Consumer Complaint: Amercian Express authorized the withdraw of funds from my business checking account without my authorization. These funds, were withdraw from my account at XXXX bank, without my authorization and never apply to my AMEX credit card account. XXXX bank account number XXXX under name XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX I have an unauthorized withdraw from my company checking account for the amount of {$4000.00} Then on XX/XX/XXXX another unauthorized withdraw for the amount of {$1300.00} Then on XX/XX/XXXX another unauthorized withdraw for the amount of {$1000.00} Then on XX/XX/XXXX another unauthorized withdraw for the amount of {$1300.00} ( But ONLY this amount was returned on the following date, XX/XX/XXXX. Then on XX/XX/XXXX another unauthorized withdraw for the amount of {$2000.00} Then on XX/XX/XXXX another unauthorized withdraw for the amount of {$2000.00} I called XXXX bank many times, but they haven't been able to help me or return any of these funds!! The only funds that I received back was on XX/XX/XXXX for the amount of {$1300.00} All the other unauthorized withdrawals for the total amount of {$10000.00} are still out of my account. I need all these funds, to be returned into my account checking account at XXXX Bank

Consumer Complaint: I have been dealing unsuccessfully with the 3 major Credit Bureaus ... XXXX * XXXX * XXXX, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and XXXXXXXX XXXX for the past 2 months. I have provided the necessary information to have my accounts correctly updated, which was ONLY a name change. I have provided EVERYONE a copy of my Court Decree Name Change, my Marriage License, my new name change on my Social Security card and my new Driver 's License. I have provided this information FOUR times ... by phone, email, regular mail and Certified mail. ( I even drove 150 miles round trip to XXXXXXXX XXXX in XXXX, Alabama to HAND-DELIVER the information to complete my name change. ) The ONLY thing that I haven't done is to input this information CORRECTLY in my file myself... which I would be more than willing to do! ( At least I know that it would be done correctly ; good customer service is a thing of the past... today 's generation have no clue in regards to great work ethics and have become too lazy wanting to work remotely so they can get nothing accomplished but demand more pay for their incompetence. ) American Express did not have any problem correctly updating my account ... " Thank-You '' American Express ; you need to give lectures to your competitors on correct banking procedures. Unfortunately, I know first hand that it is an impossible task for company employee representatives, in today 's society, to do their job appropriately and timely. I have finally given up trying to communicate to these XXXX, XXXX XXXX that have no clue what great customer service is. My credit score has been between XXXX for the past 3 years ( See attached documents from my Chase Personal Online account provided by XXXX ) I have been desperately trying to get my name change resolved... AGAIN... if you check your records, you will see that ALL these accounts were originally opened under the name of XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX then I married an XXXX XXXX he passed away in XXXX ) ... in XXXX I changed my first name to XXXX and married a XXXX. How simple is THAT... I still have the SAME BIRTH DATE and dahhhhh... my SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER is still the SAME. How difficult is this to change on my credit reports???????????/ Yesterday I received an unexplained XXXX Score of XXXX from XXXX ( that was posted on my American Express website ) stating that my credit score had dropped XXXX points with NO EXPLANATION! XXXX!!! I have finally decided that I am sick and tired of all 3 credit bureaus blowing smoke up my XXXX and not doing their job. I am retaining a lawyer and filing suit against their grossly inaccurate credit reporting practices and failure to correctly investigate my disputes. My credit score has taken a nose dive for no explained or apparent reason other than the credit bureaus incompetency ... and I have had ENOUGH! See you in court!!!!!!!

Consumer Complaint: My Serve Prepaid Debit Account was permanently suspended on XX/XX/2023. I received an email stating that the activity on my account was in violation of the Consumer User Agreement, section : 15D. There was no detail provided on what the actual violation was and I believe this was done in error. After spending a total of 3 hours being on hold and transferred to multiple departments, I was finally able to speak to XXXX who is one of the Account Supervisors in the Fraud Account Protection team in XXXX XXXX XXXX, Utah. XXXX stated that he could not give me any details about my account and he could not give me a time frame of when I would receive my funds from the closed account. I was instructed by XXXX to write a letter to customer care. I have been a Serve American Express Cardholder for nearly 10 years and have never experienced such chaos and utter disregard. I have funds on this card and no one can provide me with a time frame as to when I should expect my funds from this closed account. I relied solely on this card and this extremely inconvenient.

Consumer Complaint: I filed a chargeback against XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX for misleading advertising. The apartment they provided was did not match what they advertised and was not habitable according to California tenant laws. When the company found out that I had filed the chargeback, they immediately sent the amount to collections, even as the chargeback was pending. This violated the Fair Credit Billing Act. I tried to explain to American Express that the company had violated my rights as a consumer filing a chargeback, yet Amex ignored these pleas and rejected the chargeback. Now I am facing a debt collection agency trying to collect the money from me and trash my credit while simultaneously having paid the full sum through my Amex card and not getting a refund from Amex. The problem was made even more weird by the fact that Amex approved one of the two chargebacks I made against this company for a smaller amount, for {$750.00}, that they charged separately, but not for this bigger transaction of {$7300.00}. Both were charged on XX/XX/2022.

Consumer Complaint: This card is eligible for a {$10.00} statement credit each calendar month when used to pay an eligible phone bill. I used this benefit without issue every month in XXXX and XXXX so far, and every single time the {$10.00} credit posted to my account within no more than 7 days. However, I have not yet received the credit for a {$10.00} XXXX XXXX charge from XX/XX/XXXX despite it being over 9 weeks since then. I have contacted American Express multiple times to get this cleared up, and have gotten answers including " you're right, we'll apply the credit to your account in a few days '' ( which never happened! ), " you're wrong, the credit posts for the previous month every time '' ( which isn't true ), and " we opened a case [ XXXX ] to investigate '' ( which they claim is still ongoing ).

Consumer Complaint: I noticed fraudulent activity on my American Express account. I disputed the charge with American Express and then requested they close my account afterwards. I received a confirmation letter indicating the account was closed. Several days later, I received a bill from American Express for an unrecognized American Express account. I attempted to resolve the matter with American Express, however the representative requested I provide them my SS number. Since I believe the source of the security breach is American Express, I am highly reluctant to provide my SS number to an overseas call center.

Consumer Complaint: American Express sent an offer to my existing account blue cash everyday credit card for upgrading to blue cash preferred card, as part of the upgrade the company required us to complete {$1000.00} purchases in 3 months with an annual fees of {$95.00}. After completing the purchases last year, the company awarded the promotion as a statement credit to the account. After evaluating that there was a limited use of the card and in order to avoid future fees associated with the preferred card, the customer requested to downgrade the card to original card. American Express downgraded the card but charged a statement credit reversal to the customer. Upon reaching out the customer service, the following 3 things needs to be noted : 1. American express follows a deceptive practice with promotions violating UDAAP to reverse the promotion even when the customer completed the promotion in the required amount of time 2. Upon reaching out to American express and asking on why there was a charge and disputing the transaction, there was no clear determination made by American Express if the disputed charge was correctly made. American Express representative described that the company will need 2 weeks time to complete determination, however declined to dispute the transaction and the customer is required to make the payment for a charge which the customer has already disputed, violating Reg Z 3. On XX/XX/XXXX when the downgrade was requested over phone, the customer service didn't mention there will be additional charge added to the account following a downgrade or gave customer the choice to make a appropriate decision sharing full disclosure. Again violating TILA and displaying UDAAP Below was the record of the dispute and related complaint ( reference : complaint case number XXXX ) with the company however American Express continues to require the customer to make the payment. Please take an appropriate action firstly to ensure customer does have the right to dispute transactions and not forced to make payment, and secondly for following deceptive practices to violate the use of promotional offers

Consumer Complaint: I have been very disappointed with the AMEX Platinum Card experience. I have been trying to spend a little more than usual on the card and I have been placed on a financial review in the XXXX month. But after that everything went well and the financial review was completed. Fast forward 2 months I spent a little more again and I get placed under a financial review for spending more again for no reason. It is so disappointing when you can not really use your charge card up to the full potential. I even got a checking account in AMEX so they know I will pay my debt to the fullest each month but it is not any of their concern. I can not keep doing financial reviews every two months that is absolutely absurd. Please do something about this man it is draining my day out and I do not want to wake up and go to work just because I have a financial review that I have to stress about and two AMEX cards that I can not use for 2-3 weeks for absolute no reason.
