This included a Capital One account and now a new account has popped up that i did not open. i filed for bankruptcy and they settled it on XX/XX/XXXX. Consumer Complaint: I thought banks have to make funds available within about 2 days after a check deposit. I've made electronic transfers initiated from the Capital One savings account from my bank checking account and it takes a week for it to show up in the Cap One account. This time I read on the Cap One site the following : " Do mobile checks deposit instantly? In most cases, mobile check deposits arent instantaneous. You may have to wait at least one business day for the mobile deposit to process, and some banks may also have a cutoff time for deposits. If you deposit a check after that time, you may have to wait another business day for it to process. Tip : Capital One customers can typically access their funds the next business day. But if you deposit a check using your mobile app after XXXX XXXX XXXX your check may take additional time to process. '' So I installed the app and made a mobile deposit today XX/XX/XXXXand the app said it would be available XX/XX/XXXX- a week from Monday. Please investigate. Thank you.

Consumer Complaint: I am writing to file a formal complaint against Capital One concerning the handling of my Capital One Quicksilver Credit Card application and subsequent account closure. On XX/XX/2023, I successfully applied for and was approved for the Capital One Quicksilver Credit Card with a {$200.00} sign-up bonus. However, on XX/XX/2023, my account was temporarily restricted, and I was instructed to provide supporting documents, including a State Government-Issued ID, Social Security Card , Proof of Residence, and Bank Statements XXXX Promptly, on or around XX/XX/2023, I submitted all the required information as requested by Capital One. On XX/XX/2023, I received a call from a Capital One representative stating that the supporting bank statement from XXXXXXXX XXXX that I initially provided did not include an account number which they required. In response, I immediately sent an alternative bank statement from XXXX XXXX on the same day to fulfill this requirement. Subsequently, on XX/XX/2023, having received no response from Capital One, I proactively contacted them for an update. During this call, I was informed that my documents were received, and they needed additional time for processing. Following their advice to be patient, I waited several weeks for a response. However, not receiving any communication, I decided to follow up on XX/XX/2023. During this call, I was informed that Capital One had received and processed the supporting bank statement from XXXX XXXX but required further verification of the ownership of the account. The Capital One representative initiated a conference call with XXXX XXXX, during which the ownership of the account was verified. Subsequently, the representative requested a final piece of information : three months of bank statements from the verified XXXX XXXX account. I promptly submitted these supporting statements minutes after the call. To my astonishment, on XX/XX/2023, I called Capital One once again to inquire about the status of the verification process, only to discover that my Credit Card account had been closed on the same day as my previous call on XX/XX/2023. The reason provided for the account closure was inaccurately stated as my failure to supply the requested supporting documentsan assertion clearly contradicted by the fact that I had diligently provided all requested information at each stage of the process. This unfortunate situation has led to considerable inconvenience, and it appears that Capital One, through false statements and expressions of hope for the verification of my supporting documents, has misled and deceived me during the intervening period. I request a thorough investigation into this matter and a prompt resolution to rectify the unjust closure of my Capital One Quicksilver Credit Card account.

Consumer Complaint: I got an auto loan for a XXXX XXXX XXXX from Capital One Auto in XX/XX/XXXX. O contacted Capital One in XX/XX/XXXX to advise them I was not able to pay for repairs needed on the car and also I was not able to afford the car any longer. I spoke to Capital One on numerous occasions about this matter and let them know I wasnt in possession of the vehicle. I spoke to someone in the " impound dept '' for Capital One a male to let him know that the vehicle was at XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX. I was told they would go pick up the car. I was told it may or may not be considered a repossession. This was a voluntary repossession because I gave them back their car. Since then Capital One has kept adding fees as if I still have the car for monthly payments I paid when I had the car of XXXX XXXX monthly. They have continued to charge me this and I do not have the car. They have sent negative marks on my credit report as well. I have tried to dispute this and they continue to put negative balances on my account applying these fees monthly as if I had the car in my possession. They have basically harrassed me by calling every single day sometimes up to XXXX times a day. Ive had to get my number changed due to this. Its been constant harrassment. I have notified the XXXX of this as well because I am no longer responsible for this car as of XX/XX/XXXX. Whatever has happened or whoever has the car now is responsible for whatever fees. The car shouldnt even be in my name anymore. A XXXX employee looked up the vin and it showed another company or persons name has this car so why are they constantly reporting negative marks on my credit report and constantly calling sending mail to my family members home? This is Not my vehicle anymore! I gave it back to them! I no longer have any ties to this car and the negative marks and balances for this car needs to be removed!

I did, and lo and behold they don't see it either so there is nothing they can do * Now I'm back on the phone with Capital One trying to get them to close the other account that is using my SSN How to get this resolved? I'm at a loss getting thrown around from person to person and nobody actually helping me out.

Consumer Complaint: Hello. I have reached out to the credit reporting agencies multiple times before, and have not received remedy to my issues. It has come to my attention that according to the Fair Credit Reporting Act 15 USC 1681 section 602 a states " There is a need to insure that consumer reporting agencies exercise their grave responsibilities with fairness, impartiality, and a respect for the consumers right to privacy. '' XXXX XXXX, XXXX and XXXX are consumer reporting agencies and I am the Consumer. I have the right to make sure my private information isn't shared which is backed by 15 USC 6801 which states " It is the policy of the Congress that each financial institution has an affirmative and continuing obligation to respect the privacy of its customers and to protect the security and confidentiality of those customers nonpublic personal information. '' ( Furnisher of information to credit agencies ) is a financial institution by definition under that title. 15 USC 1681 section 604 a section 2 states that " In general Subject to subsection ( c ), any consumer reporting agency may furnish a consumer report under the following circumstances and no other : in accordance with the written instructions of the consumer to whom it relates. '' ( Furnisher of information to credit agencies ) the financial institution and the Consumer reporting agencies XXXX XXXX, XXXX and XXXX simply meaning they DO NOT have my consent to furnish this information and they surely do not have my written consent. I hjave NEVER given anyone written consent to furnish my information to anyone. Any and all consent to XXXX XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, ( Furnisher of information to credit agencies ) whether it be verbal, non-verbal, written, implied or otherwise is revoked. 15 USC 6802 ( b ) ( c ) states that " A financial institution may not disclose nonpublic personal information to a nonaffiliated third party unless the consumer is given an explanation of how the consumer can exercise that nondisclosure option. '' ( Furnisher of information to credit agencies ) Never informed me of my right to exercise my nondisclosure option. Not only that -15 USC 1681C ( a ) ( 5 ) states '' Except as authorized under subsection ( b ), no consumer reporting agency may make any consumer report containing any of the following items of information Any other adverse item of information, other than records of convictions of crimes which antedates the report by more than seven years. '' This account is an adverse item they are reporting again without my permission which is against the law. 15 U.S. Code 1681s2 ( A ) ( 1 ) A states " A person shall not furnish any information relating to a consumer to any consumer reporting agency if the person knows or has reasonable cause to believe that the information is inaccurate. 15 U.S. Code 1681e states '' Every consumer reporting agency shall maintain reasonable procedures designed to avoid violations of section 1681c of this title and to limit the furnishing of consumer reports to the purposes listed under section 1681b of this title. XXXX XXXX, XXXX and XXXX are not maintaining reasonable procedures. Also 12 CFR 1016.7 states that " A consumer may exercise the right to opt out at any time. '' I am opting out of your reporting services.
