Consumer Complaint: I tried to speak with Capital One directly, i sent them a letter, they sent me an auto response, so i sent them another letter and they just sent me the same response. I would just like a different response in response to my hardship forgiveness plea. I paid off my Capital One Auto loan in XX/XX/2022. I had some issues with paying on time at the end due to a XXXX XXXX XXXX and a death in the family due to XXXX. I ended up paying off my loan with Capital One and moving forward in life, well trying to. The last late payment that I received in XX/XX/2022 really messed with my credit profile. I had no idea what to do, I tried a XXXX XXXX dispute, not because I was disputing the account but because I did not know that I could be forgiveness, which is what I am doing now. I know that the credit bureaus will report whatever information you give them and that they regularly go back and allow creditors to forgive late payments. I am not asking Capital one to forgive ALL my mistakes. However, if Captial One can find it in their heart to forgive just one, XXXX of 2022, it would mean the world to my family and I. We are trying to purchase a home and that late payment is keeping me from doing it. Two other creditors were so kind and already forgave late payments from that month. I am begging Capital One to do the same.

Consumer Complaint: I am disputing this debt due to fraud. I was contacted by Capital One via phone and letter. I have also received numerous letters from your company wanting to settle a debt incurred that I have no knowledge of. The letter states that I owe XXXX to Capital One. However, I do not owe that debt. My information was stolen along with my wallet, which included my state issued identification card, my personal social security cards, along with personal bank cards and information on XX/XX/2021, I disputed this account previously with Capital One and the major credit bureaus upon noticing identity fraud had occurred. I also filed a police report, FTC report and Ive had to obtain personal identification due to this. If you believe that I am still responsible for this debt, please send me any documentation you have that proves that I owe it. Until then, please cease all communication with me and note on your records that I dispute any responsibility for this debt. I reviewed my ( XXXX, and XXXX ) credit report recently and found the account listed above. I have no recollection of this transaction and I do not believe that it is mine and I consider this matter to be in dispute, due to identity theft and identity fraud. I have already disputed this account with your credit bureau. I need to collect all possible information on this account so that I can determine whether it is an error or a case of identity theft. I request that you send me all available information possible on this account, including a copy of the original signed contract or any other documents that would establish the nature of the transaction and when, how, and by whom it was conducted. If these details can not be verified and the account continues to appear on my credit reports, I shall be compelled to assert my legal rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ). I hope to receive a quick and satisfactory response, as I would like to resolve this situation. Thank you, XXXX XXXX I have attached supporting documents

Consumer Complaint: In the end of XXXX I received an email informing me that a new capital one credit card is on its way. I have never had any accounts with capital one. Issue: Fees or interest
Subissue: Problem with fees
Consumer Complaint: Capital One bank, specifically on a Capital One Venture credit card. This relates to an interest charge accrued on XX/XX/2023 to the sum {$4.00}. Yes, it's not a lot. But it's the principle of the matter. On XX/XX/XXXX, I called to ask about this interest charges. They explained, " There's a delay between your auto-payment date and when the funds are received. And that's why there's the interest charge. Because it compounds daily. '' Okay. So, I had previously set the autopay to pay the statement " in-full. '' Because I do not want to carry a month to month recurring balance. However, Capital One will not let me set a payment date earlier than the due date. Meaning, if the payment was due on XX/XX/XXXX, then Cap 1 requests money on XX/XX/XXXX, they are charging interest every day until they receive the funds, per the representative. This does not feel fair. So rhetorical question, if this is the case, why can I not set the auto-payment to fire/pull earlier? Based on the representatives explanation, it feels like they've intentionally programmed the payment settings to collects a few extra dollars here and there. I called again on XX/XX/XXXX, around XXXX XXXX XXXX to ask if they'd eliminate this charge. We escalated to a supervisor who said " no. ''

Consumer Complaint: I was once a subscriber to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX service and enjoyed the meals and service. Because we weren't cooking at home as often, I paused the subscription and then attempted to cancel it. on XX/XX/23, I received an email from XXXX XXXX representative XXXX statins that she had " deactivated my account and removed billing and email information ''. I then received another meal. I assumed it had been shipped prior to the email from XXXX. I then received XXXX more meals and each time, I reached out and replied to XXXX ' original email to let her know that service had been canceled, I had not been on the website to change meals, and I should not be getting them. I checked the credit card I use most often, XXXX XXXX XXXX, and found nothing charged. I finally looked at my Capital One card and low and behold, there were the charges. I immediately disputed the charges and they were temporarily removed. There had been XXXX shipments and XXXX charges, and I disputed XXXX, because clearly I had communicated with XXXX prior to the last XXXX being shipped as you'll see from the timeline below : XX/XX/23 email cancellation confirmation from XXXX XX/XX/23 Home chef charge XXXX initially but realized package XXXX have shipped before reply from XXXX XX/XX/23 XXXX chef charge XXXX # XXXX XX/XX/23 Response email sent to XXXX regarding continued boxes XX/XX/23 Home chef charge XXXX # XXXX XX/XX/23 Home chef charge XXXX # XXXX XX/XX/23 Another response email to XXXX regarding continued boxes XX/XX/23 Dispute was filed with Capital One when charges were realized they were there XX/XX/23 Received letters from Capital One that confirmation showing no cancellation per policy received and that correct documentation had not been received XX/XX/23 resubmitted complaint with all requested documentation XX/XX/23 Received statement saying they had closed the case because all documentation needed was not included. Ive attached ALL documentation that I have. I plan to cancel this card because if this is the way Capital one does business, I want not part of this. I am a college educated professional with a credit score over XXXX, which shows I pay my bills and take care of my business. As youll see from documentation attached, I have dotted my eyes and crossed my ts and done everything I could to XXXX these shipments and XXXX them from being charged for something I never ordered/wanted to continue. Thank you for the consideration and please reach out if I can clarify or answer any other questions.

Consumer Complaint: re ; Capital 1 case # XXXX. I was set up with auto pay to pay XXXX XXXX XXXX phone charges. I switched to XXXX on XXXX. XXXX. I called XXXX XXXX XXXX cust.svc on XXXX to Cancel svc. I was informed by the rep that my svc was automatically cancelled when I pulled my phone # to another carrier. I called Capital 1 on XX/XX/23 to dispute the charge made by XXXX XXXX XXXX and that Capital 1 was trying to collect on. I received a response dated XX/XX/23 that XXXX XXXX XXXX asserted I had NOT cancelled my service and that my dispute was denied. I again called Cap1 on XX/XX/23 to dispute XXXX XXXX XXXX 's claim that I hadn't cancelled and requested proof of XXXX XXXX XXXX 's claim. A letter dated XX/XX/23 sent copies of XXXX XXXX XXXX 's documentation that was to substantiate their claim that was COMPLETELY unreadable and proved nothing. On XX/XX/23 I sent an email to Cap1 with my substantiation for my dispute. There was no response from Cap1 other than continued billings. Finally on XX/XX/23 I AGAIN called Cap1 and was told that there IS NO email available to send documentation to the dispute team. Instead I needed to send docs via a link they provided. I complied and reiterated the need to send me proof of XXXX XXXX XXXX 's claim. I received a response denying my dispute and AGAIN not providing me proof!
