Consumer Complaint: I opened a Capital One Venture X account. I filled out the application and I was approved for the card. There was a welcome bonus on the card of XXXX miles if I spent XXXX dollars in the first 3 months. Right when I was at XXXX, they flagged my account and asked for 3 months of bank statements. Upon review, they concluded that there was an inconsistency in my income coming in and the amount that I had listed on the application. I verified with the representative that the amount that is supposed to be listed on the application was my gross annual income. Yet, they only consider the amount coming into my checking account, without accounting for tax withholding, retirement contributions, and money routed to other accounts. They charged me for the annual fee, which is XXXX dollars, when they closed the account after a month. Their policy states that customers can not use paystubs as verification, but only bank statements. This is predatorial behavior.

Consumer Complaint: I didn't authorize or give permission for my credit to be process for hard inquiry by these companies and would like for this information to be removed. While getting my oil XXXX XXXX a salesman approached me asking if I was curious to possibly receive an upgrade. I said i'm in the process of buying a home and I don't want any hard inquiries on my credit report. He assured me that I will not get any hard inquiries and he was just going to run my information in house on a soft pull to see what I was eligible for. He became pushy and aggressive trying to force me into signing paperwork for a sale that I didn't want. I rushed to the service area to get my vehicle and immediately left because I was angered at the way I was being treated in that dealership. I later saw the hard inquiries on my credit report and returned asking him why did he lie to me. He laughed in my face and called me stupid. I asked to speak to a supervisor and request to receive a copy of the document that they said I signed giving them permission to run my credit. No document ever existed because I never signed anything. This dealership was unwilling to provide a simple statement in a letter for me to remove the Inquiries off my credit report.

Consumer Complaint: I had an auto loan through Capital one auto finance. My vehicle was a lemon, so the dealership had to pay me back for all payments made, and pay capital one auto loan off. Capital one auto loan was supposed to remove entire tradeline of credit from all 3 credit bureaus within 21 days of receiving payment from dealership. It also states that capital one auto finance can not ever report this to the credit agencies in the future. The counsel, XXXX XXXX signed said agreement on XXXX XXXX, XXXX. As of XX/XX/XXXX t Capital one auto finance reported the trade line as a paid charge off ( very negative on my report ) I tried to get approved to buy a vehicle XX/XX/XXXX, was denied and found out that the trade line had not In fact been removed as agreed upon in writing. Have attempted to dispute with all 3 credit bureaus, but they all reach out to Capital one for verification and Capital one auto finance tells them that this account is reported appropriately ( which is false per signed written agreement ) I contacted Capital one auto finance about this and they said they couldn't do anything because they are just the financing department and their dispute department is not taking calls.
