Issue: Problem when making payments
Subissue: Problem during payment process
Consumer Complaint: My Capital One Credit card statement is showing that my monthly {$25.00} payment was returned as insufficient funds by XXXX on XX/XX/2023. Capital One customer service told me to speak with XXXX XXXX XXXX to get information about the returned payment. I looked at my XXXX statement and there is no record of an NSF transaction on my XXXX statement during that time. I spoke with a XXXX representative and the representative searched through transactions for XX/XX/2023 but found no evidence of a NSF transaction related to a Capital One payment. Capital One is now displaying my account as past due and is doing nothing to fix the issue. I was also charged a {$25.00} late fee in this instance. This issue should be fixed by Capital One, my account should be in good standing, and the {$25.00} late fee should be refunded. XXXX has agreed to provide documentation that details lack of evidence of an NSF transaction during the time in question ( XX/XX/XXXX XXXX, 2023 ).
