Consumer Complaint: My husband received an email and asked me if I had opened a credit card through Capital One Venture. I received a text message asking me to complete a verification process for a Capital One account. I ignored it and thought it was just a scam. I received a text message today stating that my Capital One Card has been approved and is being mailed to me. I called Capital One the actual credit card company and reviewed what happened and a credit card in my name has been opened on XX/XX/2023. XXXX from their IT Fraud department inactivated the card and flagged it as identity theft. The investigation number is : XXXX with Capital One.

Consumer Complaint: Capital One Charged me 2 fees that shouldnt be charged. 1 - XX/XX/XXXX - which was on Saturday not a business day, followed by a holiday on XX/XX/XXXX - XXXXXXXX XXXX 2 - XX/XX/XXXX - which was on Saturday not a business day. I require the refund for both fees that were incorrectly charged. I have always paid all my bills on time and those charges were not correct at all. I do not accept the answer, first Capital One retained an amount of XXXX for almost ONE YEAR, I called them several times, spent hours on the phone, they sent the check just one month ago, after I exhausted calling them. The bank took one year to send my money and no penalties applied. Please explain that. Lastly, I called for the {$25.00} fee in XXXX and requested to be on automatic pay, the agent disconnected the call and never called back and I ended up being charged a late fee again!

Consumer Complaint: A check in the amount of XXXX was deposited into this account On XX/XX/XXXX. Our company name was XXXX XXXX XXXX. Our trade names are " XXXXt '' and " XXXXf XXXX element ''. The landlord wrote the check to one of our trade name " XXXXt ''. Unfortunatelly that's where went wrong with this bank. they put a hold on the money right away and said they are doing fraud investigation. They never asked any material from me and every time i called, they would say it should be done soon. Then suddenly on XX/XX/XXXX. The money was withdrawn from my account and my account was closed. they didn't even give me any clue where the money went. they just say it is their policy the money was sent bank to the original landlord. the landlord didn't receive them at all as recently as XX/XX/XXXX. They behave so badly that every time I called, they just repeated the same answer. the money was returned to landlord but they don't know how and when. Landlord said they don't receive it, I am just a hopeless regular person who spent over XXXX XXXX asking for his own money. I really wish someone who know the case to sue them for their reckless and careless act. Please request all the video records that I had with them. I am very polite while they just treat people so unfairly, especially towards minorities.

Consumer Complaint: I received a invite from capitalone credit card company. Before I filled out, the invite stated it would not affect my credit report, nor my score. I went onto my credit report after I received a alert from XXXX XXXX. Capitalone credit had removed three points from my credit score and also a hard inquiry. This apparently was misinformed information. And I did not give approval to have my credit score or report checked with clear direction and explanation from Capitalone. Can you please remove this hard inquiry from my credit report and replace my 3 or more points to my score. I reached out to the company and they told me to contact the credit bureau. The credit bureau told me to contact CFPB.

Consumer Complaint: Every month I pay my Capital One credit card on the due date. However, because I do not pay by XXXX XXXX. CST, I am hit with a {$40.00} late fee. As a result I can not get out of this quick sand of debt. This company is too big to be this predatory. I understand that processing has to have certain timelines, but my other credit card specifically, XXXX XXXX, will automatically refund the late fee as long as the payment is received on the due date, so I know my solution is not an impossible one. I don't mean to sound entitled. I am well aware that I have the option of not using the card, and for a very long time I did not. However, I keep cards for emergencies and something came up where I had to use this card. I regret it, I regret it with every part of me. If I had the ability to pay it off I absolutely would because nothing about maintaining this card makes me feel good to have it in my wallet. If I knew how to go about starting a class action, I would. I hope this gets published so that somebody with that skill set sees it. I have discovered in this life I am usually not that special unusual, and I can not be the only person this is happening to. I would love to be able to pay all my obligations early, but like many people that's not always an option, and this is so discouraging. I paid {$70.00}, did not use the card only to see my balance go up because interest and fees for the month are {$81.00}, and now my monthly minimum payment has increased. So now I have to pay interest on the late fee, and because this has happened to me several months now I don't recall seeing a notice but I'm pretty sure my interest rate has increased or soon will.

Consumer Complaint: The vehicle I had a loan on with Capital One was deemed a total loss by my insurance company ( XXXX ). Capital One marked that loan as a charge off when it was not. I followed all the procedures in the title procurement process that coincides with a vehicle being totaled out. They gave a letter of guarantee to my insurance company for the balance requested to pay off the loan. It was marked on my credit report as a charge off in XXXX of XXXX ( date of loss was XX/XX/2021 ) I received my payment XX/XX/2021 and XXXX did not pay them until XX/XX/2021. Upon which they kept the status of a charge off and then marked it as a " paid-charge off ''. This account should not have been marked as a charge off at all and even if they got the payment late they could have at least corrected their mistake then and marked it as a paid-satisfactory account. This mark has significantly affected my credit as well as making it very difficult to get another vehicle which I still have yet to be able to do since the accident. I would like this fixed immediately as getting the payment from my insurance company for the vehicle payoff was out of my hands to control.

I kept telling capital one just give me XXXX credit limit.They never would, and in emails say i been paying ontime over 9months, but its been over year on time.So they offer me QuickSilver credit card, and it is pre approved.Get no rate for 9months than it be 29.8 % higher than iam paying now Platinum.And when i fill out application it have no effect on credit report, bunch XXXX XXXX! My Platinum Credit Card is XXXX limit i use lot i pay from XXXX or more amonth for over year, they refused to give me higher limit, i ask for XXXX limit for me putting up with there illegals employees can't speak English to good..Iam XXXX over XXXX i should get better rate, and hgher limit..I applied XXXX XXXX, Capital one gave me QuickSilver credit card with only XXXX limit, and keep saying they sent card out .That i can activate it now.I called in about Quick Silver card twice, and last represented illegal guy XXXX ask for my whole SS # i said thats fraudulent, i should only need give my last four numbers.He said i can't check account on QuickSilver, unless i give my SS # all my numbers, so i did..He said he fix few things and said he can raise my limit higher, and get my cards out in mail to XXXX XXXX ASAP.He ask if i wanted to activate cards now, i said heck no, i not even got cards.But in text message say its at XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX, and Our XXXX XXXX is over XXXX miles away, it is very expensive to drive XXXX XXXX, i had half tank i left XXXX XXXX to get mail, No Capital one QuickSilver Credit Cards.I had to put XXXX dollars in off my Platinum C/C , ..Capital one owes me XXXX bucks reimbursement on my card, for lying cards in mail.
