Consumer Complaint: I am completely dissatisfied with this company called XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, & Jefferson Capital Systems. I have contact them and XXXX MULTIPLE times over the years for them to remove themselves from my credit report. I sent the credit bureau the police report attached where my property, identification, and social was stolen back in XXXX. This company has been reporting on my credit since XXXX!!! Just in the last year I have sent them XXXX different letters for removal from my credit report. Letters where dated XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, and finally XX/XX/XXXX. All with the police report attached showing my identification was stolen along with proof of my address at the time. I have NEVER had an account with this company!!!!! XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX not Jefferson Capital Systems have sent me any PROOF, as in when or how, that these accounts were validated to be mine. They have nothing with my signature on it stating the accounts to be mine!!!!

Consumer Complaint: I have been working on my credit report diligently and this account is showing as a derogatory collection. I originally tried to purchase a XXXX XXXX, I think it was, from XXXX XXXX in XXXX, Fl. and has since been sold to Jefferson Capital. When I went to pick it up from XXXX XXXX and do paperwork, salesman informed me that something was wrong with that car so he sent it to the shop and brought out a XXXX XXXX instead. I agreed because I was desperate. I had nothing but issues with it and the gap insurance seemed to not cover anything. The car was a XXXX and I took it off the lot in XXXX, I believe. I called service dept several times for different issues and all they would tell me is " XXXX '' won't cover it. The last problem, which I was done dealing with them at this point, was a horrible smell coming from the a/c usage. I paid {$120.00} to XXXX XXXX, ( XXXX, gap ins ) recommended they were closest to me, XXXX, Fl ) for them to fix it and when I got it back it still smelled when using a/c. XXXX would not pay for it. I had the car approximately 4 months. I asked them to come pick the car up and I would like to end the contract. They indeed, picked the car up. I spoke with the salesmen most of the calls I made other than the service dept. This was 3 years ago so I'm sorry, but I can not remember their names. My credit report is showing I owe Jefferson Capital {$15000.00}, which was the ORIGINAL price of purchase, AND they have the car and I paid payments while I had possession and a {$500.00} down payment! These amounts may seem petty to them, but they hurt my pocket tremendously! I spoke with Jefferson Capital and tried to negotiate a fair price, and they did come down considerably but I still don't feel that I owe {$6500.00} ( Jefferson Capital settlement offer ) for a car I had constant issues with and no longer own and ONLY owned for approx 4 months, and XXXX XXXX has been in possession of the car, since XXXX. I should have known they possessed shady practices, when he brought me out a whole different make, model and size of car I originally wanted to purchase but then again, I thought to myself, " at least he was being honest about issues with the original car I chose ''. I think its horrible that consumers are constantly pushed into contracts by unfair and dishonest business practices and there are no repercussions. I know I'm not the only consumer to be duped by XXXX XXXX. I read some of their reviews after the fact. I now read reviews EVERY time I have to make a purchase of something so expensive and even purchases not so expensive. I would be happy to see this account removed from my credit report. It is a huge stumbling block for my future. I wasn't going to report this but I ended up deciding that, I tried to work with both XXXX XXXX and Jefferson Capital to no avail and I deserve this removed from my report. Consumer Complaint: I was contacted by Jefferson Capital Debt Collection company about a XXXX account that I had been in arrears, and was recently paid off in the last 60 days, from phone number XXXX. The debt collection company representative disagreed with me about the fact that I had paid the account off, and further stated that due to the age of the account that they knew that they could not sue me for the amount in question by them. They further continued to argue abusively toward me that they had never received the settlement amount that they purposed via the U.S. Mail. I advised them that they were or could be ... in violation of the T.C.P.A. laws for calling my cell phone, and to not ever call me again, because their telephone operator/representative kept yelling in my ear lies about me not paying their account they represented in full.

Consumer Complaint: I submitted an investigation letter, specifically requesting certain creditors. My request was sent on XX/XX/2020. Around XX/XX/XXXX, I received a letter stating that XXXX refuses to do any further investigation unless provided with proof. The problem with this response is as follows : 1. The creditor ( s ) have not validated the veracity of the records. Obviously, thats why theres a inquiry. 2. The responsibility of this institution is to provide accurate records to third parties. Obviously, theres a gap in that directive. 3. This institution is obligated by law to investigate, require proof from the creditor, that validates their record. There are gross disparities in this system. Not to mention discriminatory practices based on race, sex, and economic status.
