Consumer Complaint: I went to Capital one to make my credit card payment with my debit card, as the XXXX is my due date, and with a debit card payment it posts immediately so my payment is accounted for immediately on both end for the credit card company and reflects in my bank account as well. They have taken away the option for a debit card payment and they will only allow a transfer directly from a bank account. On top of it coming directly from a back account it will take 3- 5 days to post to either account. I called customer service to see if it was a system problem and they claim they notified all customers that they would be taking that option away, however I never got anything stating they would be doing this. They would not send me the notice that it was changed, nor is this acceptable as the account continues to accumulate interest, and/or it gives the consumer a late payment even though the customer would have been able to have the payment paid on time, as normal. These are deceptive practices in accruals of additional money to the company and not taking into account other peoples life styles that don't have the opportunity to have a bank account to make payments.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023 I made a purchase for a XXXX XXXX XXXX for {$160.00} on my Kohl 's Credit Card for store pickup. I was unable to pick it up so the item pickup expired within a week on XX/XX/2023. On XX/XX/2023 the store did a return and refunded {$160.00} to my Kohl 's Credit Card. Also at the same time, on XX/XX/2023 the store charge my Kohl 's Credit Card the original amount for {$160.00}. So I never received a refund. Since XX/XX/2023, I have contacted Kohl 's customer support via chat and phone calls numerous times to resolve the issue. Each time, I am force to explain over again the issue to costumer service. I have been told on three occasion that I would receive a letter in the email explaining the issue and a refund will be coming. I was told by customer service that I still need to make the payments to my Kohl 's Credit Card for an item that was never received to avoid late payment charges. Which I did make a payment on already. Last communication on XX/XX/2023 via chat, inquired and had to explain the situation again and inquire about the refund status again. Was told to contact customer service team at XXXX again and to expect a letter in the mail. Never received any letter in the mail and no refund for {$160.00} to my Kohl 's CC for the item I never had in my possession.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX Claim # XXXX On XX/XX/2023 I disputed a transaction with XXXX through Capital One bank. I disputed this transaction because the vending machine I purchased from the merchant did not work at all and I had to replace by purchasing a new one. I sent Capital One all of my evidence via email. I can tell that they did not read my evidence because they still sided with the merchant. I asked them to reopen the case. They never requested additional details about the case. They just told me that it would take 10 business days to review. I contacted them during this time to submit additional documentation to support my case and the phone rep gave me the wrong email address : XXXX the correct email address is XXXX. So I resubmitted the documents to this address today and I received a statement that they sided with the merchant again proving that they did not review my evidence again. And after the phone rep today XXXX XXXX XXXX stated that they would reopen the case. The vending machine I received from the merchant selling on XXXX voltage was above the standard and maximum amount for the US. Based on the Department of Energy the standard in US is XXXX XXXX the machine I received was XXXX XXXX. The merchant lied and said that the machine was XXXXXXXX XXXX. The machine did not work at all. ( In the United States and Canada, national standards specify that the nominal voltage at the source should be XXXX XXXX and allow a range of XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) ( 5 % to +5 % ). Historically, XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX and XXXXXXXX XXXX have been used at different times and places in XXXX XXXX. There is not only a physical difference between plugs, but also an issue of electrical incompatibility. There are various voltages as well as frequencies used throughout the world. For instance, in the United States, we use XXXX ( XXXX XXXX ), while in many other countries, XXXX ( XXXXXXXX XXXX ) is used. This is because the electrical standards were originally established by the individual countries and at the time, there was no international standardization. So if you travel to another country, and you would like to take your favorite electrical device ( e.g. digital camera, laptop, XXXX player ) then make sure you also have an appropriate converter as well. ) The merchant also lied stating that the machine was left outside and got wet. This is not true my machine was installed at the mall location the same day and housed under two roofs. I asked the merchant over 5 times how could I return the machine and they ignored my request each time. The merchant offered to send parts for me to fix the machine myself. This is not an acceptable solution this is equivalent to me purchasing a brand new car, it not working and the dealer saying we are not going to let you return the car, but we will send you the parts to fix it yourself. The company is basically stealing my money by selling a defective product. The bank has been less than helpful because if they review my material they will find that I was not a fault and the merchant sold me a defective item.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I received two emails from Capital One stating that I had been approved for a XXXX XXXX XXXX card and that my phone number had been updated. I never applied for a card from Capital One. I created an account using my SSN and found that it was registered to a phone number that was not mine. I called Capital One and they canceled the account and opened an investigation. Today ( XXXX ) I received three emails from XXXX. One email said that my XXXX credit card was approved. Another said that I had updated my phone number to XXXX ( which is not my number ). The third email said that my XXXX Total Checking application was being reviewed. I have never applied for any sort of XXXX card or banking account. I called them and they canceled the accounts.

Consumer Complaint: I rented a car from XXXX while my car was in the body shop. The rental period was from XX/XX/2023 and the car was returned on XX/XX/2023. I returned the rental car to the body shop on XX/XX/2023 and I understand that XXXX picked up the rental car that same day. On XX/XX/2023 I got a text stating that I was over my credit limit. XXXX had charged my credit card {$670.00}. I went to the XXXX location in XXXX where I had rented the car on XX/XX/2023 and they told me that after a car is returned you have to go through their corporate office. I originally though that the {$670.00} was the car rental cost, My car insurance company paid the cost of the car rental. It took over a week to find out that XXXX had enrolled me in XXXX XXXX fraudulently without my knowledge. I have had an active XXXX XXXX for many years so there is no need to rent a temporary XXXX XXXX. During the rental period I went through a toll on XX/XX/2023 and on XXXX. I had my XXXX XXXX in my hand on both occasions but i found out later that my XXXX XXXX did not go through because XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX was mounted higher. I did not even know that the XXXX XXXX was activated. I am being charged for some thing that I never ordered. The credit card company is aware as I have put in many disputes. I have always paid my bill on time. All I owe is the toll and toll fee which comes to {$30.00}. I am a XXXX XXXX on a fixed income and can't afford to pay {$670.00} for something that I never ordered. I NERVER ORDERED XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX IS OVER {$22.00} A DAY. My credit is being ruined because of this. The bank knows I always pay my bills on time. I have already paid the {$30.00} to Capital One. I have a credit card and a car loan from Capital One so they need to treat there customers better. I have sent my XXXX XXXX statements to XXXX but Capital One continues to bill me.

Consumer Complaint: I had a severe case of Identity Theft which is now in the hands of Congressman XXXX XXXX of MD and Senator XXXX XXXX XXXX. This began in XXXX. I was living with my boyfriend and I am convinced that he stole my cards from XXXX to XXXX and Capital One Bank. In XX/XX/2021 after an assault and battery that occurred on me, when I was hospitalized with severe injuries to my right shoulder neck and back. Things progressively got worse because when I was not home, they went through my things and stole a bunch of my property, including a laptop which they were able to get online and get onto my capital one account my XXXX account, my XXXX, everything I had was gone in one day. The names of the perpetrators are : XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX. I was also forced out and was homeless after that and my company was still struggling with COVID REGULATIONS. I don't think I worked for XXXX years. I lost everything it's in the hands of Congress because I'm trying to change my Social Security number. It's that bad. And these credit companies, one by one are suing me. Having been released without prejudice and due to MD CODE 305. I was relieved from the fraud case by a judge in civil court. And now I expect to have to do this again
