Consumer Complaint: I have tried to resolve this for months. I spend hours on the phone, mostly on hold to get to someone. I always have to ask for a supervisor to even get someone to understand what I am needing help with and that takes a very long time. I have uploaded many files that I will upload today in regards to this claim. This company is blowing me off and I think its because they closed my accounts and now no longer care about me since I am not a client. That isn't ethical. In XXXX of XXXX I purchased something with emerson ecologics for {$130.00}. Those items never arrived. I disputed the charge multiple times and each time, Capital one closes the account and now are asking for payment on this account. I have texted and talked to XXXX XXXX on the phone multiple times, and each time they tell me they credited me back in XXXX in two amounts, that do not show up on the account and Capital one has confirmed they never received credit. This should be a cut and dry case. The emails from XXXX show that I am due a refund but for some reason, their credits don't come through. I am beyond frustrated with this process and the lack of support by Capital one. I wait on hold hours and then they tell me, oh, just upload the supporting documents and all will be fine. NOTHING changes. its so impersonal and I don't have the time or patience to wait online as a XXXX person who struggles with day to day health issues. The original charge is on XX/XX/2023. The charge has been credited then recharged, four times during this dispute process. I am due a full refund! This is my XXXX XXXX account. The second issue is that after this XXXX XXXX charge is credited, my balance should be at zero but for some odd reason, there is an outstanding 30 some dollars remaining. i have asked capital one to tell me where this charge/ balance originates as all charges should be credited but they never answer. this should not be a question that can't be anwered. It would take too long to send you screen shots of my entire account of charges and credits but capital one should be able to go through that and tell me where the outstanding charges occur that make up this balance they say I owe ( minus the XXXX XXXX ). I have been asking this for months and months!!

THEY WILL NOT REDUCE INTEREST, THEY WILL HOWEVER LOWER YOUR MONTHLY MINIMUM PAYMENT, IF THEY DO THIS YOU WILL BE CHARGED LATE FEES, RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYING BACK WHAT YOU COULDN'T PAY AND BUY THIS TIME YOUR MINIMUM PAYMENT IS ALMOST TRIPLED. MINIMUM MONTHLY PAYMENT IS XXXX TO XXXX ROUGHLY A MONTH. THEN WHEN INTEREST IS CHARGED IT IS A WOPPING XXXX TO XXXX ( ROUGHLY ) SO IF YOU CAN ONLY AFFORD TO PAY YOUR MINIMUM PAYMENT ONLY ABOUT XXXX GOES TO PRINCIPAL. I UNDERSTAND APR 'S AND SUCH BUT THERE NEEDS TO BE BETTER PROGRAMS FOR HARWORKING PEOPLE WHO PAY THEIR BILLS ON TIME AND WHO ARE LIVING IN AN ERA WHERE INFLATION IS THE NEW NORMAL. CAPITAL ONE IS A HUGE BUSINESS HOW ARE PEOPLE EVER GOING TO COMEBACK TO A NORMAL AVAILABLE CREDIT LINE IF SO MUCH GOES TO INTEREST AND YOU CAN ONLY AFFORD THE MINIMUM PAYMENT IF THAT SOME MONTHS.

Consumer Complaint: My bank account with Capital One was compromised via the online banking system. I asked Capital One on multiple occasions ( at least ten times ) to secure my online banking. They continued to fail to lock down my accounts and at least XXXX dollars was taken by the fraudster. Capital one continued to provide unclear direction on when they would secure the bank accounts or when they would provide me a refund. They continued to tell me it was my fault that this was happening and I needed to clean my phone which when I took it both to XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX they would tell me nothing was wrong. Ive wasted days trying to resolve this with Capital One and now I am aware that the fraudster accessed my social security number and other account information which Capital One fails to take responsibility for.

Consumer Complaint: Hello, I have a good credit limit across all my cards but except with capital one. Despite paying each month in full they never increased the limit. Capital one bank is one of the worst bank in the country and their algorithm to approval for the consumers is really strange. They abuse the customers by bucketing and charging high interest.

Consumer Complaint: We received a charge for a returned payment of XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. This was from a check dated XX/XX/XXXX. Our account has already been charged XXXX for that check on XX/XX/XXXX. We should not be receiving that charge again on XX/XX/XXXX. I tried calling and speaking with representatives all them said they checked into it and have no information other than the check was returned and to check with the bank. We did this back in XXXX which is why we were already charged for the returned check then. This is a duplicate charge and needs to be credited for XX/XX/XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: I had the opportunity to pay my account in full and received an interest charge of over {$65.00} which I paid on XX/XX/24. On XXXX they added additional interest fees of XXXX cents. I called to request that they be removed since I had now paid over the amount borrowed twice. I work in customer service myself and know that the customer is not always correct but this is abuse. I checked the balance both times before paying it and they keep playing this game of not including the full amount to the customer to keep adding interest charges. They like all businesses are sending the accounts overseas and we are dealing with lack of knowledge and curtesy to the paying customer. I ended up closing my account due to rude individuals dealing with us. The guy raised his voice and so did I. I regret getting myself in this situation since I am one to take care of my debts, unfortunately I had no choice.
