Consumer Complaint: American Express is offering a Welcome Bonus of XXXX points on their Hilton Surpass Card. However, after filling up an application and hitting the submit button, I received a popup message mentioning that I am ineligible to this Welcome Offer. Also, it asked me if I need to complete with my application and of course I denied that. I've been an AMEX member since a very long time. I currently have XXXX active cards with them and was previously having another XXXX. I am not sure why they made my ineligible for this Welcome Bonus Offer. Looking forward to an explanation from AMEX.

Consumer Complaint: THIS IS A FOLLOW UP ON CLOSED CASE # XXXX I AM OUTRAGED AND DEMANDING A REINVESTIGATION. American Express placed an invalid, unverified, fraudulent and illegal inquiry into my credit report without me authorizing their organization to view my credit history. This is a violation of Federal Law. American Express is knowingly reporting false information to XXXX and XXXX. This inquiry is NOT MINE, nor was it authorized by me, and American Express has failed to verify it. Their actions constitute fraud under both Federal and State Laws : -Violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act -Defamation of Character I am disputing this inquiry, through both the CFPB and the NJ Attorney Generals Office. I've asked for verification. They failed to supply verification. This inquiry is negatively affecting my credit report and score due to this company 's false reporting. I contacted American Express and they have NO proof I initiated such an inquiry, nor written authorization. They have FAILED TO PROVIDE ANY PERMISSIBLE PURPOSE. what American Express submitted do not constitute verification under the federal law or FCRA.

Consumer Complaint: Amex complaint XXXX ID # XXXX is the culmination of several weeks of website inadequacies. The first and most salient deficiency is Amexs online failure to populate my credit card activity. Each charge is obscured by a red error message. Please see two attachments as follows : XX/XX/XXXX screenshot which is embedded in my email to Amex to alert Amex to the error code. Todays screenshot to show the problem persists. How can a consumer verify if his charges are accurate or fraudulent if the activity does not even populate? Second, I see an AMEX website that needs overhaul. For example, instead of loading the advertisements, offers, and inducements, I simply want a clean page of card activity. Third, specifically, online I need the new outstanding total next to each charge. To clarify this ongoing request, I am attaching a third document ( i.e., example for Amex rolling summary for each charge ) from a different financial institution. Please note how the XX/XX/XXXX charge for XXXX at the top increased the total balance from XXXX to XXXX. I am disappointed that such user-friendly running tabulation is not standard protocol across all credit card websites nationally. I endorse it and request the change to occur with immediate effect.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX American Express Company American Express XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, New York United States XXXX Date : XX/XX/XXXX Dear American Express This letter is being sent to formally request a refund and or credit to my American Express Credit Card account ending in XXXX in the amount of {$2500.00}. These monies were paid in full for a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX bed purchased through XXXX XXXX, located at XXXX XXXX, XXXX, New York XXXX XXXX with a telephone number of ( XXXX ) XXXX. The furniture mentioned above was paid in full on XX/XX/XXXX, with the credit card held in my possession at that time ending in XXXX. Over the past year, there has been ongoing telephone communication with the merchant pertaining to delivery of the purchased bed. The merchant communicated that the bed was going to be delivered on or around XX/XX/XXXX. The bed was not delivered. The merchant then communicated that the bed was not in stock and would be delivered in or around XX/XX/XXXX. Again, the bed was not delivered. The merchant then communicated that the bed would be delivered in XXXX of XXXX. The bed was not delivered. After this, the merchant then communicated that the bed would be delivered in XXXX of XXXX. Again, the bed was not delivered. Lastly, the merchant informed that the bed would be delivered XX/XX/XXXX. The bed has still not been delivered. You, American Express has opened and overseen multiple disputes pertaining to the above-mentioned merchant and the refund amount of {$2500.00}. Most recently the dispute was reopened on XX/XX/XXXX, only to be closed shortly thereafter on XX/XX/XXXX. During telephone communication with an American Express Card representative held on XX/XX/XXXX. I was informed that the merchant was reached out to via email correspondence requesting the refunds. When I asked the American Express Card representative to provide the email correspondence sent to the merchant between XX/XX/XXXX, and when the dispute closed on XX/XX/XXXX. The email correspondence could not be provided. Therefore, it appears that the dispute was closed without due diligence to ensure that the refund amount was indeed received from the merchant. These charges are now being reflected on my credit card as an amount that I am responsible for paying. It is important to add that as an active-duty uniform service officer serving this country dutifully. I do not shy away from and take my financial obligations very seriously. However, from the series of events that have taken place over the past year pertaining to the above-mentioned merchant. The amount of {$2500.00} should NOT be my financial obligation. Therefore, I am issuing this demand letter that the amount of {$2500.00} be credited to my account by XX/XX/XXXX, or a court filing WILL be filed against you. In addition to the refund amount, a request for reimbursement of filing fees, attorneys fees, and any other costs associated with obtaining the refund amount may be pursued. Sincerely, XXXX XXXX XXXX
