Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX and XXXX I had an influx of XXXX transfers from various users while using a XXXX party XXXX trade system called XXXX. The amounts totaled approx XXXX. Capital one has put a freeze on my acct stating that they need to do an investigation on why I am receiving so many payments. I explained that I was on a system called XXXX which uses XXXX to transfer money for credits. The rep that took my call was extremely judgmental, telling me I was a liar because one of the payments came from a users personal business. I already filed a complaint against the rep who refused to tell me his name and asked if I was being reprimanded because of something he doesnt understand. My acct is now closed with no course of action for me to ubderstabd what is happening. My bills and car note is attached, making me miss payments and affecting my credit. The rep also made a judgement call to terminate the banking relationship with me without even being on the call for more than XXXX total. He could see my picture and demographic details. I can tell when someone is beibg biased. I think its appalling that banks can freeze your money regardless of my ability to provide proof. I was told I did not need to do anything on my end which doesnt allow me to defend my actions and confirm the money was solid. CAPITAL One did not protect me as a customer by shutting away my access to my funds.

Issue: Struggling to pay your bill
Subissue: Credit card company won't work with you while you're going through financial hardship
Consumer Complaint: Dear Credit Card Company, I am writing to you today regarding my credit card account # XXXX which I had while I was going through a change in my career. The purpose of my correspondence is to see if you would be willing to make a goodwill '' adjustment on the reporting of this account to the three credit agencies. I take full responsibility for the payment and I am not attempting to justify this breach of my user agreement, I was however hoping you might review the circumstances under which this non-payment occurred and consider removing the negative trade line associated with this account from my three credit reports. As soon as I became aware of the balance paid the balance in full. I provide this not to justify why the account was unpaid, but rather to show that the issue is not a good indicator of my actual credit worthiness. I hope that your company is willing to work with me on erasing this mark from my credit reports. I would like to STRESS that the information currently being reported IS accurate. I am simply asking for a courtesy gesture of goodwill in having the credit bureaus remove this account from my report. I do recognize that this request is unique and that it may not be your normal policy. Please consider that the Fair Credit Reporting Act does not demand that all accounts be reported, only that any account that is reported be reported accurately. Therefore, a company does have legal discretion and permission to remove any account it chooses from the credit report. I'm hoping that you will do that in my case for this account. Your kind consideration in this matter is greatly appreciated. Best Regards,

Issue: Problem with a company's investigation into an existing problem
Subissue: Their investigation did not fix an error on your report
Consumer Complaint: I am writing to formally dispute an issue I have encountered with CAP ONE AUTO, regarding their failure to remove a late payment entry from my credit report, which I believe is in violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ). I am seeking your assistance in rectifying this matter. I contacted CAP ONE AUTO in writing, requesting the removal of a late payment entry on my credit report, which was inaccurately reported. I provided supporting documentation demonstrating that this late payment was erroneous and should be corrected immediately. Under the FCRA, creditors are obliged to investigate disputes and correct any inaccuracies promptly. However, to date, CAP ONE AUTO has not taken any action to correct this error on my credit report, despite the ample evidence I provided. This has had a detrimental impact on my credit score and financial standing, which is causing me significant distress. I kindly request that the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau intervenes in this matter to ensure that CAP ONE AUTO complies with federal law by promptly investigating and correcting this inaccurate reporting on my credit file. I believe this is a clear violation of the FCRA, which mandates that accurate information be reported and that disputes be resolved in a timely manner. I trust that the CFPB will take appropriate measures to address this issue promptly. I appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to a resolution that ensures the accuracy of my credit report as required by law. Thank you for your assistance in rectifying this.
