Consumer Complaint: Dear Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, I am writing to bring to your attention the ongoing issues I have been experiencing with Capital One 's Venture X Card, and the lack of resolution from the bank despite multiple attempts to seek assistance. I have been diligently flagging this issue with Capital One for over a year, starting in XX/XX/XXXX, and have received no satisfactory response or resolution from them. I was deceived into signing up for the Venture X Card due to the promised benefits and perks, including a credit of {$300.00} annually to offset the hefty annual fee. However, since upgrading, I have encountered numerous problems with my account, which have significantly impacted my ability to fully utilize the card and its advertised benefits. Firstly, the travel credit of up to {$300.00} to offset the annual fee has not been accessible to me as promised. Despite repeated attempts to contact Capital One 's customer service and provide evidence of my eligibility, I have not received the credit, resulting in me paying the full annual fee out of pocket. This not only constitutes a breach of the terms and conditions of the Venture X Card, but it also feels like a blatant deception and false advertising on Capital One 's part. Secondly, my account has been plagued with technical issues ( which prevent me from accessing the credit ), such as frequent errors in the online travel portal for any type of bookings. These issues have caused confusion, frustration, and unnecessary time spent on resolving them with Capital One 's customer service, but the problems persist without any concrete resolution. This lack of proper account management and technical support is unacceptable, considering the premium fees associated with the Venture X Card. I have made multiple attempts to seek assistance from Capital One through various channels, including phone calls, emails, and online messages, but the responses I received were generic and unhelpful even when speaking to supervisors. I have provided detailed documentation of the issues I have encountered, including call records, to customer service but the bank has failed to acknowledge or address them effectively. This prolonged negligence and lack of accountability from Capital One is unacceptable. To this date, my travel portal still does not work as verified by a phone call made today XX/XX/XXXX @ XXXX XXXX PT to Capital One.

Issue: Closing your account
Subissue: Company closed your account
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, Capital One sent me a notice that told me they were closing my account ending in XXXX. The only reason they gave is " this or another account is not consistent with our expectations for account usage and violates the Capital One Customer Agreement ''. I did not violate the Customer Agreement and this is discrimination. They are not allowed to close my account because it doesn't meet expectations for account usage. The notice said " Please stop using this account immediately and destroy any cards and checks associated with it ''. They advised me in this notice I am responsible for any balance there is. This is discrimination against me as a consumer and is in violation of 15 USC 1691 for closing my credit card account and denying me credit when applicant, myself, was in good faith and exercised my right. This is also in violation of 15 USC 1642, USC 1681, and 12 CFR 1002a, a creditor shall not refuse to grant an individual account to a creditworthy applicant. Capital One violated 15 USC 1691d ( 2 ) ( B ) because they took adverse action against applicant and they did not give proper written notification of adverse action which discloses proper information as stated in this law. They also violated 15 USC 1691d ( 3 ) because they did not provide a statement of reasons for the adverse action taken that contains SPECIFIC reasons for the adverse action taken. I sent two notices to Capital One requesting detailed information on why they turned off my credit card account and what exact part of the Customer Agreement they claim I violated. I did not receive any notice or information with my requests. Capital One ignored both notices. The first notice I sent them was on XX/XX/XXXX and the second notice was on XX/XX/XXXX. The second notice I also send an affidavit of fact to them along with an invoice for them to reimburse me for damage caused and penalties for violating my rights. As of today they have not responded. I am seeking my credit cards be opened again and usage immediately and my billed invoice be paid to me by check within 10 business days of them receiving this complaint. I called Capital Once credit card dept. and the lady said it would be removed in XX/XX/XXXX, but its now XX/XX/XXXX and its still on my credit report. My deal with Capital One was paid for debt deletion off my credit report and update report this with all 3 credit bureaus. - Im planning to apply for an auto loan, and its come to my attention that the charge off accounts on my record could hurt my ability to qualify even if at {$0.00} balance. Issue: Trouble using your card
Subissue: Credit card company won't increase or decrease your credit limit
Consumer Complaint: I have tried on numerous occasions to obtain a credit line increase with this company. I have 3 credit cards with the company and I have always done well with paying. When I initially opened 2 of the cards I was advised after 6 months I would qualify for a credit limit increase. Every time I apply I am denied and Im sick of it. I have had to open other cards to achieve the spending power I need and deserve based on my current payment history with this company. I have mostly paid my balance in full and the denials just arent fair.
