Consumer Complaint: I contacted Capital One back in the first of XXXX to notify them of financial hardship as well as to explain that one of my bank accounts that primarily paid this monthly payment was compromised but I made a manual payment. When I was reviewing my credit report on XX/XX/2023 I noticed I received a " late '' or default payment mark on my credit report. I contacted the company to see how I could dispute this remark and was transferred and spoke to a representative in the Fraud Account Team by the name of XXXX. XXXX advised that the accounts were actually closed ( I had no knowledge of this because my credit file had this account reflected as open ). I advised that I was not notified of the closure and advised that the accounts were being inaccurately reported as open, this is against the law. XXXX stated a letter was dated XX/XX/XXXX and read me the details. I advised that I did not receive the letter and wanted the late remarks removed and completely deleted from all three credit bureaus due to the false reporting. This company should not have reported a closed account as open for almost XXXX months, they were negligent in not reporting accurately. I received a notification on XX/XX/2023 via credit monitoring that the account has been updated as closed but the damage has already been done.

Consumer Complaint: Apparently, I made a purchase at Kohls Department store of {$15.00}. This took place months ago. On XXXX XXXX I received two phone calls requesting I call Kohls. At first, I assumed this was a scam until I received the second one. I checked my Kohls account to discover that there was a {$100.00} dollar on my account. I quickly called Kohls for more information. I was told that my account went to collections for nonpayment. I was shocked this was the first time I knew of this. I asked why I wasn't notified or billed? So, they say they did not have my updated address. I moved from XXXX XXXX XXXX I was still stumped. They called me after my account went to collections but could not call me previously to this? or email me? They had my email address. I paid them what I owed. I thought that was the end to it. Just recently received my credit report. I went from XXXX to XXXX just like that due to Kohls. I can not express how upset I am. This is absurd. Shocked is what Iam that a company can ruin an individual 's credit for {$15.00}. I worked very hard for years to have that credit score. Never missed a payment, never was late on bills. I can show you bank records and payoffs. I am not wealthy and have worked my tail bone off for what I have. My credit score reflected my hard work. I will never set another foot in Kohls. Never. I will gladly return their credit card to them. I paid my automobile loan off my mortgage off. Why would I not pay off {$15.00}? How can I pay a bill if I am not properly notified? To this day I still have not received a piece of mail from Kohls stating that I paid the outstanding balance or a email. Obviously, there is something very wrong with this company internally.

Company reporting account closed on two of the reporting reporting agency 's and open on one. Reporting of account owingXXXX XXXX owing, reporting a balance of {$1400.00} on all of them. I submitted a complaint to the company and received a letter back XX/XX/XXXX stating reporting information accurately. I called this company on XX/XX/XXXX and they stated the account was closed and there was no active collection. My access to this account on there web site has been blocked. I filed a dispute with XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX XXXX and they change a few thing to get accuracy closer however there reporting is not still accurate and complete. I would like reporting to reflect closed, paid and on time or account removed from all credit reporting agency '' s.
