Consumer Complaint: Today, XX/XX/XXXX, I got an alert from XXXX XXXX, that a New Collections Account from Jefferson Capital XXXX had been added to my XXXX XXXX file for an old XXXX XXXX bills, that I had previously disputed with CFPB back in XXXX. I have never received anything from Jefferson Capital and do not understand how they are able to add an item to my credit report without first contacting me so that I can dispute. I spoke with a Representative from Jefferson and advised that " I DO NOT OWE THIS DEBT TO XXXX OR TO JEFFERSON AND PLEASE VALIDATE THE DEBT ''. He advised that they are the owners and I now owe this factious debt, I still advised that " I do not owe this amount to you or XXXX '', please remove from my credit file for XXXX ASAP. Thank you XXXX XXXX

How did this debt occur in XX/XX/2020 when Im currently with the company XXXX that the debt is for? This debt looks fraudulent and I should have been contacted before they decided to damage my credit reports without any attempt to communicate first.

Consumer Complaint: My XXXX debit card was compromised in early XX/XX/XXXX I didn't notice since whoever was using it was making small incremental charges. I notified XXXX XXXX since that is where those charges originated and they confirmed someone by the name of XXXX was using my debit card through their account. That said around that same time a JEFFERSON CAPITAL SYST for the amount of {$240.00} on behalf of XXXX XXXX showed up on my credit report as delinquent. I have had the same XXXX XXXX account and phone number since XXXX and I am up to date on all of those charges. I don't know if the two are related but it is interesting timing. That said I wish to dispute this claim as it is the only negative blemish on my credit score.

Consumer Complaint: JEFFERSON CAPITAL SYSTEM submitted a collection account to credit reporting agencies that was previously investigated, resolved and removed from my credit report. It appears XXXX XXXX XXXX sold the debt to JEFFERSON CAPITAL SYSTEM after the account was deleted from my credit report. I requested from XXXX to generate a bill to verify the debt, they were unable to generate a bill. I also communicated that both XXXX and this debt collector as well have never properly communicated to me that there was an outstanding debt and have never provided any documentation after several attempts requesting that they provide documentation. Once again in the report, they are reporting this account to be a XXXX account however when XXXX XXXX XXXX reported the account they reported the account as XXXX XXXX XXXX. These are invalid, undocumented, false statements and I have not received any documentation thus far to confirm the validity of this information. Below is the detail information from the prior investigation. REF # XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX - CFPB Dispute submitted on XX/XX/20 I called XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX to request verification of an alleged debt that showed up recently on my credit reports. Both companies were unable to provide verification. I requested they provide me with a bill and they communicated that they could not generate a bill. I requested from XXXX to generate a bill to verify the debt, they were also unable to generate a bill. I also communicated they never properly communicated to me that there was an outstanding debt. I was never notified of the debt. I am requesting documentation from them that consist of : Bill with itemized description of fees, Signed Contract, Copy of letter notifying me of an outstanding balance. Also these companies reported missed payments for the same month. My understanding is that only one of them can report information otherwise it looks like two separate debts and two separate late payments when in fact it should be 1. I reported this issue to all three credit reporting agencies. Some removed these item and XXXX did not. I am requesting that these companies provide proper documentation supporting the debt.

Consumer Complaint: I am a victim of identity theft. Due to the Corona Virus Pandemic, we are all facing which has me sitting still at home and I saw the recent news about the multiple XXXX XXXX breaches. I decided to look at my credit reports from the 3 major credit bureaus and found that someone had used my Identity. I have no idea how the theft took place. I also have no knowledge of any suspects. I did not receive any money, goods, or services as a result of identity theft. I contacted the Credit Bureau and told me to file an Identity Theft Report which I am doing. I appreciate your effort in getting this matter resolved. Thank you. Please let me know if you need any other information from me to block this information from my credit report. Thank you.

Consumer Complaint: When i checked my credit as i often do, i saw that Jefferson Capital placed a {$10000.00} and {$1300.00} collection on all 3 of my credit reports which is false and untrue. When i contacted Jefferson Capital demanding they provide me with documentation validating this debt pursuant to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Fair Credit Reporting Act, they refused to comply within 45 days. Lastly Jefferson Capital has not validated any contract that i consented or agreed to with their company. Jefferson Capital has violated my credit and reputation, i am demanding collections be investigated, removed and communication be ceased from all credit bureaus.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/2020, I sent a letter to Jefferson Capital Systems, after already disputing the account, stating a settlement offer on an account. Upon cashing the money order, they would agree to completely remove all references to this account with all the credit bureaus, agree to not list as paid collection or settled account, and agree payment was satisfying the debt in full. I also requested settlement within 15 calender days from receipt of payment. On XX/XX/2020, the XXXX XXXX money order, # XXXX was cashed. As of XX/XX/2020, I have not received any notice and the account is still showing on my credit reports, and still listed as active and showing a balance due and not settled. I disputed the entry still being on my credit report with XXXX and XXXX, sent them a copy of this letter and money order and they came back as verified account but did not remove and said it would remain. I request all references to be removed from my credit reports, as they have agreed to my settlement terms by cashing the money order, and it is beyond the 15 calendar days since received.
