Bank of America 's XXXX sent confirmation text but the fund never deposited. The details of the complaint are as follows : 1. **Transaction Details** : - On XX/XX/XXXX, a XXXX transfer was initiated from XXXX XXXX XXXX Bank of America Account to XXXX XXXX XXXX Bank of America Account for {$1500.00}, which was successful. - On XX/XX/XXXX, a XXXX transfer was initiated from XXXX XXXX XXXX Bank of America Account to XXXX XXXX 's Bank of America Account for {$1500.00}. Although the funds were deducted from XXXX XXXX XXXX Bank account, the money was not received by XXXX XXXX. The text message from Bank of America shows it was sent on Thu, XX/XX/XXXX at XXXXXXXX XXXX : " BofA : XXXX XXXX sent you {$1500.00}, '' so it is evident that the money should have come back to my account, but I do not have the funds in my account. 2. **Issue Description** : I initiated a XXXX transfer on the date mentioned above, as confirmed by the XXXX confirmation text. However, the funds were never deposited into my bank account, and the XXXX transfer shows reconciled not cleared, also there was no notice of any time limitation or dispute timeframe provided during the initiation of the transfer. 3. **Contact with Bank of America** XXXX - Visited XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX BoA Branch on XX/XX/XXXX. I was redirected to call XXXX. However the customer service said the sender, XXXX XXXX has to call them not me. - XXXX contacted Bank of America 's customer service to report the issue and request assistance on XX/XX/XXXX. A case number was filed. Consumer Complaint: I have a small business account with Bank of America. I have had this account for 22 years. I weekly balance this account and match my ledger balance with what the bank has on record. It has always been within {$18.00} ( I have chalked this up to a 'margin of error ' over the many years and have not thought much of this ). Three weeks ago, as I had balanced the under 10 weekly transactions- this is not advanced molecular science- it is simple math ( my business sees very little volume now, as it is very part time ), the Bank and I did not balance - they said I had {$260.00} less than I had balanced out with. Despite multiple people checking multiple times, using multiple methods, we all ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) came up with the same result - the bank was down {$260.00}. I waited another week to see what would happen. The next week, the same conclusion, with less than 10 transactions. I made an appointment with Bank personal ; we spent 2 hours reviewing the math and he could find no error. He assured me he would work on it over the week and we made a follow up appointment with me for this past Tuesday at XXXX XXXX ( XX/XX/17 ). We sat down again - he had no answers. I asked then to file a complaint with the bank- it was unacceptable that {$260.00} just 'vanish '. He called someone and they affirmed that " nothing could be done '', because they could not " prove '' anything. I am appalled that after a 22 year relationship where I have upwards of {$200000.00} in this institution, they can literally " lose '' {$260.00} and offer no recourse ; it is not even difficult math/calculations to understand. To date, there is 1 outstanding check, so there is minimal " complicated math '' to appreciate - no missing checks from the ledger and yet less money than I have calculated. And I described a time in XXXX when I used XXXX to pay a friend and her bank recorded this account paying her twice, yet Bank of America has never noted that to be true. So, 'weird things ' can happen in this 'electronic money ' age - why is it so inconceivable that, in looking at these XXXX or so numbers, plain as day, there is {$260.00} of my earned money, Bank of America has someone lost/taken that out of my account? This is not a far reach for my imagination. Not only am I out that cash ; but they have lost a customer - but, that is seemingly not of concern to them. I write today, in hopes of actually having some resolve around the {$260.00} - that is not chump change to me ; as it may be to them. Thank you!

Consumer Complaint: When making attempting to complete the final {$34.00} of my monthly minimum payment for my Bank of America credit card in XXXX of 2022, the payment had been returned due to insufficient funds in the account attempted, which then lead to my credit card payment becoming 30 days late as a result. This was during a period financially where I was still experiencing hardship* from the COVID-19 pandemic, and continued difficulty obtaining new employment as a result. They then closed* my credit card immediately. I had maintained this credit card account for 10 years up to this point with XXXX late payments, and for my account to be closed immediately after XXXX late payment is disgusting. The reason being, is I paid not only the amount remaining for the minimum payment off within days of this occurring, I then paid off the entire $ XXXX balance off within the next week or so. My largest issue is that upon the return of the payment due to insufficient funds, I was NOT NOTIFIED of the returned payment. There was NO email communication, NO phone call, NO automated text, and NO notice by mail*. The ONLY communication I had received was that the credit card had been closed, after the fact, via mail. I submitted a complaint through the XXXX which Bank of America did reach out to me to inform me of the reasoning behind the actions, which I still do not agree with. Had I been notified AT ALL of the returned payment, I could have made accommodations quickly to avoid the payment becoming 30 days late, not to mention them taking it upon themselves to CLOSE the credit card ENTIRELY, since both of these actions affect my credit file TREMENDOUSLY. There has to been some regulation or law requiring them to provide a warning of actions taken against me if certain actions aren't taken to remedy an issue with a credit card account when then repercussions are as large as closing a credit line ENTIRELY without* warning.

Consumer Complaint: I was notified by Bank of America 5 days ago my bank account was locked and funds were not accessible to me due them closing my account with out notifying me prior to this. I believe this was due to me making numerous disputes for funds against a contractor that I hired for a home project but did not complete the work. I then filed a police report against the contractor for funds lost and notified my bank I wanted to dispute payments made to him. I had to college the project with a different contractor causing me run low on funds and being unable to make payments to the home improvement loan I had acquired. I have now been almost forced to cancel all my claims so my bank can close my account and return my funds to me but they are now notifying me I will be over 30 days till they mail my funds.
