Consumer Complaint: I recently saw an unauthorized fund withdrawal from my checking account by an account at Capital One. I received a debit card from Capital One that I did not request for or authorize making me suspect that a checking account was fraudulently opened in my name at Capital One. When I called the Capital One Bank fraud department, I verified my identity with all information they asked for. However, they refused to close account, put a fraud alert or provide any other means for redressal. I spoke to a supervisor named XXXX and despite my repeated requests to either close or put a fraud alert/ hold on the account he refused to do anything or even provide me with any clear information on what, if any, steps they will take. This was a distressing response to a serious problem. I will request your support to ensure that the fraud account is closed, I am free if liability and Capital One provides information on how they allowed this to happen and what steps they will take to rectify this in future. Thanks.

Consumer Complaint: Hi, On both dates XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX I received an email from XXXX saying Thanks for requesting a new credit card, also received an Hard inquiry on XX/XX/XXXX. This was NOT me requesting any credit cards. I immediately called XXXX at XXXX reported the following and they " solve it '' on there end and closed the account and send me some mail with a reference number saying that they apparently solve it. On XX/XX/XXXX I called XXXX, XXXX and XXXX to make sure that they can solve anything and to take out the hard inquiries out of my credit. They all told me that they were going to put a freeze for 1 year of fraud alert. But now today XX/XX/XXXX I received a other notification from XXXX XXXX notifying me of another hard inquiry from Capital One which I DID NOT request. I will be calling Capital One on XX/XX/XXXX to make sure this is not an problem again because I did not request anything with them today. I just want to get to the bottom of this because its getting to out of control in a small amount of time.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023, I sent via certified mail to the headquarters of capital one financial corporation addressing the XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX and the legal department, my legal tender of payment ( Bill of exchange ), Along with the instructions regarding account ending in XXXX. Capital one responded XX/XX/2023, stating my request could not be acted upon because I was currently the primary account holder, and responded on XX/XX/2023, stating in order to fulfill my request that i could either call or mail in the documents for my consent to this request. I then proceeded to call and spoke to a representative named XXXX ID number XXXX and a supervisor named XXXX ID number XXXX, neither of the persons i spoke to knew what i was explaining and denied my request saying that it was not accepted and that they do not accept the form of payment that was sent via certified mail. On XX/XX/2023, I mailed my petition for equitable relief to the clerk of court for the United States district court in the eastern district of North Carolina. On XX/XX/2023, I sent via certified mail another bill of exchange for accounts ending in XXXX, and XXXX. On XX/XX/2023, I received notifications from XXXX that both accounts were closed by XXXX. I then called customer service to speak to a representative regarding the accounts being closed, i was told i would be receiving in the mail as of why they were closed. On XX/XX/2023, I received the letter in the mail stating my accounts were being closed ( illegally ) and stating that i was still responsible for paying until account reaches XXXX. On XX/XX/2023, I sent via certified mail to the XXXX XXXX XXXX an affidavit of truth & a cease and desist letter with the demands from i, the consumer, along with proof of the violations that occurred upon closing my accounts illegally, and a bill of particulars for each and every violation that occurred because of capital one 's actions. Capital one is in breach of fiduciary duty which is a violation of civil money penalty 12 USC 504. Capital one has willfully violated 12 USC 504 and is knowingly in violation of 12 USC 504 and has still not complied. Capital one is also in violation of 15 USC 1666d and several other codes listed in the attachments provided. I hope this matter is resolved in good faith for I have been damaged by capital one 's illegal actions.

XXXX advised me that they will cancel this card and to reach out XX/XX/XXXXXX/XX/XXXX andXX/XX/XXXXto obtain alert. On XX/XX/XXXX I a alert that a Capital One inquiry was noted on my credit report and some had just applied for a credit card.
