phone to the store where I purchased it. I subsequently received some erratic bills, and they ended up reversing most charges. They left me with a final bill of {$120.00}, but I had paid when I returned the phone. The store clerk told me what the amount was due for minutes and data usage, and I can't recall the exact amount but it was around {$60.00}. I know that I thought even that was too much, but I paid it so I could take care of it and switch to a different company. So I never knew what the {$120.00} was for and did not receive any notice of a debt collection, just XXXX bills. I attempted to dispute this with them over the phone around XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX but nothing was ever resolved. I don't like for this to still be on my credit report because I don't believe it is a fair charge.

Consumer Complaint: Had cell service the service however didn't work in the area I lived. My complaints caused the phone company to suggest updating my cell which I did and didn't improve my service so with multiple complaints of dropped calls and inability to make calls XXXX released me from contractual obligation the failed upgrade put me in.I wasn't under contract prior to upgrade and was month to month until the update they recommended Since I was released and needing service I found a new carrier. It was when I had already opened new service that I called XXXX to see if I was expected to return the old phone and the rep on the phone didn't know about my account and told me I would be charged? I purchased a new phone and service and XXXX expected me to honor the contract I was told I was released from?? I was a customer since the mid 1980 's and am disappointed!
