Consumer Complaint: I opened the account about 4mns ago, bank charged me a service fee on month 2, I called them and asked to cancel that fee based service and refund my service fee, which they did. Last month and this month I found the fee back again, I called them and they confirmed that I cancelled the service 2mns ago but they said they can't refund my last 2 fees ( totaling {$70.00} ) even though the service was cancelled 2 mns ago. I asked to escalate to a manager, they said someone will call me back and of course, no one ever did.

The first time they canceled and closed the account. This most recent opening i was told the same thing but still received a bank card in the mail with emails saying what to do with my new account.

Also I was an victims of missing unemployment benefits that was sent to bank of.america prepaid card services and just receive funds after two years of emailing, sending proof of fraud and I know they owe me a big interest compensation for hold my money. Consumer Complaint: I have occasionally tried to charge purchases on my BOA credit card - those charges were refused due to a lack of funds. I understand this and try to add monies to the account ASAP. I am sure this happens to millions of consumers daily! What I do not understand, is that BOA is reporting this to a credit agency ( XXXX ), when it happens. If the card was refused- fine, I will try and correct it. But, why is BOA reporting this to a credit agency ( see attached documentation )? This is having a negative effect on my credit score! It seems petty and spiteful. Is it perhaps because I have reported BOA improprieties in the past? Please investigate and keep me informed of your progress. Consumer Complaint: I was notified by email that an application was pending for an account in my name at Bank of America. The next day I also received another email stating my account was approved and open. I contacted customer service at Bank of America and reported this account as fraudulent, I was reassured it would be addressed/closed and it has not happened. I personally placed a " fraud alert '' on my credit report. I had never applied or opened the account, or given them any information, such as my email address, social security number, etc to be able to open an account in my name. I have received the debit card and welcome letter pertaining to said account. I have not received any recent communication from Bank of America regarding the status of my complaint or explanation of this " new account '' Thank you. I can provide copies of the " welcome letter '' and of the actual debit card that I received in the mail if requested.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX My wallet was stolen. {$4900.00} was charged to my Bank of America card at a nearby XXXX 's XXXX ( a store I have never shopped at and do not have a membership to ). I responded to alerts on my account, discovered the theft of my entire wallet, shut down my bank and credit accounts and replaced my driver 's license. XX/XX/XXXX BA credited me for the fraudulent charges. Great. XX/XX/XXXX BA opens a fraud dispute and charges me {$4900.00}. When I investigate these charges, I am told that the initial claim was filed incorrectly ( asserting that the card was still in my possession ) and they would need to resubmit. Since then, I have called and spoken to representatives on ( at least ) the following dates : XX/XX/XXXX XX/XX/XXXX XX/XX/XXXX XX/XX/XXXX XX/XX/XXXX XX/XX/XXXX Each time, I have to lead the fraud specialist through the situation, as if there are no notes on my account. As of today, I still have not been repaid. I am a small business owner and this theft put me in the red for XXXX. It is worth noting that other cards from my wallet were also used. Every other company resolved the fraud issue quickly and efficiently. I have been using BA products since XXXX, as they like to remind me on every enraging phone call, and have charged hundreds of thousands of dollars to this account. The frustration is almost as bad as the theft.

Consumer Complaint: on XX/XX/2023, i received letters from bank of america announcing they have closed my personal credit card and 2 other business credit card due to the XXXX credit reporting saying unsatisfactory performance on my credit card! I called, no one could explain more than XXXX reported that to them ... no investigation if this was true or anything .. this is PURE violation of my rights! my credit score is at XXXX! never been late, missed a payment, over used my card more than 10 %! and XXXX marked the closed account as : canceled by credit grantor!! it is absolutely FALSE! They closed my account associated with my social security number without my permission nor providing reasonable proof! I demand they reinstate my credit card and give me damages for this! it is against the law to provide false information on my report and they caused my businesses a lot of issues as their false information terminated my accounts too. I am not letting this pass, i know my rights.

I received emails that my application was accepted and called Fraud dept both times. I have contacted all 3 credit bureaus and put a freeze on my social.Problem is BOA does not check credit when opening a checking account, so this may happen again.Unacceptable.
