Consumer Complaint: I received an offer from Capital One for a 0 % introductory rate on purchases AND balance transfers until XX/XX/2024. Applied for the card using the QR code in the mailing and received it, but when i inspected the rate on the account after it was opened the 0 % rate was only applied to purchases. On XXXX I contacted the company to receive clarification and was told the rate only applied to purchases, not balance transfers. Even though the mailing clearly states balance transfers. I spoke with a supervisor, still told the same thing. They would not do anything to correct the problem. The only reason I opened the acct was for the balance transfer rate. This is deceptive and predatory.

Consumer Complaint: Today, I learned that Capital One has 2 accounts under my social security number. I only applied once for my credit card. I assumed it was still the same. But today I learned that the original ( XXXX ) account that I have isnt the original account. It was closed. Capital One never informed me about this change! Ive contacted them several times, before these ridiculous interest rates went into place, asking for help lowering my interest rates. NOT once could I get any assistance from Capital One! Yet here it is, theyre benefiting, ripping off consumers with every new interest rate increase! NOT to mention they provided NO assistance nor gave any information about changing my original account! But Capital One is quick to charge more, close, and have records of XXXX accounts on their books for the only account that I created with them. Having me only learn about their deceptions by inquiring again about Capital One, over inflated interest rate charges for balances being paid prior to the constant interest rates hikes by the federal government. All are a bunch of thieves! Let all the banks collapse! I was informed also by the operator that they closed the original ( Sparks ) account and started the account I assumed was the original one I am still paying off. Operator also said that according to the original documents I agreed too, Im being held to those and their terms, while Capital One is above any laws the ordinary consumer knows anything about! I asked for help, got nothing!!!! Told NO! NOTHING about any of the changes mentioned either!!!

Inaccurate credit reports directly impair the efficiency of the banking system, and unfair credit reporting methods undermine the public confidence which is essential to the continued functioning of the banking system. I have lost faith in the banking systems due to your company reporting false and inaccurate information on my report without my consent. Your company is blatantly violating federal law ( 15 U.S. Code 1611- Criminal liability for willful and knowing violation Whoever willfully and knowingly ( 1 ) gives false or inaccurate information can be held liable ). I noticed unauthorized accounts on my consumer report. I have not signed any documents authorizing your organization to report any accounts on my consumer report therefore, your reporting of accounts on my consumer report violates the Fair Credit Reporting Act. I tried to discuss waiving this fee and they flatly said they would not discuss waiving it and that it is considered a cash advance. I have used XXXX for years with different cards both bank and credit cards with never more than a XXXX or small convenience fee but to have XXXX taken for transactions even when the transaction itself is under XXXX is completely predatory. I want to fight this legally but am not certain what are the next steps to take. I cancelled my card today. Please help.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/ I arrived in XXXX, XXXX. I was waiting for a taxi and was approached by a man in a blue uniform. I was taken to a car and as we left the airport was asked to provide my credit card. I did that but then became suspicious when they would not issue a receipt. I immediately called my credit card company to report the problem. The credit card company Capital One removed the charge which was {$6300.00} from my statement. They sent me paperwork which I completed. The charge then reappeared several months later. I again called the company and the charge was again removed. The charge has now reappeared on my statement and the company refuses to remove it. I am a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX of age and can not pay this amount. I have searched the internet trying to find out about this company but have been unable to locate any such merchant. The number listed on the initial charge was not a working number. The credit card company says since I can not prove I did not receive service they must get payment from me. Please help me resolve this matter. The original card was cancelled. It ended in XXXX. They issued a new card which is listed below.
