Consumer Complaint: My credit card payment was due at Capital One on XX/XX/XXXX I made several attempts from my phone to try calling their automated system was not taking the prompts by me pushing buttons or speaking when I tried pressing zero to talk to a representative it would not register their system was not working finally after several attempts seven from my phone and a number of others from friends and families phones at XXXXXXXX XXXX. I called the fraud department to get a hold of a live operator was able to make payment XX/XX/XXXX I checked my balance to find out there was a {$20.00} late fee because the payment wasn't in by XXXXXXXX XXXX. when I called the credit card company to let them know about their phones they said there was nothing they can do to wave at {$20.00} fee I made every attempt to try to pay that on time even the final phone call when I made the payment it is a no fault of my own that I was on hold for XXXX minutes which made the payment XXXX minutes late I also tried paying online but the phone number I used to apply for the card was not working they had a phone number on record that I had several years ago which is no longer in working order so I could not get online to pay my bill to me it is unacceptable that they charged {$20.00} late fee when I made every attempt to pay it on time and it was their fault the payment didn't go in it is only {$20.00} but theft is stepped and how many people are they charging this money and getting away with it please reply Thank you XXXX XXXX XXXX I have screen shots of the times I tried calling.

Consumer Complaint: I am writing to file a complaint against XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX. I believe that these entities are violating the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) by requiring consumers to pay a premium subscription in order to file a complaint. I recently received a business credit card from Capital One. Capital One made a hard inquiry on my personal credit report, but they also reported the business credit card to my personal credit report. This was illegal under the FCRA, as the FCRA prohibits credit reporting agencies from reporting information about business credit accounts on personal credit reports. I tried to file a dispute with XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX, but they all required me to pay a premium subscription in order to do so. This is a violation of the FCRA, as the FCRA gives consumers the right to dispute inaccurate or incomplete information in their credit reports for free. I am requesting that the CFPB investigate this matter and take appropriate action. I believe that XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX are violating the FCRA by requiring consumers to pay a premium subscription in order to file a complaint. Also i am writing to dispute the following information in my credit report : Hard inquiry from Capital One on XX/XX/2023 Business credit card account from Capital One I did not apply for a personal credit card from Capital One. They sent me a XXXX Credit Card for XXXX XXXX. The hard inquiry and business credit card account are both inaccurate and should be removed from my credit report. I am a sole proprietorship and my business is legally separate from me as an individual. Capital One is aware of this because I provided them with my business tax identification number when they sent me the business credit card. Capital One 's actions in making a hard inquiry on my personal credit and reporting the business credit card to my personal credit report were illegal under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ). The FCRA prohibits credit reporting agencies from reporting information about business credit accounts on personal credit reports. I request that you investigate this matter and remove the disputed information from my credit report. I am entitled to have accurate information in my credit report under the FCRA. Fail to remove this inaccurate information will result in my company filing a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission ( FTC ) because If an entity violates the FCRA, they are liable for damages, including actual damages, punitive damages, and attorneys ' fees. The amount of damages that can be awarded depends on the specific violation. Here are some of FCRA violations in this particular case : XXXX inaccurate or incomplete information in a credit report. Failing to investigate a dispute in a timely manner. Failing to correct inaccurate or incomplete information in a credit report after it has been disputed. I received no bill for these months but was on auto payment anyway so have no idea how it is showing as two late pays on my account, I have not gotten a good breakdown as to how i was late both of these months. I've tried challenging the reporting with the bureaus but have had no success in getting information of the items removed. Please assist me in getting some answers here. Thanks

Consumer Complaint: A fraudulent charged occurred on one of my Venture XXXX credit cards with Capital One, specifically my minor daughter 's credit card. On Saturday, XX/XX/, my daughter and I were shopping at the XXXX XXXX in XXXX, TX when a charge was made which was not authorized by my daughter or myself. According to Capital One records, the charge was made at XXXX XXXX for {$180.00} on my daughters card ( ending in XXXX ). I immediately contacted Capital One the following Monday, XX/XX/XXXX to dispute this charge. The representative informed me that they would temporarily credit my account until further review was made. They also canceled my daughters card and reissued a new card. Today, I saw that Capital One reversed the credit so I contacted the fraud department to follow up. I spoke with two fraud supervisors and a manager and they all claim that the fraudulent review confirmed that the charge was made by my daughters card. They also claimed that the chip technology confirms that the charge was made. I am confirming that we did NOT make this charge. We were shopping at the XXXX XXXX and the XXXX XXXX in question is over a mile away. The authorized charges made on that day by my daughters card were from XXXX XXXX for {$6.00} made at XXXXXXXX XXXX CST and a charge was made at XXXX XXXX for {$5.00} at XXXX XXXX CST. According to the manager in the fraud department I spoke with today, the XXXX XXXX charge in question was also made at XXXX XXXX CST, the same EXACT time the XXXX XXXX charge was made when we were at the mall. He claims that the credit card was also physically used at XXXX XXXX via contactless payment. How is this possible when the card was physically being used at XXXX XXXX at the same exact time? Even the fraud manager was perplexed. We could not have been at two different places at the same time. I am appalled by how Capital One is treating me. I have been a longstanding customer with them yet they are not protecting my best interest.

Consumer Complaint: I disputed XXXX hard inquiries with each company and they claimed that they sent letters to the 3- bureaus but once I notified them a month or so later the companies said I had to contact the 3 bureaus to have the hard inquiries removed but they gave me the run aroundIve been trying to dispute these hard inquiries since XXXX. My credit report been under fraud since XXXXXXXXand Im still a victim of fraud. I was in prison from XXXXXXXX XXXXThe potential negative item came from my old bank XXXX XXXX which XXXX had hooked my bank card to cash app and was a victim of fraud,. Someone did an overdraft of {$500.00} and the fees made it {$13.00} and something dollars which I disputed and won. Industrial bank put the account at XXXX but did it as an charge off when it wasnt. Consumer Complaint: I am trying to apply for a business credit card through Capital One, I currently have personal credit cards through them so I thought this would be a relatively straightforward process. I submitted an application which seemed to be approved, provided that I submit the following documents : -Articles of Organization for the LLC -Phone Bill with business name and physical address used on application -Bank Statement with business name and physical address used on application Because the Articles of Organization for my LLC was established under a virtual address, I could not use it for the application for a business credit card, so I used my physical address instead. Due to this, I was asked to also submit two documents showing the business name and physical address used on the application, of which I have a phone bill and bank statement. I submitted these documents with my LLC name listed and my physical address and was told they were not acceptable, and was also denied to provide any reason as to why they weren't accepted.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX has continued to use unfair debt collection practices. I have proof that you purchased my personal and private information from CAPITAL ONE. You have assumed responsibility for this alleged debt. I am requesting documentary evidence pursuant to 15 usc 44. I need my 1099-C a document crucial for the Cancellation of Debt for this charged-off/collection account. It is imperative to recognize that under the law, creditors are legally obliged to provide IRS Form 1099-C when canceling a debt. This form plays an essential role in tax reporting, enabling individuals to accurately report and comprehend the tax implications of debt cancellation. The absence of this form in my case constitutes a severe violation of federal tax regulations. One of the most troubling violations pertains to the deceptive nature of the letters I have received from XXXX XXXX XXXX. These letters were sent with logos prominently displayed on the outside of the envelopes, a practice that clearly contravenes established debt collection regulations 15 usc 1692b ( 5 ). Furthermore, the content of these letters contained threatening and obscene language, which is both unlawful and wholly unacceptable. Your company has continued to threaten me with legal action on an alleged debt. I I have meticulously documented these violations and am fully prepared to provide evidence in arbitration proceedings. Failure to comply with these demands within the specified timeframe of 14 days will leave me with no choice but to take official action by filing IRS Form 3949-A : Information Referral and IRS Form 211 : Application for Award for Original Information Overview with the Internal Revenue Service against all individuals and corporations involved in this matter. This letter serves as my final attempt at resolution before initiating arbitration proceedings.
