Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023 American Express sent me a email saying that they have lowered my credit limit from XXXX to XXXX. I contacted them the same day saying the reason they have lowered my credit limit is discrimination which goes against the equal credit opportunity act. i then called them and said the same thing and they ignored this on and said there was nothing they could do until your credit score gets better.

Consumer Complaint: Security measures on this American Express gift card render it unusable online and in person. I have tried multiple stores and each attempted use creates a XXXX cent pending transaction that does not roll off until after 7 days, which decreases the balance of the card. I've called customer service they assure me that they are protecting my money, and that I should try another retailer online. I have and the same thing happens. I can not use this gift card and would like this amount rendered in a form that I can use.

At the time of application for said credit, I submitted a financial asset which I have received NO benefit from. The application that I submitted online is a promissory note that, based on the securities act of 1933 is being transferred for interest. According to Sec 16 of the Federal Reserve Act, my promissory note is an instrument that is acceptable collateral for this exchange because it is a tender payment. Pursuant to 17 CFR 240.10b-5, you assume civil liability for the sale of my securities.

However, it gets declined everywhere no matter how much I try to spend. American Express said there is no hold on the card. Consumer Complaint: I was gifted an American Express gift card by my boyfriend 's family on XX/XX/XXXX. Despite trying several retailers, only one has been able to accept the gift card. The one place where the gift card could be used - XXXX, I was also eventually unable to use it there too. I've tried XXXX, XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX, all which said my card was declined- to which I didn't have insufficient funds. I contacted customer service, who told me to contact XXXX. I contacted XXXX and XXXX said that the issue was with the AMEX gift card. I called American Express customer service back and they said that the reason it wasn't being accepted was because there was no way to connect an address to a gift card- which frankly, i know is bull XXXX, VISA giftcards are accepted everywhere despite not having an address attached. I'm completely unable to use this gift card for anything and I feel like this is some kind of fraud- why advertise that this money can be spent everywhere when not even XXXX ( the world 's biggest retailer ) can't accept it. I feel like my boyfriend 's family has been cheated out of their money because their gift to me is useless.

Consumer Complaint: I have tried to use this card numerous times and most recently at XXXX and XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. It was declined for purchases under {$80.00}, but I still have {$110.00} on it. These transactions should have gone through. At this point I would just like a check for the amount of the remaining balance since this card seems to get declined everywhere now. They never have an actual human help over the phone for customer service. Its just automation and holding for no one to ever pick up.
