Consumer Complaint: I have an Amex card and it is showing that I overpaid by - {$4300.00} in my 2022 yearly summary. In each monthly statement, it also shows that I have nearly always made my payments. Yet, the payment shows I owe {$3900.00}. But I have a credit in my yearly summary for 2022. The credited amount was not applied to my payments and what I owe and I was never informed about it. When I asked customer service and talked to a manager, they insisted the balance is correct. Yet, they did not answer what can be done with a credited amount -where I overpaid. They said that the balance is right and that I still need to make my payment on XX/XX/XXXX. Even when I overpaid in 2022 over {$4000.00}! Amex has duplicitous practices. This should be unlawful - first making people overpay and not informing them about it and then still asking for more payments.

Consumer Complaint: Im honestly stumped. Regardless of how many times I claim to be the individual writing this letter it seems this message is truly missed. For the record, Im the one whos initiating these disputes under my name. This item is UNKNOWN to ME. I dont get why youre claiming this is fraudulent or of a high risk nature. The documents Ive provided are legit. These are mine, filed with the appropriate agencies & support my position. Lets get the record straight!!! First of all I know that under Section 619 Obtaining information under false pretenses that any person who knowingly and willfully obtains information on a consumer from a consumer reporting agency under false pretenses shall be fined under title 18 United States Code, imprisoned for not more than 2 years, or both. Most importantly, Ive never sent my documentation to anyone else which seems to be a claim that constitutes high-risk due to potential fraud. According to FCRA 611 ( a ) ( 3 ) Determination That Dispute IsFrivolous or irrelevant ( A ) a consumer reporting agency may terminate a reinvestigation of information disputed by a consumer under that paragraph if the agency reasonably determines that the dispute by the consumer is frivolous or irrelevant, including by reason of a failure by a consumer to provide sufficient information to investigate the disputed information. ( B ) Notice of determination. Upon making any determination in accordance with subparagraph ( A ) that a dispute is frivolous or irrelevant, a consumer reporting agency shall notify the consumer of such determination not later than 5 business days after making such determination, by mail or, if authorized by the consumer for that purpose, by any other means available to the agency. Again, under 617 Civil liability for negligent noncompliance [ 15U.S.C. 1681o ] a person who is negligent in failing to comply with any requirement imposed under this title with respect to any consumer is liable to that consumer in an amount equal to the sum of ( 1 ) any actual damages sustained by the consumer as a result of the failure; and ( 2 ) in the case of any successful action to enforce any liability under this section, the costs of the action together with reasonable attorneys fees as determined by the court. They closed my account without providing me with a legit reason. I would like my membership reward points back for my XXXX Credit Card ending in XXXX and XXXX XXXX ending in XXXX. Those points were completely earned by me and I currently have a platinum card open. I would like my points transferred to my platinum card ending in XXXX please so I can continue to earn rewards and enjoy the benefits of my reward cards. These cards are too expensive. I only got them due to their Amazing reward program. Rewards that has been completely robbed from me.

Consumer Complaint: This is for the American Express Platinum card. One of the benefits advertised is that you get a {$50.00} credit every 6 months for XXXX XXXX XXXX it has to be used by XX/XX/XXXX and the second by XX/XX/XXXX of the calendar year. I purchase something for {$64.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. On my statement it shows XX/XX/XXXX. On their app it shows as XX/XX/XXXX. I did not receive my credit. I chatted with customer service and they said that despite it showing XX/XX/XXXX on my end, on their end it shows as XX/XX/XXXX and therefor I dont get my credit. I said thats not what their advertising says. It says purchase made XXXX of the calendar year and it shows XX/XX/XXXX on my end. The rep said it didnt matter what I saw on my end. Their systems post differently and thats what it goes as. In some travel credit card forums, this has been coming up a lot. People who made year end purchases to get their credits/sign up bonuses/etc are being told they arent getting it because its posting in their systems are showing after the date they did the transaction and coincidentally on a date to which they lose out on some kind of reward, credit or bonus.

Consumer Complaint: I applied for a XXXX XXXX American Express XXXX. There was an introductory offer that if I spent at least {$1000.00} dollars I would receive XXXX XXXX XXXX points. I made a purchase of {$1800.00} and paid for this charge, therefore fulfilling my obligations to receive XXXX points with XXXX XXXX. However, I have been unable to access these rewards points to make a hotel reservation. On numerous occasions I have contacted American Express about this problem. They have indicated that, due to some unknown reason, there was no hilton honors account number associated with my american express card. They then gave me a temporary password jand account number and instructed me to log on with the provided account number and temporary password and then I would be able to access my account and my rewards points. However, each and every time I attempt to do this I recieve an error message and I am unable to complete the process.

Consumer Complaint: Hello, on XX/XX/2023, I received an email. The email stated I received a deposit of XXXX from XXXX XXXX XXXX. Transaction ID is XXXX. I also had XXXX so the total I had on there is XXXX Upon trying to get my funds from the card, I was told that my card had been blocked. I called XXXX multiple times, and they tried telling me. " The deposit didn't have my name on it. Which makes absolutely no sense at all. I don't know what to do. I read the reviews, and there are multiple emails stating they continue to do this. Another thing I do not understand is. My payroll checks get deposited all the time. I'm in tears trying to wrap my mind around them trying to steal my money.

Every time I escalated the phone call to a supervisor I was assured it would be closed within the next 30 days. There are numerous people out there who have the same problem because XXXX will not close their accounts.
