Consumer Complaint: I have had a HELOC with Band of America since XXXX. I have paid the installment on this loan upon until XX/XX/XXXX since I was laid off from my job. I requested a forbearance or 3 months. Then when I still didn't find a job I requested an extension while I am trying to sell the house. I was given the extension. Meanwhile I sold the house and will payoff the loan at close of escrow on XX/XX/XXXX. When I requested the payoff quote, I was told my loan is in foreclosure as of XX/XX/XXXXXXXX and I was charged an additional XXXX for foreclosure lawyer. At any point I was not tole that my loan is going to be foreclosed and I had discussed the sale of my house and paying the loan off and the extension would be safe for me. I am .disputing the fee and having my loan in disclosure. BofA is not doing an honest business and even when a consumer does every effort to pay off the debt despite of the financial hardship they foreclosed and charged me additional fees.

Yesterday, I have called and an agent who was XXXX told me that she can see the documents and she has voided the cheque that was going to be sent to my Mothers Ex as the bank didnt see the documents and she will ask for reconsideration. Today, I have called from a couple of hours someone told me we dont know anything then I called just before sending you the previous XXXX e-mails and an agent called XXXX told me that the previous agents were giving me wrong information and they were acting as I am the one who initiated the claim and not the claim was initiated against me from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and I should send the documents again to this email XXXX in order the analyst can review the case and the fund is on hold. I dont understand how this can help with a huge reputable financial institution as you and with a fund XXXX, XXXX XXXX How can you do this with a customer that decided to deal with you and to put his money in a safe entity ( Bank of America )? XXXX screen shot that my mother is informing him that the money ( XXXX, XXXX $ ) and this proves that he has transferred the money by his own will & he was lying by his submitted claim XXXX false accusation was taken into consideration because he is the customer of XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX didnt investigate the case before reporting to you ( Bank of America ) however, I am your customer received a very horrible treatment from your side again without investigating and harsh decisions were taken from your side as a verdict of the false accused case that was implemented by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX which were the closure of my accounts without stating any reasons and when I tried to know the only response that I have received was its a business decision and not only that but also freezing my money and when I tried to understand why nothing was informed from your side except after my complaint to the Consumer Financial protection bureau XXXX This verdict which was freezing my money & harming my reputation wasnt neither expected nor acceptable from your side to an honest Customer that gave you the preference to save his money which is an important manner for anyone without investigating or even informing me with the case. However, I think that when you press charges to someone you should have a solid evidence and inform him about it which wasnt in my case everything was mysterious till my complaint to the consumer financial protection bureau. On the contrary, I think if any other bank would have respected his customer by at least reaching out to him in order to take the right verdict and not throw accusation as the other two parties did ( XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX ) but this wasnt done from your side I am really suffering & struggling from this awful treatment till now as it has very enormous impacts on me materially & morally as I have spent many time with you on the phone struggling with your customer service trying to get information about this false accusation and trying to clear to you the picture that it was a false accusation and this time was during my working hours which has caused me so much trouble at work because I was using the phone for too long. Even though, Im struggling financially as you have frozen my funds without any rights and Im living on my credit card which is another matter of trouble because as you know that this money that is credited will be returned all with interest. Furthermore, Im struggling with a health problem as I have a problem with my XXXX and due to your bad & horrible treatment I cant pay the cost of my XXXX XXXX. I have concluded from all this experience that you dont care about your customer even if he was dissatisfied and false accused by someone who was actually considered as a family member and decided to do illegal actions by false accusing someone and harming his reputation. I have also attached this time some new documents in order to proof to you that I was false accused as my mother & XXXX XXXX XXXX flying tickets to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in order to proof that he came to XXXX several times. The question that I have in mind is why is XXXX conspiracy theory has got the acceptance of XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and of you ( Bank of America ) without any solid evidence, however he has transferred the money on the XX/XX/XXXX ( XXXX $ ) and later on XXXX $ to the same account on the XX/XX/XXXX and waited for XXXX months which was after he came to XXXX again and returned back to XXXX and had the conflict with my mother and then reported that the original wire of the amount ( XXXX $ ) was fraud and not the other!. I dont think that its possible that if you buy a car and transfer the amount to the agency and then claim after XXXX months that the wire that was transferred to the agencys account was fraud can be acceptable by any party which is an awkward situation I am actually facing now. Please take in consideration that I have been struggling for this matter around 3 months now which means to you around the XXXXbusiness day even after submitting my first letter and the above-mentioned documents, I am informed from your claim department after calling them that you have sent asking XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX about their answer concerning this matter! Are you waiting for their approval in order to return my funds even after your analyst reviewed the submitted documents? Although, XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX didnt put any efforts as a respectable & reputable bank to investigate the case, however, they ( XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX ) threw assumptions at me and you ( Bank of America ) have given me a harsh verdict ( freezing my funds ) according these allegations & assumptions. So, are you still waiting again for their final decision?! As a matter of fact, I request that you take the fast & correct procedures & actions and return the funds to me because I have proved to you by solid evidences that this fund is mine. Consumer Complaint: Hello, Back in XXXX, I received a check from the XXXX for {$180000.00}. I deposited the check into my BoA Business Checking account and the account has been locked ever since. I have not been able to access not even a PORTION of the money. It seems that sometime between the initial blocking of my account and today, BOA has closed my account and claims they issued a check back to the XXXX. I have caught BOA lying multiple times. I've called the XXXX and they have repeatedly told me that they have not received a check from BOA. In fact, the original check was made out to my business/me therefore the refund should've been issued to me. In the eyes of the XXXX, the check they originally sent me was deposited. Please have BOA conduct an investigation on where that check is and have it immediately reversed and sent to me. It's alot of money and I am very nervous something might have happened to it. Consumer Complaint: I lost my wallet which included my credit card. Someone charged {$300.00} on the card, and I filed a dispute with Bank of America. They denied the dispute a few days later stating I used my pin for the card and signed for the purchase, which makes me liable. First off, my credit card has no pin so that's already false, secondly when I asked for copies of my signature that they claimed was used, they refused to provide it. I did not make this charge and they are making up false information against me.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX payments with XXXX XXXX XXXX that I paid with my Bank of America account were duplicates. 1 of {$350.00} and another of {$86.00}. I contacted Bank of America on XX/XX/2023 before the duplicates posted and told them what happened. They told me to wait until it posts and they'll give me immediate temporary credit to offset the duplicate charges while they investigate and also waive the late fees if it makes my account negative. So on XX/XX/2023 the duplicates both post and make my account negative and they charge me with XXXX overdraft fees. I call in and explain the same thing I explained previously and the rep didn't want to help me and was annoyed I called about it. Said I could have disputed on the app. Then when she does it over the phone she tells me there will be no temporary credit for me and that. I'll have to wait XXXX days. I then spoke to the manager and she said the same thing and that there's nothing she can do to help. I was proactive with the duplicate charges to tell them and then lied to about the process on which they handled this. This is unacceptable and my account is going to be hit with charges daily until I get it positive now. I contacted XXXX again and I'm still waiting for it to post on there end and when it does they said they will refund it in my XXXX savings account which will take XXXX business days. Then I will have to drive to XXXX withdraw that money and drive to Bank of America to deposit. The problem with this now is that Bank of America is going to charge insignificant funds fee of {$40.00} a day I believe when they shouldn't as I was proactive and told them what happened with duplicate charges.

Consumer Complaint: On my edd card I had someone use all my benefits prior to me ever receiving the card. I filed a claim well over a year ago and was lied to by Bank of America saying they filed a claim for me. A year goes by I never hear from the bank so I call only to find out I was lied to over a year ago and a claim was never filed. So I been waiting well over a year for something they lied to me about. Bank of America had been sued for this by people already and a federal judge ordered them to take claims more seriously and they flat out lied to me about even opening a claim. This has put me in a serious financial situation and Ive reached out to them to re open they said they did however today is the 10th business and I still havent gotten my provisional credit. I feel it is so wrong and illegal what they did.

Consumer Complaint: To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against Bank of America concerning an incident that I believe constitutes a violation of the Expedited Funds Availability Act ( EFAA ) and Regulation CC. On XX/XX/2023, I deposited a cashier 's check into my account at Bank of America. Despite the nature of the instrument being a cashier 's check, which typically warrants a shorter hold period due to its near-equivalent status to cash, Bank of America has placed an extended hold on these funds, with a release date set for XX/XX/XXXX. This extended hold is considerably longer than the standard timeframes outlined in Regulation CC, which generally requires XXXX XXXX to make funds from cashier 's checks available within one business day after the deposit is made. The delay in the availability of my funds has caused significant inconvenience and potential financial hardship, as I am unable to access my own money. I have attempted to resolve this issue directly with Bank of America, but have not received a satisfactory explanation or resolution. Therefore, I am seeking assistance from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau to investigate this matter. It is my understanding that the CFPB is committed to ensuring fair and lawful practices in the banking sector, and I believe this situation warrants such attention. Consumer Complaint: So i woke up on a XXXX morning to a charge of {$300.00} from my BofA checking account, i called the customer service and they told me it was due to a collection from my previous account that was closed out in XX/XX/2022 ( almost XXXX years ago ). Now I have single idea of any account closed out in XXXX, no statement was sent to me, no mail, email, text message, calls was provided to me about such transaction or close out and now waking up to a debit of XXXX from them without any prior notice? I have asked them to send me receipts, evidence of the transaction, of the notice they sent to me which they never provided and i am seriously livid. Bank of America can not go around deducting cash from customer account whenever they choosing without any notice, arrangement or explanation.
