Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX recently alerted me to fraudulent activities and unauthorized credit inquiries made using my personal information. Specifically, credit cards were opened under my name with Capital One, XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX ( XXXX ) on XX/XX/2023 and XX/XX/2023. I want to emphasize that I did not apply for any of these credit cards or allow anyone to run my credit. It's important that I take immediate action to report these fraudulent activities and protect myself from further financial harm. Capital One XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX / XXXX XX/XX/2023 XXXX XXXX XX/XX/2023 XXXX ( XXXX ) XX/XX/2023 and XX/XX/2023 I never gave any consent or authorization, nor did I apply for any of these credit cards from the Companies listed above. I definitely did not give permission for anyone to run my credit. According to the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), I have the right to dispute any inaccurate or incomplete information in your credit report. Additionally, I have the right to request an FCRA deletion which requires the credit reporting agency to delete any information that can not be verified as accurate. Call to action to delete all credit applications of these companies that made the unauthorized inquiries and request that they close the applications and delete any associated information.

Consumer Complaint: Capital one has repeated " returned '' my car payment but I have not received the money back into my bank account. I called my bank today to confirm and I have no returned payments at all from capital one auto finance. I want to know where the XXXX my money is if it was supposedly returned. Why was it returned when it was accepted intially for my car payment then I was charged not only a fee but extra money toward my auto loan? This is unacceptable! Over the course of my loan I have {$1900.00} in payments what have been supposedly returned but no record from my bank that it was returned or the money was placed back into my account. The company has refused to acknowledge the information on their own mobile app stating the payment was not returned and they have no control over what the mobile app states.

Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/2023 I made a payment regularly to capital one for my 3 credit accounts. I noticed the following month while trying to balance my checking account that the money did not come out. So I called to speak with a representative to get it fixed, I explained that there must have been an issue with the automated system as I have never missed a payment before or after on any of my 3 accounts. I was then told that i could not get direct information since i was not the direct account holder, which made no sense because I am an authorized user on this account. I let it go because the representative said that while they cant tell me details without my son being present even with me being an account holder, that the problem would be noted. I pulled my credit last month and noticed that it was not fixed! I have reached out to all 3 credit bureaus to try to get this resolved and also to Capital one who is saying they have no record of the call! Also 2 accounts with the same account number are reporting different things, I have attached copies of that.

Consumer Complaint: I am writing to file a formal complaint against Capital One Bank for apparent violations of the Equal Credit Opportunity Act ( ECOA ), which I believe may constitute securities fraud. I am deeply concerned about the denial of my credit application by Capital One Bank, as I assert my rights as a consumer under the ECOA. Violation of Equal Credit Opportunity Act ( ECOA ) : I, as a consumer, am protected under the ECOA, which prohibits creditors from discriminating against applicants on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, marital status, or age. I believe that the denial of my credit application is a direct violation of my rights under this Act. Securities Fraud Implication : Denying credit without valid reasons may be indicative of securities fraud, as it potentially misrepresents the financial standing or creditworthiness of the consumer. Such actions can lead to false information being provided to investors and shareholders. Consumer Rights to Credit : The extension of credit is a fundamental consumer right. Denying this right without clear and justifiable cause not only violates my rights under the ECOA but also raises concerns about fair and ethical lending practices. I request that Capital One Bank either returns my credit application unendorsed or proceeds with the consumer transaction as per my rights. I believe that any denial of credit should be based on valid and non-discriminatory factors, and I request a thorough investigation into this matter. I kindly ask the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau to investigate this complaint and take appropriate action against Capital One Bank if any violations are found. I am also open to providing any additional information or documentation that may assist in the investigation. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
