Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX an agreement was reached with Jefferson Capital to settle a debt, for a XXXX account. They promised if i paid the amount agreed of {$160.00}, they would remove the XXXX account from my credit. In the course of a year, I contacted them several times and everytime they would say to send the credit companies the satisfactory letter except I would wait months and no letter. I kept contacting the credit agency and they kept referring me back to Jefferson Capital. This back and forth went on for a while. I recently contacted Jefferson Capital in XXXX of XXXX upset and got them to agree to send me the satisfactory letter electronically since a whole year had gone by and I never received it by mail. I sent it to all 3 credit agency as instructed but they still would not remove the XXXX account. I called back Jefferson Capital back and now they told me to send the letter to XXXX. For a whole year I have been bounced back and forth! Jefferson Capital were the ones who promised to remove the XXXX account from my credit report. I am requesting that they please honor their agreement and remove that account as they promised from my credit. I kept my end of the agreement and paid them.

Consumer Complaint: I had a Visa credit card and fell on hard times but continued to stay in contact with them. Visa sold my account or debt to Jefferson Capital Systems , LLC. My bank account was levied in XX/XX/2019 and I was not formally notified by Jefferson Capital Systems , LLC to appear in court to dispute this judgement. I filed a claim of exception to appeal this decision to the levying officer and Jefferson Capital Systems , LLC never responded therefore allowing the levying officer to authorize my bank to release my account from a month long hold.

Consumer Complaint: Hello, Yesterday - XX/XX/XXXX - I was alerted that a new collection account has been added to my credit report. When I further investigated I was notified by the collection agency that this was a collection account for first access credit card. I have never had nor have I applied for a first access credit card. They claim that I took this card out in XXXX of XXXX. Why is there no hard or soft inquiry from them at this time? Why have i never received a credit card statement either by email or regular mail. They claim to have my address I have never received a statement or anything sent to my address @ XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, RI XXXX. I receive emails from the USPS every day which details what mail i have received on any given day with copies! and I have never ever received anything from this company. They have also never ever even reported a balance nor " my purported ' past due payment to any credit bureau. Now they are telling me two years later that i have a card with them that i never paid??? i tried reaching out to first access by phone and email no response. I called Jefferson collection agency JCS @ XXXX they are telling me its serviced by another company which i called @ XXXX ( they never gave me a name of the actual agency " handling this debt '' Even when you call they don't provide a name of their company or anything.. they hung up on my after screaming at me that this is my debt they refused to provide me with a verification of debt!!! before hanging up on me! Please help me this is a fraudulent company and this is not my debt. I am in the process of purchasing a house and this happened right at the point of submitting an offer I can not believe this is happening to me. Please help me!

Consumer Complaint: I was informed by XXXX and XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX of a change to my credit file and because I have an account with them I logged in and was made aware that I have an outstanding debt with XXXX XXXX in the amount of {$1800.00}. This account was opened in XXXX of XXXX. I have never had XXXX XXXX and contacted the debt collection company that this debt is owned by, XXXX XXXX XXXX yesterday XX/XX/XXXX to let them know this account is not mine and that it is fraud, and that I would like it immediately removed from my credit report. They informed me I would receive a fraud package in the mail in 2-3 weeks and that I would need to contact the credit reporting agency to let them know it is fraudulent because they do not deal with this type of thing. I have since tried to dispute this account on my credit report 2 times and XXXX continues to claim this debt is mine, when it is not. This account previously showed up on my credit report with another collection agency named XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX of XXXX and I disputed it because it was not my account and it was removed from my credit report. I am not sure why this keeps popping back up on my credit report, but it is not mine. I have also disputed this with XXXX, but have yet to hear back. Please resolve this issue because it is negatively impacting my credit score and should NOT be on my report.

Consumer Complaint: Last year, for weeks I received calls twice a day from a company trying to collect on a XXXX debt. I have never had an account or any dealings with XXXX. I eventually recorded the conversation, told them the debt isn't mine and to stop calling. Today, I received another call from a collections agency regarding this XXXX debt, which isn't mine. They spoofed the call to make it appear to be local. They said they were with Jefferson Capital Systems in Minnesota and wanted to collect on the debt. I recorded the conversation, told them it isn't my debt, and they asked for four digits of my social to prove that it isn't my account. I refused to do that, as this company should be required to prove this is my debt ( which there is no proof of, because it isn't my account ). I shouldn't be required to prove it was never mine by sharing my social security number with a company that obviously has unethical and predatory collection practices.
