Consumer Complaint: This account is has been showing on my consumer credit reports as a charge-off for 7 years plus. Ive been trying to dispute this issue for 2 years now. It is illegal to furnish income on a consumer report. A charge-off, according to the IRS, is income and you must file a 1099-C. They can't charge it off then report it to IRS. Furthermore, ( AMEX ) is committing tax fraud. As it stands, I have not received a copy of this form. My rights as a consumer are protected under Chapter 41 Title 15 USC 1601 highlights the consumer 's informed use of credit. At the time that I entered this consumer credit transaction, I was uninformed and I did not understand as the information was not clear and conspicuous. The agreement is null and void due to my lack of understanding because of your corporations unfair, deceptive, and misleadingpractices.

Consumer Complaint: American Express has gone up on my interest APR blaming the economy. I have had this same card for approx 8 years and have NEVER miss a payment and I have been late twice in 8 years! A little over a year ago, my interest rate was 16 % and had been for all those years. several months back it AMEX jumped it up to the high 28 % to 29 %. I am not even making a dent on my balance when I make my minimum ( that sure is a I can do with the APR jumping so high ) while AMEX blames the Covid era and the fed up'ing the interest rate! None of my other banks are doing this. As a matter of fact, Most of my banks have been amazingly and shockingly HELPFUL with my interest rate and OUTSTANDING pay history! I guarantee, I have paid more in interest to AMEX than I have ever purchased using the card! Amex offers plans to lower my payment WHILE HURTING MY CREDIT!! How is that fair to a perfect pay history client?

Consumer Complaint: My company credit card bill, originally from American Express, has been sent to collections through XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and I have received the collections statement. I went on a company issued training trip to XXXX, XXXX and was informed to use the card for flight tickets, room and board, food and COVID testing to reenter the United States and to fly. I also had to cover payments for another employee on the trip, who did not get card authorization prior to travel, so their card was declined. The company let me go and has now discontinued paying the credit card payments. I notified the original creditor multiple times that I was not responsible for the bill, and that the debt was not valid under my name, as it was a company card and issued trip in which I was asked to use the card. I was also required to assist the other employee financially on the trip. The original creditor continued to call, harass, and got very unprofessional with me, threatening me to pay the debt that was not mine. I let them know I did not agree with the debt and asked them to contact my employer for payment. I also attempted to contact my employer. However, they ignored all communication and still sent the account to collections under my name. The company required that I put my name on the account for the training trip, even though I did not desire to do so. No effort was made by either party to contact my employer and rectify the bill in that manner as their name is also on the credit card.

Consumer Complaint: I applied and was approved for a XXXX XXXX XXXX card with the promotion being XXXX points received once XXXX dollars was spent in the first 3 months, which I completed in a little over a month. I surpassed the XXXX dollars required and called to ask why my points have not been awarded. After talking to customer service, I had the call elevated to a supervisor where he repeated what the CS agent had told me that since I had already received bonus points with another AMEX card ( XXXX ) recently, I was declined the bonus points for this card. I was never told about this via call or email because if i had, I may have not kept the card. I have been an AMEX card holder for 23 years and I find this practice extremely shady and disappointing that i had no issues with my other AMEX accounts. I believe i should receive the full XXXX bonus points that the promotion stated, and why I applied.

Consumer Complaint: Around XXXX XXXX, I was booking a flight with XXXX XXXX when a Promotional Add come up on screen stating I can Open a New XXXX XXXX Credit card to save {$30.00} each way on Baggage Fees and I will receive a {$200.00} credit after my First Airline Purchase. That was it - No more details as I promptly applied on the American Express Website since I was already an XXXX customer using their Blue Cash Rewards Card. Instantly Approved and then I made my XXXX XXXX purchase used on XX/XX/XXXX- XX/XX/XXXX. I received the {$30.00} each way credit for baggage but I needed to contact AMEX to dispute the charge - This was Quickly Resolved on both instances. As I was talking to the Customer Service Representative around XX/XX/XXXX, nothing was ever stated about NOT receiving the {$200.00} promotional Credit. It was even confirmed during that XX/XX/XXXX phone call AFTER the first billing cycle, I would receive the Credit. In XX/XX/XXXX, I raised the concern again with AMEX, only to be told I was given a Promitional Credit for ANOTHER Credit card that I had opened several years ago and they do not issue multiple rewards.. IF This warning or disclaimer was on the Site when I opened the DELTA card, I would have Never used AMEX to purchase my Airline ticket nor would I have opened up the credit card. I Cancelled all of my Credit cards with amex as I was a customer since XXXX - If they dont care about customers, there are plenty of other Credit offerings out there that do!

Consumer Complaint: The Bank is " American Express Business Bank '' They received a wire from a client of mine directing to me. First and agent told me that I'd be able to receive the wire without an issue even if it's international. Once they sent it and it never arrived I reached out and they said that Amex can't receive international wires because they don't participate in the swift program so by default the wire couldn't be credited to me so they sent it back. That was on XX/XX/23 both the receipt and the refusal from Amex. It is now XX/XX/23 and I have imad numbers from the transaction being sent. But now it's been on hold with the intermediary bank and they have yet to release the funds to the original sending account in the XXXX. When I call XXXX XXXX XXXX which is the intermediary bank they said because I'm not a client I cant tell me the wire info. I've called the wire department at the intermediary bank with the wire department at American Express and they said to have Amex send a swift message but Amex does not have swift capabilities so they sent out a secure message which I also have an imad number for but XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX is not responding. If this money doesn't get back to my clients I will lose their contract due to associated negligence on my part albeit not my fault
