Consumer Complaint: I did not ask to have alleged debt verified, or if said debt collector felt correct in it actions of reporting my personal information to consumer reporting agencies. I am simply letting you know that it is against federal law to furnish my personal information which may include but not limited to consumer utilization, late payments, or having an account in collection status. The decision that capital one has made based on adverse reporting of payment is causing Irreparable damage to my score. Consumer Complaint: I was charged an annual membership fee of {$59.00} with Capital One XXXX months ago on XX/XX/2023. I have had my card for years and am in excellent standing. I lost my job and can't afford this membership fee, I also won't be using the card to travel ( this is a travel card. ) I called and asked for the fee to be refunded on a pro-rated basis for the remaining portion unused and also to change my card type to a regular card that doesn't have a fee. I asked for the fee to be pro-rated for the unused months since it is an annual fee and I won't be using the privileges for the rest of the year. First, the representative tried to talk me into keeping this type of card which I can't afford. Then she transferred me to a supervisor who said she can't help me at all. I explained to her that it seems predatory to charge me a fee for services I won't be using and I '' m only asking for a portion of the fee to be refunded. She then refused to give me any more information about her supervisor or who else I could talk to once she told me there is nothing she can do for me after being a customer for XXXX years and paying this fee. I'm going through a hardship and after a decade in good standing with Capitol One they are refusing to refund me for a fee that is charged for services I won't be using. In addition the supervisor said the system wouldn't allow her- she shouldn't be a supervisor if she isn't empowered to actually help customers. I told her that this seems predatory and unfair and I was writing to the CFPB and she basically said she doesn't care- making even more work for her company- over a {$59.00} fee. Her ID is XXXX XXXX XXXX. By the time this complaint is reviewed and the time it will take to remediate it, Capital One could have just given me, a good customer of over a decade, the fee back. This is deplorable that banks feel the need to squeeze customers at a time when we are going through a hardship. I am also writing to the XXXX, the XXXX, and will be tweeting about this and posting on socials for my following of XXXX people.

Consumer Complaint: I called XX/XX/2023 to see why I got a returned mobile payment and why I got {$25.00} Late fee for the returned payment. I had to submit a new payment because of that. I asked if I could please get the {$25.00} Late fee waived off and they said no I couldn't but they did not say why. So I asked for a supervisor and spoke to supervisor by the name of XXXX ( Agent ID XXXX ) and she also refused and say no and did not tell me why. I am very upset by their customer service because I always make my payments on time and never get fees or interest fees so I am a good customer. I never asked for fees to be waived off and they could of done it as a one time. I am also going through financial issues so I can not pay more money.

But I have been receiving unsolicited credit card offerings from Capital One and its affiliates for years which disturbs a lot and I want it to stop. Over 1 month ago, I called Capital One customer service to stop. During that time, the representative promised the marketing will stop. But the Capital One and its affiliates ' offers still come to my mailbox. The opt-out service, a robo-phone service provided in the offers is also a sham. Consumer Complaint: Earlier this year i signed up for a credit monitoring app and found out that someone had applied tor 4 credit cards under my name to am address i no longer even live anymore, immediately froze my credit and place a fraud alert on my report, i reach out to these banks ( XXXX, XXXX XXXX, capital one and XXXX XXXX ) to let them know i wasn't the one who applied for these cards. I also found out that the bank detected the accounts where fraudulently opened and had terminated the cards but then the cards still appears on my credit report and have BADLY affected my credit score which went from XXXX to currently XXXX.
