Consumer Complaint: AMEX failed to protect me with my dispute as a consumer who did not receive their goods they have ordered! I ordered a tablet in XXXX from XXXX, and after a long wait, they shipped it out in XXXX via XXXX. However, XXXX lost/ stole the item fraudulently stating it has been delivered on XX/XX/22 on the evening of XX/XX/22. There was no signature obtained, even though there was signature required! I asked XXXX for help, but they refused to give me a refund, even though they admitted on XX/XX/22 that it was probably lost. Finally, a Tier XXXX customer service representative promised me a refund, but then they GHOSTED me! Therefore, I filed a chargeback via AMEX. However, AMEX denied my claim because XXXX sent in a form with screenshots of the XX/XX/XXXXpage that said the item was delivered. Also, they said they credited me {XX/XX/XXXX.... But what about the other {XX/XX/XXXX?! XX/XX/XXXX is NOT the entire cost of the tablet. And what about my multiple screenshots with proof that the dates are really sketchy and faulty... And what about my police report? And proof that customer service said they would refund me? And then ghosted me? Do any of these mean nothing to you, AMEX? Do you even read my claims and evidence? I am so disappointed. As an AMEX card holder, I expected better customer service and protection, and more thorough investigations. If this does not get resolved by AMEX, I will have to cancel my card and be a loyal cardholder with XXXX.

Issue: Problem with a purchase shown on your statement
Subissue: Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Consumer Complaint: on XX/XX/XXXX We were attempting to book emergency flights under duress to attend a funeral for a family member. Due to the costs of las minute flights, we went from our normal XXXX flights to look for XXXX flights. We unwittingly clicked a link for XXXX and ended up booking flights we absolutely did not want and did not meet the search criteria submitted to their booking service. Within seconds of completing the checkout, we saw the flights were wrong and took immediate action to stop the process. We contacted American express to stop the payment. They told us there was nothing they could do until the purchase posted to our account. At the same time we tried to contact XXXX in the most direct way possible, but the only have a webform to fill out no phone # and no email address. We filed the web form and received an email stating a consultant would contact us as soon as possible. The email address was a no reply email. We filed the web form a couple more times and were able to file a cancel booking form after XXXX actually booked the flights, several hours after initial contact and booking. ( They had several hours to communicate with us before they booked the flights ) We contacted American express after the transaction posted to our account. They told us to work it out with XXXX. To this date XX/XX/XXXX XXXX has not contacted us in any form. We attempted to cancel the bookings ourselves as all major airlines have a XXXX hour cancellation notice. We were told the booking agent alone could cancel the flights. The booking agent does not respond to any contact. We never used the flights. We have been disputing this with American express for 3 months. Have submitted all details to them. Their investigation team reached out to us, but did not return our call. They continually gave us false hope that the would find in our favor if we just kept reopening the complaint. XXXX is based in XXXX. Stopping this transaction should have been easy for American express to do. XXXX has multiple complaints against them. They do not appear to be a legitimate business. American express should have protected us from this situation.
