Consumer Complaint: I had a countrywide home loan. After several years of not paying wind insurance, they sold the loan to Bank of America. Bank of America added over {$14000.00} to my mortgage for bank-placed wind insurance when it was not required. I also got behind and used a program twice to get me back in good standing but they would always find excuses as to why they wouldn't accept payments. So they wouldn't accept them, and kept adding late fees. Eventually the loan was sold to XXXXXXXX XXXX. and when I sold my house ( did not foreclose ) for {$600000.00} I actually had to come up with money to close when my mortgage was originally {$300000.00}. They took advantage every way they could to rack up the bill. I was in the house for about 15 years.

Dear sir, Today, I have received an email notice from your company to check the letter at your company website regarding XXXX XXXX Acupuncture. And I found out, on the first pages of each letter, the claim ID was my credit card ending number XXXX. And XXXX of letters do not have the claim ID. I would like you to instruct your bank employee to indicate the right claim ID, since I might have many letters near future. Consumer Complaint: Joint account holder at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Made a check out for XXXX to Bank of America XXXX : A A. B of A contacted, myself : XXXX G as a joint account holder of issued check. Reached out, per high quantity check, to see if it was valid, if we wanted it to go through. I said, I did not want it to go through, per B of A client, A A, previously having scammed XXXX my father. ( She needed help with funds, so was selling a truck, for XXXX. My father agreed to buy the truck. After he had paid his contribution, AA claimed they stole the truck and took it to XXXX. ) Hold was placed on releasing funds, per B of A connecting with MG ( Self ) sharing it was a scam, and to not release funds. ( AA had made XXXX believe, she had acquired a lawyer, to retrieve the funds from the " stolen '' truck Except, lawyer needed to be paid in advance {$15000.00}. (!!! ) XXXX, bought the story, check was written ) ) They recommended, I place a stop payment on check. I placed a stop payment, via XXXX ( issuer of check ) was charged a fee. Days later, I found out stop payment, did not go through, per funds already being at B of A Even though, B of A still had ( and still has ) those funds. B of A, decided not to release funds to their client, AA per lack of Trust. B of A had requested we get XXXX to XXXX funds. According to them, they can not give funds back directly to XXXX, it would have to go back, to the establishment : XXXX. So have XXXX : Recall the funds ( We've revisited B of A a number of times, they've shared they don't get why XXXX doesn't attempt to help us. ) XXXX, as of yet, has no forms that fit our scenario, since it was not fraud. They've connected with their Back office, XXXX has claimed ( XXXX XXXX time again, per various check, ins ) They can not recall our funds, because they don't have a claim form to do so. Apparently, thus far, they can't just make a new form, and we don't fit the other claim forms, criteria. So XXXX says it can not ask for our funds back per not having a form, that fits our situation. B of A has not released funds to client, nor to us, as the payee ( XXXX ). Yet, had shared, they'd like to help us, but funds " need to go back, via XXXX as the establishment '', so, theoretically, needs XXXX to Recall the funds. XXXX is unable to recall funds, per it not falling under fraudulent activity. We've lost touch, with the b of A client - recipient of check. ... The issuing of check was XX/XX/2022 XX/XX/2022 we were issued a stop payment fee ( Yet funds were not stopped. ) We need help, retrieving our {$15000.00} it's been over a year, without access to these funds. XXXX We are filing this complaint, requesting B of A release our hard earned funds, to us the XXXX. We've been without these funds for over a year and it has impacted us. Hoping to move forward, feeling supported.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a telephone scam in which the person posing as a XXXX police and prosecutor claimed that I was involved in a XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and money laundering case and I needed to be repatriated to my home country. In order to not be extradited I needed to submit a proof of funds to the XXXX. So the other party asked me to go to the U.S. BOA bank at about XXXXXXXX XXXX EST on XX/XX/XXXX to remit XXXX XXXX dollars to the other party 's XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX account, and to remit XXXXXXXX XXXX to the other party 's designated Industrial and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) account through the cell phone APP of the XXXX XXXX XXXX I found out on the evening of XX/XX/XXXX that this is a scam, and completely lost contact with the other party.

Consumer Complaint: Starting on XX/XX/XXXX, my Bank of America Visa Credit card was fraudulently used without my permission. The card was stolen and my account was changed from paper statements to electronic. I never did electronic statements, therefore I was unaware of the charges being made, till Bank of America called to say that payments were due, at which time they also told me of exorbitant charges being made on the card. I immediately denied the charges and asked for paper statements to be made available. Around XX/XX/XXXX I disputed the charges and asked for the card to be blocked, but the bank personnel whom I spoked to said to keep the card open to see if there will be any further activities. On receiving my statement of XX/XX/XXXX I noticed there were further charges that were made, so I blocked the card. Bank of America told me that they would take care of the fraud and there was nothing that I should worry about. Towards the middle of XX/XX/XXXX Bank of America wrote me a letter saying my dispute was being denied due to the card being swiped, pin being used and signature being used. I do not have a pin and the card was lost. Bank of America never asked for a police report. On my own investigation, I was able to determine the perpetrator and get a confession with promise to pay. Unfortunately all my attempts and patience were of no avail. I submitted a police report to Bank of America and I am in court trying to clear my name. I have over pain my dues by {$4600.00} as I continued to pay to protect my credit. The fraudulent charges total to {$13000.00} and total interest to date {$2800.00} bring the total to {$16000.00}. Once again I reiterate that I have not abused my banking privileges. Currently I am seeking legal assistance to settle this matter. Thank you.

Consumer Complaint: Yesterday ( XX/XX/XXXX ) I received a Mortgage Statement from Bank of America. The mortgage payment is due XX/XX/XXXX. The mortgage statement contains a line that shows I have paid {$9200.00} in XXXX Property Tax Payments ( this is the only purpose for the Escrow account ). My total property tax bill for the year is {$9800.00}. Based on this, the Escrow account due should be {$650.00} for XXXX which would cover XXXX property tax liability in full. Bank of America is billing me {$1100.00} and shows an escrow balance of {$4300.00}. THIS IS NOT ACCURATE. My husband ( authorized to speak and transact on this account ) called Bank of America and spoke - after being told " the call may be recorded '' - with a XXXX Florida Supervisor by the name of XXXX XXXX. It was explained to the Supervisor that Bank of America is knowingly over billing us for the Escrow account. We explained to the supervisor that all property taxes have been paid on this account. There was no arrearage substantiating the amount on the bill. The supervisor recommended that we contact the previous servicer on this account ( note - this account was with Bank of America originally ; then transferred to another services ; then transferred back to Bank of America ). Bank of America is responsible for accurate record keeping when they assumed this account. The Escrow account used to pay Property Taxes has been part of the mortgage payment from the beginning. The account has and continues to be current. The supervisor stated that Bank of America is not in the practice of checking records to ensure accuracy for the consumer when mortgage accounts are transferred to them. Thus, she directs us to reach out to an entity that is no longer responsible for this loan. This is not an appropriate response for such a large and well known banking institution. We believe Bank of America continues to violate federal law by its conduct on this loan.

Consumer Complaint: I had a bank account with Bank of America in XXXX. I lost my job and was waiting for Social Security to kick back in. I didnt do anything with the account all of a sudden the {$35.00} check ran through but it wasnt a check it was electronic check And I told him I didnt do that they investigated it and said that I did which I didnt they bounced it all the way to {$1500.00}. They lowered it back to {$960.00} I paid it all off I had told them when I paid it off. I wanted it removed from the check system. They said OK but then they didnt remove it. I cant get it a bank account because they put on their suspicious fraud activity. I was the one that reported suspicious cause I didnt recognize the charge and then they put on the other one account abuse see they tried to run it through the try saying it came in through the savings. It never came through. It was all done through checking savings was only used as a savings account. I never did nothing with that except for overdraft stuff.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX I received a wire transfer from XXXX XXXX XXXX which is a company where I sell my invoices to cover my payroll for my business. In the past I have received wires from this same company with no problems. Prior to receiving the wire I had {$4000.00} in my account. Bank of America placed a block on my card and said that I would have to wait until XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX to go into a branch. I went to the branch and was told to provide my XXXX XXXX PAPERWORK as well as my W9. The banker in the branch assisted me. The paperwork was said to be approved ; however, Bank of America then placed a hold on my account to investigate the wire. The banker advised the manager that I had received these wires numerous times. He also requested that BOA allow me access to my existing funds the manager denied access to those funds of {$4000.00}. He advocated for me explaining that I was traveling for work and had no money or money to pay for a hotel. They refused and said it would take 24 to 48 hours to remove the block. The next day they closed my account and denied me access to my funds and I am without money for food, hotel or gas.
