Spoke with Representative on XX/XX/XXXX, they advised they still since balance due. If account was charged off, should not be reporting currently on credit file as well. I have also been reached by the debt collector, XXXX XXXX XXXX on behalf of CAPITAL ONE, debt has been purchased already. Several instances of committing fraud! I have attached the Copy B receipt from the IRS which has been paid in full and no amount is owed.

Consumer Complaint: Someone opened a Capital One credit card on my Capital One account where I already had a credit card in my name under their name like a child 's account attached to my card. I realized it and started contacting them with the charges made to my credit card in my name that were not mine and the entire card that was attached to my account in another name. The people barely spoke XXXX and obviously misunderstood what I was saying over and over and over every time I called. They did an investigation on the charges under my name and removed them but when I called back about the whole other card on my account, I spent XXXX hours on the phone with various representatives that would remove the charges and they would instantly get charged back to my account after we hung up. I kept calling back and they said things like " oh sorry we don't see any investigation opened up about that '' and " I am going to remove them now, it is going to be taken care of '' and " I had to add the card back and remove them and now it is fixed '' or " I am opening the investigation now and will let you know ''. None of these statements were true and it is as if they could not understand at all what happened. All of the charges were deducted from my account and added back several times almost instantly. I never received a notice of another investigation into the card opened on my account where every single charge was fraud. I have called until I have wasted so much time on the phone for them to assure me it is taken care of and the moment we hang up, it is either not done, or reversed. This is unbelievable.

Consumer Complaint: I am attempting to change my address, which they have on file for XXXX credit cards but not for this one ( Platinum ) in particular, for some strange reason. My issue is the bill and the payment notification WITH ACCOUNT information is being mailed to the previous address I lived at and compromising my privacy. Allowing the new people living there to access to my financial/credit card information. I attempted to change the address online but was informed due to my account being restrictive that I was unable to make the address change unless I called customer support. On XX/XX/2023 at XXXX I contacted Capital One at XXXX and spoke with representative " XXXX ''. I told her that I would just like to change my address. She asked me for my phone number for 'verification ', which I provided, then she told me that that number, which is my number for many years was not able to be used. She informed me that she could not change the old address to the new address, which mind you, is already on file with XXXX other Capital One accounts, without me 'verifying ' myself by uploading my ID to them. XXXX ' also acknowledged when I asked her about this, that without that information the people who lived at the new address would still receive my bill and credit card info, as 'policy ' told her that she could not change my id without 'verification '. At this point I informed her to close the account. Which ... that's right. Did NOT REQUIRE ANY VERIFICATION. She closed my account without verifying it was me, or asking me for any information. I asked her if she realized how hypocritical and consumer hostile that was. Whereas she could cancel the account without any XXXX ', Phone # etc... but she couldn't change my address on the bill THAT IS GOING TO ANOTHER PERSON. She told me it was 'policy '. I then asked her to go paperless. Because we all know how companies bang the drum on going 'paperless '. And of course she told me .... she couldn't do that without verification. Unbelievable. Any REASONABLE person can see exactly what is going on here. I need assistance from the CFPB to protect my financial information from being mailed to an old address. Allow me to change my address. Or simply shift me to paperless billing. With out the 'fuax bs ' of needing 'verification ' to make account changes. If I can close my account without verification ( I could be anybody on the phone with XXXX ) I should be able to change my address, and protect my privacy and information.

Consumer Complaint: On my Capital One Platinum Credit card ( closed as of XXXX ) I am enrolled in a hardship plan. Things are very difficult right now economically as I'm sure you are well aware. I'm trying my best and making a good faith effort, but it's tough. I entered into a 3 month payment plan ( see attached image ) with a monthly payment of {$120.00} On XX/XX/XXXX I made that automatic payment and was immediately charged a {$40.00} Past Due fee. ( see attached image ). I was confused and realized it had to be some mistake, as I have entered into the payment plan. I acknowledge that interest fees still apply. But I WAS NOT LATE with my payment. I contacted support and they informed me that even though I am on a payment play IT IS NOT THE MINIMUM PAYMENT! That I would be charged a {$40.00} fee for PAYING THE 'HARDSHIP PLAN ' amount and NOT ADDING IN THE EXTRA. So that even though I'm enrolled in the plan, at the amount that they offered, they will charge me {$40.00} a billing cycle because it is NOT THE MINIMUM PAYMENT. Effectively keeping me trapped and charging me more and more I ask how is this not some type of fraud and deceptive behavior? How is this predatory behavior allowed to exist? This needs to be fixed and I need some resolution and help here because this is NOT RIGHT. I acknowledge that my credit situation is less than optimal ( medical reasons ). And I am attempting to get the ship righted. But how can ANYONE, with such obvious deception and predatory tactics, hope to get financially 'out-of-the-hole ' when Capital One is using 'bait and switch ' behavior on those trying to do the right thing? I need a resolution to this so that my agreed upon amount isn't being hit with 'late fees '.

Consumer Complaint: I enrolled in to the XXXX in XX/XX/2023 and the money that was paid in from beginning of the loan till XXXX was taken out the account to be adjusted in the interest and reallocated back to the account. When they did this it made my account go severally delinquent ending up in collections within Capital one auto finance and then it was sent to mine and my wifes credit as a charge off resulting in my credit dropping XXXX points and my wifes dropping XXXX points. All because they took way to long to reallocate the fund taken out and I called every week religiously telling them whats going on and no one wanted to listen to me. And now my wife and I are suffering because our credit is all messed up thanks to capital one bank we cant buy a house now and also we feel like we are being punished by using our XXXX thats a federal act to lower our interest, the interest was lowered and the difference in the interest of the 28 month we made payments were applied to XXXX XXXX and we will be resuming payment in XX/XX/2023. But for capital one to take over a month to figure out the difference in interest of XXXX payments and the money had been taken out the loan account made it delinquent resulting in false credit reporting. I spoke with Presidents office at Capital one and they owned they made a mistake but we are still suffering and havent gotten all our points back and plus we are suppose to have more points back because the auto loan decreased. So the amount reported as charged off was {$18000.00} something dont know exact number but after the interest was lowered our principal balance as of today is {$14000.00} and I talked with XXXX with the presidents office and he said that they would send over the credit information to the credit bureaus so they did that and the amount reported on my auto loan was {$16000.00} which is incorrect again and nothing was reported to my wifes credit since the charge off was made shes still XXXX points short. I have an attorney that gave me yall information to file a complaint. So I hope this doesnt happen to anyone else Also my name on the auto hasnt been updated its XXXX XXXX not XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX
