Consumer Complaint: This is about the capital one data breach, class, action lawsuit. Ive had an account with them for several years and knew nothing about the class action lawsuit until I saw something saying that people gotten paid for their information been breached. I contacted them letting them know that I never received any information about the lawsuit and I was told that an email was sent in XX/XX/2022, and that it was too late for me to be added to the lawsuit. The representative could not provide the email address that the said email was sent to, and of course I have no email from Capital One saying anything about a class action lawsuit I was never told about the lawsuit. I was informed that it was too late and there was nothing that I could do because I missed the cut off date. This is unfair.

However, I did not learn of this until today, XXXX XXXX XXXX after calling Capital One myself at XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX, when they told me I was apart of the settlement. I never received said email or it went straight to spam and auto-deleted itself. I wish to hold capital one accountable in the way they inform their customers and also get my earned money back from the settlement that I didnt know to file.

Consumer Complaint: I am utterly dismayed by the recent handling of my Capital One rewards credit card account. In XXXX, I opened the account with a {$300.00} limit, only to have it unceremoniously closed by Capital One in XXXX. I diligently monitored my account through the mobile app and discovered that my payments, which I have bank statements to confirm, were consistently rejected. Upon reaching out to Capital One for an explanation regarding the restriction placed on my account, I was informed that it had been closed, leaving me responsible for an outstanding balance, which has now ballooned to {$400.00}. To add to my exasperation, after I made the minimum payment of {$62.00} on XX/XX/XXXX, it too was inexplicably returned. Consequently, my balance has swelled from {$300.00} to {$400.00}. Regrettably, I can not acquiesce to this situation. Capital One 's actions, or lack thereof, are not only unacceptable but also professionally and morally reprehensible. If a resolution is not reached promptly, I am left with no alternative but to explore legal avenues to rectify this grievous error. This situation has shaken my trust in Capital One, and their conduct in this matter is, without a doubt, the most deplorable I have encountered with any credit card company.

Consumer Complaint: Capital one updated their system and my minimum payment changed, but my auto payment was never adjusted on their end. I had set up my payment to take the minimum due, so that it was never late. They never contacted me and continued to report me late and charge me late fees and interest. I pay my accounts and have them all set up on auto and I am never late. My wife tried repeated times to discuss and get this fixed and they are reporting on me and my wife as being late 30 days XXXX through XXXX. I am going to seek Attorney counsel and legal action if this does not get resolved on both our credit reporting. My wifed has called several times because I work late and I have given them permission to speak to her on my behalf and they refuse to resolve.
