Consumer Complaint: Missing " XXXX XXXX XXXX '' : Per the terms and conditions of the XXXX XXXX XXXX American Express Card : https : //www.americanexpress.com/us/credit-cards/card-application/apply/prospect/terms/marriott-bonvoy-brilliant-card/25330-10-0 # offer-terms XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX The XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX will be credited to your XXXX XXXX Member Account within 60 days upon opening your Card Account. On or before XX/XX/XXXX of each subsequent calendar year, the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX will be credited to your XXXX XXXX Member Account operated by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, in accordance with XXXX XXXX terms and conditions, as long as your Card Account is open as of XX/XX/XXXX of the prior calendar year. My issue is with the verbiage : The XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX will be credited to your XXXX XXXX Member Account within 60 days upon opening your Card Account. I opened the credit card account on XX/XX/XXXX and expected to receive XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX within 60 days. On XX/XX/XXXX, I reached out to American Express Customer Service ( AMEX ) to follow up as the credits were not received. The representative assured me that the credits would become available and they would count towards XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, I reached out to AMEX to follow up on the XXXX credits and was told the credits would arrive by XX/XX/XXXX. Customer Service also stated that they would open an investigation. On XX/XX/XXXX, I called XXXX customer service but was told my issue was credit card related and only AMEX would be able to assist. Reached out to AMEX again and was told their investigation returned no defects. AMEX stated that they would re-open the investigation and that it would take up to 2-3 billing cycles for results. Also went over the Terms and Condition verbiage with the customer service representative to make sure my interpretation was correct that I should have received 15 night credits for XXXX. Confirmed my XXXX Account Number with the AMEX representative. On XX/XX/XXXX, reached out to AMEX and was told the investigation was still pending and it would take an additional 2-3 business days. On XX/XX/XXXX, reached out to AMEX and was told the 15 night credits would arrive in XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, reached out to AMEX and was told the 15 night credits were applied to my XXXX account but in fact it was not. Tried reaching out to XXXX customer service again but was rebuff.

Consumer Complaint: I applied for the American Express Blue Cash Everyday Credit Card after doing extensive research on the balance transfer options both on XXXX and by reading the terms and conditions and card holder agreements on the American Express website ( https : XXXX ). All websites stated that there was a 3 % fee for all balance transfers from non American Express or affiliated institutions within the first 60 days of opening the account. It was not until after I was approved and accepted the agreement that I was then notified that the American Express Blue Cash Everyday Credit Card does not offer a balance transfer amount higher than {$5000.00} despite the credit limit offered being substantially higher. I feel the practice of not disclosing the balance transfer limit regardless of available credit is deceiving. I have called the institution to discuss my concern and was informed that this card does not offer a higher balance transfer option and that it was supposedly disclosed within the terms and conditions on the website. I once again reviewed all documentation and there is no discussion or mention of this limit. This would have impacted my decision in selecting American Express and I would have gone with another card option with a higher balance transfer limit. I am now put into a position where I am not able to transfer the balance initially intended and in order to seek out another card option I will either have to replace the American Express card or supplement the balance transfer which would require a second hard inquiry on my credit score bringing my overall credit rating down, effecting my creditworthiness for an unspecified amount of time.

Consumer Complaint: In accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting, everything has to be 100 % accurate on my credit report. The Credit bureaus stated my account was properly investigation but how is that possible if the open date is inaccurate, the date last active is inaccurate, and date last reported is not accurate. This ground for removal. They also violated the law because according to : 15 U.S.C 1681 section 602 A States I have the right to privacy. 15 U.S.C. 1681 Section 604 A Section 2. It also states a consumer reporting agency can not furnish a account without my written instructions. The credit bureaus never did a proper investigation according to the FCRA. Listed accounts : The term investigative consumer report means a consumer report or portion thereof in which information on a consumers character, general reputation, personal characteristics, or mode of living is obtained through personal interviews with neighbors, friends, or acquainted or who may have knowledge concerning any such items of information. They did not do this!! Also, they have violated my rights even more. In accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting everything has to be 100 % accurate on my credit report. The credit bureaus stated my account was properly investigated but how is that? If the open date inaccurate, the date last activity is inaccurate, amount inaccurate, and date last reported inaccurate. This is a violation and grounds for immediate removal.

Consumer Complaint: Hi, I had a Amex XXXX credit card and I requested to close the account earlier this year. At the time of closing, I had about XXXX point in Amex. During the call with customer support, I was explicitly told that I will have one month to redeem the points once I go ahead with closing my account. I explicitly confirmed twice if I have 1 month to redeem and it was confirmed by the support agent. However, once the account was closed, I lost all my points. I raised complaint twice. But it didnt help. Approximate flow of conversations during the call with support agent ( You may confirm with Amex 's call logs ) Me : I would like to close my account. How long do I have to redeem the points Amex : A month from date of closing Me : Okay, lets proceed Amex : Explained some terms and conditions and then asked to confirm if I would like to close the account. Me : Are you sure that I have month to redeem the points? Amex : Yes, thats right. Shall I proceed with account closure? Me : Yes The above conversation can be verified from your call logs. On raising the complaints twice, the first I was told that they reinstate the points but they didnt. Second time, they flatly declined saying nothing can be done inspite of telling them to review their own logs. I feel it is unfair to lose my points especially because of wrong information given to me.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX I requested to redeem all my rewards through the app. XX/XX/XXXX I called to close the account and tried to reach a real person but only reached robots and the robots closed the account before routing me to talk to customer service as requested, because I had mentioned close account as the topic. Now the company says they never received my redemption request and is saying all my reward dollars are forfeited.

Issue: Unauthorized transactions or other transaction problem
Subissue:
Consumer Complaint: Good Evening, I am reaching out about a situation that has yet to be solved between XXXXAmerican Express . The situation first began with AMEX. I thought transactions on my XXXX were fraudulent with my AMEX XXXX card, so I called to get the transactions disputed. After realizing days later that the transactions were in fact mine, I immediately called back AMEX and told them that the transactions were indeed mine. Right away, they charged the transactions back to my AMEX XXXX card and told me that I had to pay the amount. I also asked AMEX if the transactions would also be cleared up with XXXX and they told me yes. These transactions occurred in XXXX. Staying on this, I called XXXX, who told me that the transactions were still under review and that if they were disputed with my bank, AMEX would have to call and speak to them themselves. When I called AMEX asking if they can speak with XXXX to clear up this confusion, they told me to wait up to 45 days and the transactions should be cleared. It is now XX/XX/XXXX and THE TRANSACTIONS ARE STILL NOT CLEARED UP! Yet, AMEX has charged me for these amounts and has paid off the transactions. This issue is also hindering the users ' accounts on XXXX because they were flagged as fraud and XXXX has yet to reimburse them the money! When I called XXXX again, they told me that AMEX had to call them. Tired of waiting, I called AMEX three-way and was told that I had to get off the phone because I was not a merchant account holder. Agreeing as long as the task was going to be completed, I got off the phone. The representative from XXXX informed me that he could not get ANY clear answers from AMEX customer service. WITH THIS BEING SAID, THIS MATTER HAS STILL NOT BEEN SOLVED. PLEASE CLOSE THESE DISPUTES SO THESE PEOPLE 'S ACCOUNTS CAN BE USED AGAIN AND SO THEY CAN GET THEIR MONEY BACK! ESPECIALLY IF I HAVE ALREADY BEEN CHARGED FOR IT!

Issue: Problem with a purchase shown on your statement
Subissue: Card was charged for something you did not purchase with the card
Consumer Complaint: I had XXXX XXXX dollars charged to my American Express card by an ex employee for their personal benefit. Those charges were not authorized by me and though I had a relationship with the vendor the vendor was also not authorized to charge my account for the ex employee. I brought it to AMEX 's attention 3 months ago and they quickly agreed it was fraud and credited my account back the XXXX. Fast forward to yesterday I get a call at night telling me that the charges are not fraud and that I am responsible and I should take it up with the vendor. I am a 15 year card member who uses Amex because I thought they provided some protection. I have never made a claim during this time. Bottom line I was stolen from, we had to fire the employee, and now because the perpetrator worked for me it is not not considered fraud. I asked to speak with a manager and was denied the request, then I asked to speak with a divisional manager and was told by the employee XXXX that she could make no promises. This company has been charging me over {$1000.00} a year in annual fees on my 4 cards going back well over 10 years to just leave me high and dry the first time I have asked for protection against fraudulent charges.
