Consumer Complaint: Hello ; how can you be late 120 days on collections account for {$800.00}? Isn't the collection account by default late and past due? This is a violation of FCRA and it's causing this account to illegally re-aged. I was shocked when I reviewed my credit report this week and I found multiple inaccuracies on my credit report from the 3 major credit bureaus from a collection company that I never have dealt with before. I've attempted several times to ratify the issue with the original creditors and credit bureaus and they still reporting inaccurate, unverifiable information. I have disputed this item with the credit reporting agency and they reported you confirmed the account as valid. I honestly do not believe to ever have any relationship with this collection agency or original creditor. Also there are several inaccuracies with this account the way it's reporting and that's a total violation of FCRA and FDCPA laws and regulations. In a good faith effort to resolve the matter amicably, I must demand proof of this debt, specifically the alleged contract or other instrument bearing my signature, as well as proof of your authority in this matter. Absent such proof, you must correct any erroneous reports of this past debt as mine. I am writing to request that you please provide the following information : 1. Please evidence your authorization under 15 USC 1692 ( e ) and 15 USC 1692 ( f ) in this alleged matter. 2. What is your authorization of law for your collection of information? 3. What is your authorization of law for your collection of this alleged debt? 4. Please evidence your authorization to do business or operate in this state. 5. Please evidence proof of the alleged debt, including the alleged contract or other instrument bearing my signature. 6. Please provide a complete account history, including any charges added for collection activity. You have 30 days upon receipt of this letter to provide strict proof of contract. In the event you can not provide strict proof of contract, you must cease and desist any and all collection efforts and immediately remove any derogatory information reported to the consumer reporting agencies. In addition, you will need to provide me your agreement, in writing, that you are closing your file, ceasing collecting activity, and deleting all information related to this reference number from any and all credit reports youve furnished the information to. In the event you transfer this account to an attorney without providing proof of contract, and proving your claim, he/she will be immediate reported to the XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX for code of ethics violations.

Consumer Complaint: My loan thru XXXX XXXX was closed and marked paid in full on my credit report two months latter a company call Jefferson purchased this loan and imidiantly put it on my credit report and a collection I filed a dispute and it was removed. Today two months latter it has been re added with a start date of today. I have never received notification of Jefferson on this and have never done business with them. I am trying to refi my home and this most likely will get that denied because of this. As a XXXX veteran it is tough enough to survive but this is has became a direct violation of the law and my rights

Consumer Complaint: I received an envelope containing paperwork for garnishment, but I havent been sued by this company. The envelope didnt have a return address on it and the postmark was significantly later than the date of the summons : XX/XX/2020. Once I opened it, it appeared to be legal paperwork from a court. The plaintiff is Jefferson Capital System LLC. Theres no information identifying the plaintiff other than their name. No phone number, no address. The contact information for the attorney is invalid ; the phone number has an odd ring that sounds like a record thats skipping. I XXXX Jefferson Capital System and called their toll-free number. There was a recording indicating that callers can get debt information by entering a file number, which strangely wasnt listed anywhere on the paperwork I received, an account number, which would be assigned by Jefferson, or a social security number. Theres no file number on the paperwork, nor is there an account number. I had to use my social security number. The recording indicated that theres no record in their system containing my SSN. Im not surprised since I dont owe them any money. Lastly, I noticed that this paperwork was supposedly sent to my employer. My listed employer is a company I never knew existed until today. How can I possibly work there? This could be a scam, but I see it as harassment. Rogue collection agencies think that they can scare uninformed consumers into sending them money. I dont operate like that. I will not even listen to, nor respond to anyone who doesnt approach me correctly. I have no idea what this debt is or who it belongs to. I have never gotten one phone call from this company. Ive never received any other notices from this company. The legal contact listed on the paperwork is bogus. I should be enjoying my evening right now. Instead, Im wasting my em time responding to a false allegation. I threw their paperwork in the trash at the gas station when I stopped to fill up my car. After thinking about it, I got angry and decided to file a complaint with CFPB.

Alleged debt amount is {$220.00} I have no knowledge of this account and any other account from XXXX XXXX. Just in the past month XXXX XXXX has confirmed that they do not have any accounts on file bearing my name. This can be verified if Jefferson Capital wants to contact the North Carolina Department of Justice Attorney Generals Office, refer to case # XXXX They can also contact XXXX XXXX personally @ XXXX ext. # XXXX ask for XXXX XXXX. Also, I never received a notice from this company written or otherwise that they were attempting to collect on this debt. Consumer Complaint: XXXX for several years have been contacting me only via XXXX mail and i have several, several times contacted them over these years to advise them, that i have never had an account in my life with XXXX. When i have called about this " debt '' in question the typical answer why they can't find me in their system is because the account is old and the records are purged. which is bogus. it's because they have no such account with any documentation from me. XXXX failed to ask XXXX XXXX the collection agency ( XXXX capital ) to provide any solid documents showing me every signing up for an account with them of any kind. Because there are not any. i unfortunately can not provide you with any dates or details as i have none. thank you so much for any assistance you can provide. I really do value my credit rating and this collection account is hurting it tremendously. Thank you.

Consumer Complaint: This company input negative information on my credit report and fails to fix the problem. I have evidence and proof that XXXX XXXX XXXX department sent me that this claim was resolved and this company fails to fix the problem. It is illegal to input negative information on my credit report without me knowing or giving me notice. I need an updated credit report from them and paid for by them letting me know that my report has been fixed and that this is no longer in my credit report on all 3 major credit bureaus XXXX, XXXX and XXXX. Thanks They have been harassing me with phone calls and fail to fix my credit reports. In order to satisfy my need from this complaint I require a copy from every credit bureau sent to me with tracking letting me know that this issue has been fixed with evidence and proof. Otherwise I can sue this company in state court including attorney fees. All I need to present is the evidence I have and it will be an easy win for me.
