Consumer Complaint: A company named XXXX XXXX hired me for a new position, prior to my start date I had to do a few cases to show I was capable for the job. The last case was to purchase cell phones and mail them to their XXXX XXXX office. I purchased 3 cell phones, 2 cells phones with a charge of {$2000.00}, and 1 cell phone with a charge of {$710.00}. and both were shipped to XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, NJ XXXX. They gave me two accounts that were supposedly their business accounts, one to pay off my credit card and purchase one XXXX, the other to pay the credit card I used to purchase the other 2 phones. About a week before my employment start date I realized all payments that were made by my new business credit account to my Capitol one credit card was reversed, and payments made removed four weeks after paying off the card, but also the company was fake. so I lost my job, but they also stole {$2700.00} plus fees from me Capitol One has done nothing to help me these past 5 years. I was clearly a victim of Identity Theft and fraud, which occurred on XX/XX/2018, and was reported to XXXX XXXX XXXX POLICE DEPARTMENT : on XX/XX/18, REPORT NUMBER : XXXX.

So, in a last-ditch effort to resolve the matter this morning, I called your offices five times at XXXX but your automated machine would not let me through. At this point in time, it appears Capital One has blocked my ability to access your customer service phone line to report unknown charges on my cards and theres nowhere to upload supporting documents on your website so I am overnighting the documents to the address listed on your website. Consumer Complaint: Capital One refused to allow me access to a check I deposited because they were suspicious of the sender 's account or me. The check came from my HOA and the phone number listed on the check is the cell number to the board president. It's a small condo association of XXXX units. They could not find the name of the HOA thru a XXXX search or in secretary of state so they dismissed that it was a real business. Then because they realized the number on the check was a personal cell phone, they said can't verify its really connected to the HOA. I even tried to see if the XXXX bank, XXXX, could reverse the funds back to the HOA. It took me XXXX phone calls to Capital One before a rep even agreed to contact XXXX to verify the board president has authorization on the account. I was Capital One customer for over 5 years. It took me XXXX hours on the phone. No one should have to go thru this as a customer.

Issue: Managing an account
Subissue: Banking errors
Consumer Complaint: About a month ago, I was looking at my XXXX Performance Savings Account online at CapitalOne.com and I noticed that the " Available Balance '' was a little over {$10000.00} less that the running balance next to my last transaction. Normally, these numbers are the same, unless there is a large transaction that has not cleared. This was not the case, so I called the bank and was told this was nothing to worry about, it was just an error in displaying the information correctly. Today, a month later, my account has the same problem. This concerns me as a former XXXX XXXX because it either indicates that the bank has been hacked or their IT staff is incompetent and have no idea what they are doing. Neither scenario is a good one. I am contemplating withdrawing all money from this bank and moving it to one that takes their online presence seriously. The website gives no email address for complaints, only the telephone number that I already used. I would appreciate it if you could contact someone at a more senior level and make them aware of this situation. Thank you.
