Consumer Complaint: I have a XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX credit card with American Express ( AMEX ). My XXXX XXXX credit card provides a bonus of XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX 's ) to be transferred to XXXX XXXX after the consumer has spent {$30000.00}. XXXX tracks all of this information and shows it on a grid within their app, so that the consumer can see what they need to reach their next XXXX status. At the beginning of XXXX I realized that my card spend on the app was being reported at {$34000.00} and this should have triggered my bonus XXXX 's to be transferred to XXXX XXXX. XXXX I called American Express to confirm that this information was accurate, because I didn't believe it was. The customer service agent I spoke with informed me that it was and I would be receiving my bonus XXXX 's, which I needed to push me to the next XXXX status. I asked the agent to please confirm with someone, because again I questioned it. He did and then responded that he was correct. I asked him to document this on my account, which he did. ( I have asked for a copy of the note to be emailed to me and this was denied ) XXXX I noticed my XXXX XXXX were not transferred to my XXXX account, and I called AMEX Customer Service XXXX Again I was told that I met my spending limit, but it could take up to 8-10 weeks for the transfer, and that it would be dated back to when I met my spend limit. XX/XX/XXXX - I called again to AMEX Customer Service and spoke with a Supervisor - He read the notes on my account and stated that I was misinformed. The spend limit is only for my XXXX XXXX card. I explained that if I had been given the correct information, I could have met that spend limit. Instead I had transferred some expenses to a different card for points. He understood and acknowledged that this was an error on AMEX 's side and that I was misinformed. He was escalating my case to a unit that deals with issues between AMEX and XXXX. XX/XX/XXXX - I followed up with AMEX and again spoke to a supervisor who told me that this unit denied my case. I explained why I was quite upset. I asked if I could speak with them directly and I was told no. She informed me that I was on a recorded line and that she would ask them to listen to the recording. It is documented in the notes on XX/XX/XXXX that I was told I had met my spend limit and would receive my bonus XXXX 's to be transferred to XXXX XXXX. American Express acknowledges this, but is not willing to correct their error and make me whole. AMEX has not reached out to me once either via email or phone to discuss this case. If I didn't keep calling back, I would have never known my case was denied. I believe this is because they know this is their error and are hoping I'll just go away. I consider myself a very fair person, and if this was my mistake I would own it, but its not. This mistake by AMEX cost me my next level of XXXX XXXX status, and they need to own their error and transfer my XXXX XXXX 's dated back to the end of XXXX. I am so disappointed that a company with their reputation would treat myself or anyone else with such disrespect.

States I have the right to privacy. 15 U.S.C 1681 Section 604 A Section 2 : It also states a consumer reporting agency can not furnish a account without my written instructions 15 U.S.C 1681c. a 5 Section States : no consumer reporting agency may make any consumer report containing any of the following items of information. Consumer Complaint: Hi, need help please and thank you for what you do! American Express charged me a late fee and triggered penalty APR on a Sunday, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX. Previously, Amex sent me a bunch of emails, statement notices, etc on the offer for Plan it, so I took advantage of their Plan it promotions for like 4 %. But, Ouch! On that Sunday, APR went to 21 %, with notice of pending 29 % penalty rate on the $ XXXX Plan It balance I owed. I saw the late fee when i paid my bill on Monday, XX/XX/XXXX, but didnt connect at the time the penalty APR. It was buried in my monthly statement received weeks later. So, please first ... is Sunday a biz day per Reg Z for credit card companies? Amex told me they were open and too bad so sad on the penalty APR. Why wouldn't credit cards be like my mortgage if due date lands on a Sunday or non biz day it rolls to next biz day? Credit cards cant receive my written correspondence from XXXX mail on a Sunday, so how can it count as a biz day? Second one please .... whats the scoop on Amex needing to tell me penalty APR triggered? I barely saw it because of the interest charge and it was weeks later when i went to pay again. i get many Amex promotional emails but no email on this event. Just all feels bait and switch, gotcha predatory garbage. Glad you exist, thank you. Holler if you need me, XXXX XXXX

XXXX indicated they refunded money to gift card on XX/XX/XXXX. AMEX customer service indicates money has not been refunded by XXXX. Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/2022, I applied for the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX from American Express website with the welcome bonus ( XXXX points ) they offer, during this process everything goes well and they do not give me any words/notifications that I am not eligible for this offer. But after I spent more than XXXX dollars for the spending requirement and pay in full price for the annual fee ( XXXX dollars ), I still did not receive any welcome bonus in XX/XX/2022, so in XXXX I politely contact American Express and they inform me that I can not receive the welcome bonus because I have another card from XXXX, but in reality I do not have any related credit cards from XXXX, this reason is not acceptable. I feel cheated and canceled the card and want to ask back for the annual fee but they refused to reimbursed my money back. I can not accept it because they can not give me an acceptable reason to decline my welcome bonus as well as to refuse giving me back my paid annual fee. If they do not want to offer me this welcome bonus, they should inform/warn me at the beginning when I applied for this credit card, instead of letting me know until I finished all the spending requirement and pay the annual fee. The credit card number for the card I am applying for is XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: ( 1 ) On or about XX/XX/XXXX, my High Yield Savings Account with XXXX XXXX was frozen ( 2 ) There was no court order to freeze the account. ( 3 ) On XX/XX/XXXX I called XXXX XXXX to inquire about why the account was locked. ( 4 ) I was not given information but told I needed to speak with the fraud department. ( 5 ) I spoke with XXXX who reset my login information. ( 6 ) She then told me that I would not be permitted to make any transactions at this time. ( 7 ). I inquired why that was and she informed me there was a review on the account. ( 8 ) On XX/XX/XXXX, I spoke with XXXX. ( 9 ) XXXX XXXX, the account would be on hold until issues were resolved with the external bank. ( 10 ) I asked XXXX if there was a contact at XXXX XXXX. ( 11 ) She told me XXXX XXXX who is the Bank XXXX. ( 12 ) XXXX XXXX was contacted from my mother ( the account in question is joint ) ( 13 ) XXXX XXXX denied any involvement stating XXXX XXXX " took no position. '' ( 14 ) On XX/XX/XXXX I called yet again and spoke with XXXX. ( 15 ) I requested a copy of the recorded telephone conversations. ( 16 ) XXXX told me " you have an attorney. '' ( 17 ) @ XX/XX/XXXX I called with an attorney and spoke with XXXX. ( 18 ) XXXX was going to elevate to a higher level and " open an investigation on the investigation. '' ( 19 ) The funds remain inaccessible. ( 20 ) American Express was not performing a background review. ( 21 XXXX XXXX order to freeze funds ( that were already frozen ) on XX/XX/XXXX. ( 22 ) On XX/XX/XXXX, there is a court order from the XXXX XXXX of XXXX XXXX. ( 23 ) The order states " Ordered that the terms of the XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX, dated XX/XX/XXXX, are hereby affirmed. ( 24 ) American Express is aware of the order to release funds. ( 25 ) American Express has refused to release the funds. ( 26 ) American Express wr ongfully froze my savings account from XX/XX/XXXX, thereby causing financial damage. ( 27 ) American Express continues to deny me access to the funds. ( 28 ) American Express will not release the funds unless I sign an agreement and release including a covenant not to sue. ( 29 ) For almost XXXX years, I have been unable to access my funds. Consumer Complaint: This email is in regards an American Express offer of XXXX Hilton Honors XXXX XXXX after spending {$2000.00}. The offer is below. I was approved by American Express for this credit card and spent {$2500.00} in XXXX XXXX I opened a case with American Express which was a deceptive ad in violation of federal laws prohibiting deceptive practices. My American Express case number is XXXX card number XXXX. After I called as to when the XXXX Hilton points would be added to my account. I was told that I would not be able get those points after I met the qualifications and was led to believe I would get the points. It was a deceptive offer that AE has pulled before from the articles seen below. This was a deceptive offer to get me to spend {$2500.00} and then declined for the points. This violates federal laws prohibiting deceptive practices. I would not expect this from a corporation like American Express and feel taken advantage of and ripped off. Why is American Express deceiving consumers with offers they will not honor? This are some of the violations that American Express has been found guilty of and my issue is among these violations. CFPB Orders American Express to Pay {$85.00} XXXX Refund to Consumers Harmed by XXXX Credit Card Practices Deceived consumers who signed up for the American Express credit card program : Consumers were sometimes led to believe they would receive {$300.00} in addition to bonus points if they signed up for this American Express XXXX XXXX program. But consumers who met the qualifications did not receive the {$300.00}. This violates federal laws prohibiting deceptive practices. Consumer Complaint: I am a victim of identity theft and I write to dispute certain accounts in my file resulting from the crime. The account I am disputing do not relate to any transactions obtaining any possession of goods, services or money that I have made or authorized. Please block the reporting of any information in my credit file that resulted from an alleged identity theft. I found that under section 605b ( a ) XXXX shall block the reporting of any information in the file of a consumer that the consumer identifies as information that resulted from an alleged identity theft, not later than 4 business days after the date of receipt and it requires the following documents and statement to remove the disputed account on my file : ( 1 ) Appropriate proof of the identity of the consumer ; ( 2 ) A copy of an identity theft report ; ( 3 ) The identification of such information by the consumer ; and ( 4 ) A statement by the consumer that the information is not information relating to any transaction by the consumer. The dispute item do not belong to me. Consumer Complaint: When placing a order then canceling it the credit card company subtract the amount from you available credit, so it sits in pending for four to five business days then finally it just disappears. The vendor never took anything out because the order was canceled but the credit card company did subtract the amount and never puts it back into your available credit and they dont show any type of transaction on it whats so ever it just disappears ( your money ). I keep very up to date spending I make on the card written down and the amount that was pending never get added back, with absolutely no record on there end. Ive argued with them over this with numerous service representatives and no one is able to help me. There should be some type of record where the amount was put back in and they agree with me yes there should be but there isnt. There no way of tracking it other than your own records with is only good for me, they should have it in black an white. To me for a XXXX XXXX company not to show something that simple and save from argument over the phone time and time agian is crazy, I think they do know what they are doing, that is why they dont show any detail records.I had three different pending charges in XXXX between XXXX with them all around XXXX. Two was for tiger rock industries and one was for XXXX.
