Consumer Complaint: Capital One has not addressed any of the issues that were placed in the complaint. This issue did not start in XX/XX/2020 ; it started in XX/XX/2020. A letter was sent to an address where I did not live but was not made aware of it until I called Capital One later. I was told by one of the reps that my payment was supposed to be a certain amount and I paid the amount requested but then later was advised I was supposed to pay the amount in the letter that I never received. The account was restricted then and I was told that even if I pay it off, I won't have access. The payments that Capital One claimed were returned were associated with a card placed online and were locked at the time of the payments. Capital One turns the autopayment on the account when a payment was made over the phone. I explained this to Capital One reps several times and they were supposed to pull reports to verify but they haven't since 2020. In closing, Capital One has not provided any explanation for the issues I outlined and then has the audacity to claim that payments were returned even when the online card is a Capital One debit card. None of these payments were returned for insufficient funds, it was returned because the card was locked. All of these returned payments were explained to the reps several times but Capital One still claims that these payments were returned due to my fault. I have never made an autopayment to Capital One since XX/XX/2020, but it was made manually. Please address my concerns.

Consumer Complaint: Credit Card in dispute is with [ Walmart Credit Card ], issuer by Capital One # XXXX, went inside Walmart to make my schedule payment { before the due date of XX/XX/ }, moreover, inquired through Cashier the payment amount, the payment due cashier stated was {$35.00}, made a cash payment inside store located in XXXX CA. I called on XX/XX/2023, to make my next payment due, prior to the due date of XX/XX/2023, and was told by the automated system over the phone, my schedule minimum payment due was astounding amount of {$74.00} ; furthermore, I was stifled at the amount given, I then immediately called Capital One for clarification, they informed me I didn't make the correct payment and as a result I'd be penalized additional amount because my payment was short by {$4.00}, I made a request for waiver of fees accessed and was told by Capital One they'd rectify this oversite ; called back to my surprise after agreeing to make my XX/XX/2023 payment in the amount of {$39.00} early that none of the fee had been adjusted, I tried talking this over with several representatives to no avail, I couldn't get any results, I was furious, I told the Manager he was not helping me resolve the matter, moreover could I speak to his Manager, and his reply was NO!

Issue: Problem with a purchase shown on your statement
Subissue: Card was charged for something you did not purchase with the card
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023 two different charges were posted to my Capital One visa credit card from the merchant XXXX XXXX. The first was for {$460.00} and the other was {$420.00}. The first amount of {$460.00} was a charge that we put onto our card with the merchant. I have both my customer copy and also a copy from the merchant. The other charge of {$420.00} is the charge in question. I called Capital One by using the number on the back of my credit card. I explained the situation to the customer service representative. The customer service representative filed a dispute on my behalf. The merchant responded to the dispute and sent documentation of the charges. Capital One shared that documentation with me. On the charge that I am not questioning they shared the entire receipt with me in a XXXX XXXX letter. On the charge I am questioning they would NOT share the entire receipt with me. They would not show the signature line. When I received the letter I called the number on the letter and was advised to send a fax with detailed information. I sent the fax with the information and also asked for a copy of the entire receipt in question. I called to verify the fax was received. I also looked at the account online and they noted the fax was received. I then received two different letters dated XX/XX/2023. The letters had different case numbers on them which was very confusing to me. On XXXX XXXX the credit card company charged my credit card again for the charge that is not mine. I called today on XX/XX/2023 and I was told by the case manager in the fraud department that they can not assist me with this anymore because when a charge gets filed as a dispute you can only go to the merchant once to dispute it so the fraud department is not allowed to go dispute it.
