Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX, I spoke with Bank of America about my RV loan. I mentioned that I was out of work because of XXXX and was curious if they had a deferment program. I told them I would probably sell the RV, but the customer services rep told me about a deferment program where all the principal and interest is deferred for XXXX months. Since I had a similar program for my car, I took them up on their offer. During XXXX, I started noticing that all my payments were going to interest and none to principal. In XXXX only {$26.00} of {$4900.00} paid in XXXX was allocated towards the outstanding principal on my RV loan and a majority of these payments were overpayments. I contacted Bank of America and stated that this was incorrect as I was told interest would be deferred. I asked for a copy of the program I agreed to or the ability to listen to a recording of the call. They provided neither. I went to the OCC and they refused to investigate. I am asking that the CFPB require BofA to allocate more of my payments to interest and also pay a fine for profiteering.

Consumer Complaint: I was the victim of an extortion and blackmail scam where the hacker was using pictures of me and my family to get money from me. I had no choice but to send the remaining {$260.00} in my account to this person. This saved me and my family a lot of trouble. I am filing this claim the morning after and have called Bank of America in which they can not dispute the charge and get the money back into my account. I have never had any problems like this and this is ridiculous I had no choice but to send the money. I have provided photos of what has happened.

Issue: Fees or interest
Subissue: Problem with fees
Consumer Complaint: I complete a 0 % promo balance transfer with 3 % fee about a year ago. On my last statement I was changed my annual credit card fee of {$99.00} on XX/XX/. 14 days later, my statement closed, and I was charged interest on this fee, which the bank claims is a purchase. My complaint is that I think banks should not be allowed to charge interest on annual fees since they are not technically customer purchases, They have the discretion to charge this fee anytime of the billing period, so technically they could devise a corrupt plan to always charge the fee at the beginning of the customers billing statement to maximize interest for that month so even if a customer pays more than the minimum payment to cover the fee, they still get at least one month of interest, Banks can apply payments to purchases before the balance transfer or vice versa, so allowing this opens opportunity for devious banks to manage this in their interests. Also, my statement shows {$0.00} in purchases and a separate line for fees. If they see fees as a different line item, then it should be treated that way. Finally, the average balance interest is charged to is also confusing and does not match my fee amount.

Consumer Complaint: I recieved 2 different emails on XXXX from Bank of America that they have processed my 2 balance transfers. I immediately called them to let them know I did not request any balance transfers and that they are fraudulent. They said not to worry and they would take care of it and I was not responsible for fraudulent charges. Was glad they were on it and went on with life. About 2 weeks later I received 2 letters from Bank of America stating that my claim was denied and transfers were valid. I started to panic and called the fraud dept at B.O.A. and was wanted details on how they came to that conclusion. All they told me was one transfer was to a " XXXX '' mastercard and other one to a " XXXX '' card. I told them again I did not authorize any transfers and to follow the money to owns those cards. The agent told me their investigation had concluded and nothing more could be done. I really started to panic as both transfers added up to over {$10000.00}. Told the agent I needed all details on the 2 cards that initiated the transfers and she told me they aren't allowed to do so. Also 1 card had been locked down 2 weeks earlier and how a transfer could be made on a locked card. No response and here I am.
