Consumer Complaint: Dear Sir / Madam I noticed that my credit score had decreased by more than XXXX points, I have worked extra hard to keep my score high and divulge into exactly what is making my score at the number that it is. When I checked I saw an inquiry that is not familiar to me that took place on XXXX XXXX XXXX to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. In addition there are XXXX negative accounts on my credit report that should be removed from Capital One. Then to add insult to injury-My old card has expired -Capital ONE has refused to send my new business credit card-because of the past issues that I have had with them. I spoke to a supervisor XXXX XXXX-she informed me of this, I have been vigorously attempting to remedy this incident. So the account of XXXX is still open, only I have NO physical card. They are holding my account hostage as retaliation. This is totally against the law I know it is. I am seeking legal advice on this as well.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023, I mailed out a dispute letter to Capital One about the company sharing my nonpublic personal information. According to 15 USC 6801 ( a ) requires financial institutions to notify consumers of their information-sharing practices and provide for a right to opt out of certain sharing. Capital One never gave me any opportunity to opt out they furnished my nonpublic personal information to nonaffiliated third parties ( XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX ). Under 15 USC 6809 ( 5 ) nonaffiliated third party means any entity that is not an affiliate of or related by common ownership or affiliated by corporate control with the financial institution but does not include a joint employee of such institution. XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX are nonaffiliated third parties, and Capital One has violated the provision of 15 USC 6802. In if Capital One admits that XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX is affiliated they have violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Therefore, Capital One has not only infringed my right to privacy but also violated multiple Federal Laws.

This action has caused significant financial harm to me and my family, as well as led to missed payments and other financial hardships. As you are aware, the freezing of my checking account caused other external brokerages and banking institutions to also freeze my external accounts, leading to missed payments and delinquent credit card payments. This has caused additional fees and penalties, and further damaged my credit score. When I called your customer service department to inquire about why my account was frozen, I was informed that the only reason for the freeze was that I needed to verify my employment information. I had already verified my employment information through the Capital One mobile app just XXXX months prior, so this was a surprise to me. I demand that you take immediate action to rectify this situation, including restoring my full banking privileges and compensating me for any damages or losses I have suffered as a result of your actions. Additionally, I expect a detailed explanation for why my account was frozen in the first place, and how your actions have led to other external institutions also freezing my accounts. I am prepared to take legal action if necessary to resolve this matter, however, I would prefer to resolve this matter amicably and without further delay. Consumer Complaint: I have a negative mark on my credit because of a kohls credit card I never opened. I have disputed several times and each time I was told it was confirmed to be mine. Id love to know how it is confirmed to be mine and who confirmed it as I was in the hospital XXXX XXXX when this was said to have been opened. I went in the hospital on XX/XX/21 and the card was opened after that. I was in XXXX at the time, have never been to a kohls and will never go to one. I have no need for them. This needs to be fixed. I have a stack of hospital bills that anyone is welcome to look at if they want to. This is beyond ridiculous.

Consumer Complaint: i have never owned a capital one credit card or bank account. i have applied numerous times including recently and have gotten denied each time. the problem is that a capital one credit card account is being reported by capital one, XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX. i have disputed numerous times and they keep sending electronic responses stating that it is verified accurate information. even though i have requested an original application, signature or proof that the account is mine as described in the FCRA. as of now i have not been furnished with this request. i have been disputing this for years and am being denied credit because this account shows as a delinquency and charged off.they only stated it was verified which was not my request. i have called capital one numerous times to dispute they refuse stating its a verified debt.i requested my information and original application they stated the account was too old
