Consumer Complaint: The problem is regarding the capital one quicksilver card. When you apply For the card it says theres a {$200.00} sign on bonus after spending XXXX. So I did so, I spent XXXX over the last 2 months and was expecting to get the reward. However I was not receiving the reward so I called capital one to ask where it was, and they told me the card was not eligible for the reward, even though it is advertised with the sign up bonus.

Consumer Complaint: In the XXXX of the year, I opened up 2 new savings account and a checking with Capital one. By the beginning of XXXX I had yet to receive my banking card and was only able to deposit money with a linked account from another bank. XXXX XXXX, XXXX, I deposited {$48.00} into the checking, {$40.00} into one of the saving, and {$57.00} in to the last savings account. By XXXX XXXX, and XXXX I was notified of fraudulent activities. On the XXXX, my original deposited {$48.00} was withdrawn. On the XXXX and XXXX there were deposits via ATM for {$980.00} and {$430.00}. I reported these transactions to the fraudulent department. XXXX XXXX I went and checked my account to see that the money from my locked accounts were being sent out via check and the number I received to call would not call back even after numerous voicemails left. Last few days of XXXX I was finally able to speak with a representative since I had yet to receive the money taken from my account. The representative told me that my accounts were closed and I wouldnt receive the money I had deposited into the accounts due to the bank not being able to determine which money was fraudulent. When I asked for more details they told me they couldnt give me any information on the accounts.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/23, I notified Capital One that a bill payment submitted on XX/XX/23 for {$420.00} was not received by XXXX. Capital One provided a copy of the check ( XXXX ) dated XXXX payable to XXXX. XXXX reported that the check was sent to the wrong address ( XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX ) and was deposited in the wrong account ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) . I filed another dispute with Capital One who declined the claim because their records indicated the payment was processed according to payment instructions I set-up in their XXXX XXXX XXXX . I have submitted three requests for Capital One to provide copies of their evidence indicating I changed the address for XXXX. Capital One continues to deny the claim without providing any proof nor resolution. The bill payment to XXXX was original created by me ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) over 10 years ago without any changes. Capital One has processed over 120 payments to the same XXXX address without any incident until they upgraded and outsourced their bill pay system this past XXXX It is evident that the conversion resulted in the system defaulting to another address that XXXX uses for other cities, outside the XXXX area. The address change appears to be a system error related to Capital One 's conversion or internal fraud among their representatives. Capital One has security in place that sends an email notice when address changes are completed by customers, in bill pay. If I changed the address Capital One should be able to provide a copy of their system generated email notice. Since I did not change the address, I know Capital One does not have any proof, of such. In spite of 3 requests for Capital one to prove I changed the address ; they just continue declining my claims. All of my communication for the past month, have been with Capital One 's Call Center ( XXXX ) and an unmonitored email box ( XXXX ).

Consumer Complaint: Took advantage of a balance transfer offer with XXXX for $ XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. As of XX/XX/XXXX check was not received by XXXX XXXX. Called in and XXXX did not know where the check was, and sent it to an unknown address that they said was not the correct one. Issued another check after I confirmed the correct address but will take another 15 + days where I have to pay interest, and my credit score is negatively effected. Will not provide tracking for new check or recognize error, and now I have an extra XXXX sitting in one of my accounts. Will not provide ANY concession for their error. Now I have an extra $ XXXX of credit usage effecting my score, and have to continue to pay interest.

Consumer Complaint: I received an email on XX/XX/2023 from capital one stating my new credit card was approved and ready to use. I did not sign up for a card from capital one. I immediately called their customer service number and they assured me that the account was closed and a fraud report was filed. They did not provide me with any documentation on anything. I then called them on XX/XX/2023 to see if I could recieve some sort of documentation and I was told that a piece of mail would be sent to me. Now on XX/XX/2023 I received another email from capital one saying my email was updated on my account. I called capital one again because supposedly my account was closed and nothing should be updating on my closed account. They said that although there is an investigation open, the account cant be closed until the investigation is complete. This is ridiculous and should not be a standard for capital one. This needs to change immediately

Consumer Complaint: I inquired in XXXX of 2023 about discharging my balance. I had another credit card with the same company that i intended to use for a trip. My inquiry must have incited a hatred and comtempt because I recieved a letter stating I was trying to do fraud and as a result they closed my accounts and reported to the credit monitors that they had made some agreement with me when in fact they refused to tell me that I had right to rescind, dispute, or discharge the debt and their particular methosd to do this. They shut off my application acces and they have sold the debt to a third party that I never gave permission to share my private personal information, and contact information to harrass and bother me. I have not recieved any tax information regarding them writing off the debt, and I am convinced this result in parking bad and erroneous information on my consumer for the sole purpose to make me look bad to other creditors. They are still sending me bills, despite selling the debt. Balance billing is illegal right?

Consumer Complaint: I already made this complaint, but did not know to create an account to follow up on it. So here it is again : On XX/XX/XXXX, I left the Finest XXXX XXXX resort after a prepaid weekend in XXXX, XXXX. I flew home and on my next credit card statement, there was a charge from XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX for {$1700.00}. This was not my charge or the travel agent ( Classic Vacations ) I used. It is also not the hotel I stayed in. I immediately called Capital One and reported the fraud. They initially removed the charge and replaced my card. A week later I got a letter from Capitol One stating there was insufficient evidence of fraud because : " Information we discovered leads us to believe you or another account user benefitted from the transactions ''. I immediately called them again and was told that since my physical card had been used ( the chip was used ) it was my charge. I tried to enlist their help investigating the merchant, but they refused. I can find no information on the merchant anywhere. The only possible time my card could have been compromised was when I took a cab at the airport and gave them the card to charge. They attempted to run it and told me it wasn't working so I paid cash. There are no other charges on the card from those dates. The credit card company refuses to change their ruling or assist me further.
