Consumer Complaint: I was charged to separate transactions on an American Express card of mine that totaled over {$30000.00}. Upon calling AmericanExpress, they agreed that these were not my spending habits and not to worry about it. Originally they removed the charges. Several weeks later I received a call from someone that worked for American Express. He stated that they have evidence linking the charges to me ( even though I could not imagine how that was possible ) I suffer from severe anxiety and when the man from American Express told me that if I did not retract my statements stating this was fraud then he would be reaching out to the FBI and I would be imprisoned for a long time. At the time I panicked and said okay fine just say they weren't fraud. He stated " I can't do that, you have to call the number on the back of your card and say it was not fraud. I did that. After a couple hours I thought something didn't make sense, when I called American Express they said they would never do that. A week later I called again and they said they can't help me. I requested all " proof '' they have of me spending this money, over a 6 month time period they continued to tell me that the proof was in the mail. It never arrived. I was put in a horrible position and suffered from this. I am not someone that won't pay my debts, I am not a criminal, I am not a crook, if I charged something I will pay it. But someone needs to investigate this, it is not fair. Please Help. Just ask for this " proof '' they claim to have.

Consumer Complaint: Agreed to a 12 month settlement agreement with American Express. The offer was to settle for {$1000.00}, spread out over 12 months, for payments of {$87.00} per month. The settlement was set up as automatic payments through my debit card. After my 10th payment, my debit card was scammed and I had to get a new debit card, with new card number from my bank. Immediately after receiving my new card, I called American Express and explained that I needed to change my card number on file, so that my last 2 payments could be charged without any issues, kickbacks or delays. I was told that the way it would be handled was the original settlement agreement would be closed, and a " new '' settlement agreement was set up with my new card number, for the last 2 payments. The final payment was made to my card in XX/XX/2021. It has been 2 months and there is still a balance of {$1200.00} showing up on my credit reports. I have tried to dispute this several times, and the dispute comes back as " verified as correct ''. I then tried to call American Express to ask what was going on and was told that I still have a balance because I did not make the payments on time per the settlement agreement. How did I not make the payments on time if they were automatically charged to my debit card by American Express? The response was that the last 2 payments were not made. I explained the situation with my debit card, and was still told that the year 's worth of payments that I made did not count towards my settlement agreement and therefore I still owe the remaining balance, and that's why it shows up on my credit report. When I click the email links to view the full terms of the settlement agreement, I get an error message that says " this page is not available '' so I can not even prove to them that they are violating my settlement agreement. I made all 12 payments, as agreed, and they are fraudulently breaching the settlement agreement and reporting an untrue balance. This needs to be updated immediately or I would like a refund of all payments made.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2022. I ordered a Pre Paid American Express XXXX. I received my card via mail on XX/XX/2022. I called the number given on the back of the card # XXXX. I was able to successfully " activate '' the card, however when I go to login to their website to check my account, their website gives me an " error '' message saying to " try back later '' this has been happening every single day since I activated the card. Also, the same thing is happening with their XXXX XXXX phone app. I try and use the " forgot my username '' and or " forgot my password '' functionality and neither works either. I have already submitted a request to my employer ( direct deposit ) previous to me knowing I was going to have these issues. I tried calling the " customer service phone number '' on the back of the card to report the problem however it ONLY gives me the option to " activate '' the card, it does NOT allow me to select an option to speak with an actual representative. I also did some further research online to see if anyone else was having this issue. There are multiple complaints regarding multiple issues with the American Express Blue Bird Card on XXXX, XXXX, XXXX. Please advise? Respectfully,

Consumer Complaint: AMEX YOU ARE BREAKING THE LAW!!! I have reason to believe and do so believe that this company is blatantly DISCRIMINATING against me. I have applied for multiple cards on multiple occasions and this bank holding company continuously deny me my right to credit. Per the equal credit opportunity act 15 usc 1691 it is unlawful for any one to discriminate because I have in good faith exercised my right under that section. I am a very frustrated consumer because this company has made it hard for me to extend credit to others. I dont care to continue to use cards from multiple institutions, I rather have all my cards from one bank for the sake of simplicity. Your constant denials is causing me to continue to lose confidence in the banking system and is making me not want to extend credit to any banks and making me not want to continue to allow any banks to profit off of my securities. It is essential that I receive the cards to continue to help money move around. It is unfair that i am being denied when bank literally are dependent on me as a consumer to keep money and credits flowing. Im demanding the cards be issued to me. Im fully aware that pursuant to 15 usc 1681m being denied is considered an ADVERSE ACTION against me per federal law you all can be held civilly liable for doing such and not following the laws. I am in fact an administrator per federal law 15 usc 1692c ( d ) and im aware I have and open end consumer credit plan. So as a consumer and customer i am demanding these cards.

Consumer Complaint: I disputed a charge from XX/XX/21 from XXXX on this card. This company and its associated airline are a fraud and American Express is enabling them : They changed my flight time to 12 hours later and then changed it to 24 hours later the next day. I tried several times to call the airline customer support to get a refund before the day of flight and they either never answered the phone or pretended not to hear me and hung up. XXXX was the same. Neither had an email address, just phone # s. I then went to the airport and I was told the flight was cancelled ( confirmed by the attached email I received ) but they could not refund my ticket and I would have to call the non-functional customer service! This is a scam. In XXXX XXXX 's terms it states I can get a refund for cancellations clearly. I had to take a more expensive flight the same day because it was impossible dealing with these two companies. It's really shocking how poorly American Express treats members of its most expensive platinum card. I will be cancelling this if the situation is not corrected.

Consumer Complaint: I had a credit card with American Express account ending in XXXX and they sent me a letter around XX/XX/2021 and it was a letter about pay over time option but gave me the option to opt out. I called and opted out first thing and they assured me I would never be charged interest. Unfortunately, they did start charging me interest and for the most part they reimbursed most of it. But there were four charges of interest that they never reimbursed me for. I should have never been charged interest and they should have made the adjustments all of them but they have refused repeatedly. I even have printed out a chat that they blatantly say that because I was late on my last bill they will not adjust the account. I explained that the late fee of {$170.00} was to cover it being late and has nothing to do with the interest charges since I opted out that should be considered fraudulent charges in my opinion. The dates and amounts of charges are as follows : XX/XX/2021 XXXX, XX/XX/2021 XXXX, XX/XX/2021 XXXX and XX/XX/2021 for XXXX this totals {$280.00}. Please help me get the adjustments made to my account so they can send me a check.

Consumer Complaint: Im so embarrassed and apologetic for my recent behavior with one of the customer service representatives at American Express. I am suffering from severe XX/XX/XXXX and XXXX brought on by the pandemic. Im in the corporate events space and was let go two years ago and unable to find work in my career due to no one attending conferences. My wife was recently diagnosed with an XX/XX/XXXX called XXXX XXXX which is preventing us from having a XXXX child, XXXX dropped my home due to a puff back claim from soot damage caused by a fireplace in the home, my mom is in severe pain suffering from XXXX XX/XX/XXXX, has never met her grandson, wasnt at my wedding and XX/XX/XXXX because of the pain and emotional suffering. Im trying to manage the soot clean up and find an insurer to replace XXXX as Im being dropped do to claims history. XX/XX/XXXX XXXX, XXXX, The car dealerships, sons school and camp, every home service provider, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, the XX/XX/XXXX storing my sons blood, pharmacy all have my American Express card for billing purposes and everything is set up through auto pay. I have never missed a payment and never had an issue with American Express over the past 25 years. Im so apologetic that nothing like what occurred will EVER occur again. Since my card was cut off my life is spiraling out of control, and I want to regain control. Im begging you for forgiveness and mercy. No situation or circumstance should have brought about my language, and it will NEVER happen again. Im begging to PLEASE be reinstated as a customer. I would like to move my rewards points over to one of your hotel partners as well. My wife, who is a newly minted physician at New York XXXX XXXX XXXX, was unable to pay to automated parking garage fee last night with the AmEx card I provided her. I was unable to purchase XX/XX/XXXX with my card last night prompting me to call only to find out that I was cancelled as a customer after a loyal 25 plus years. We have no other credit cards as my entire life was set up with AmeEx through automated bill payments. My XXXX XXXX XXXX has a tuition payment due, a camp payment due, HVAC work that needs to be paid off. Im begging to please be reinstated. Consumer Complaint: I purchased a flight to XXXX from XXXX in XXXX but due to covid had to cancel early XXXX. I am pregnant, my doctor advised me that travel was very unsafe for me. We also had record breaking covid cases and hospitalizations. As a result, I asked the airline to cancel on XX/XX/XXXX via email. XXXX refused to cancel/give a refund, so I instead contacted my credit card company American Express on XXXX and filed a dispute. American Express has refused my refund as of XX/XX/XXXX. I resubmitted the dispute and was still denied. I did not receive the service, I could not receive the service due to the orders of my doctor and they are not refunding me for my flight. I have also reported XXXX to the Department of Travel but I am looking to report American Express for not refunding my ticket on their end.
