Consumer Complaint: Hello, I am reaching out to report American Express for unfair practices and harassment over the past 4-5 months. It started on or around the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX when they blocked my credit cards for absolutely no reason as my account was in good standing and paid on time. When i reached out to them they requested from me to pay the balance on my business credit card but even on that account the minimum payment was met and even exceeded. When i told them what i just told you they said that they will unfreeze my cards but confronted me that i need to be paying my balance in full every month even though there was no such thing in the agreement and they gave me promotional APR on that account as well as {$40.00} carry over limit and i have spend {$160000.00} on that account and paid {$120000.00} that fiscal year. After clearing everything they unlocked my cards but my problems didn't stopper there. It was pretty much on a weekly base that i was receiving phone calls, threatening e-mails of freezing my accounts, got my accounts frozen again and i literally had to have same conversations every week for months. The last time i had to reassure them and share my financial plans was on the XXXX of this month. A few days later not happy with the fact that i am still taking advantage of the offer they gave me to carry over balance on my business account they went to retaliate against me and reduced the balance on my personal credit card by {$25000.00} for absolutely no good reason regardless of the fact that i reduced my balance on that card by {$3700.00} just this month. Now because of that i get this warnings when i log in and it makes look like my accounts are not in good standing even though i have never been late on payments and i am closing to the limit cuz they drastically reduced it. They have truly been harassing me for months and the only reason i can think of is my national origin. If i haven't had a XXXX name i don't think i would've been in this position. They want me when i use my cards and pay them hundreds of thousands of dollars but if i happen to use any of the offers they give me they freak out and start harassing me. I am hoping that you're agency will investigate this thoroughly and look into their practices so they can stop harassing people. There's nothing worse then to constantly explain yourself when you have done nothing wrong. I have never been bullied like this in my entire life. This got into situation that is no longer tolerable and need 's to stop! As a proof that the forgoing is true i have attached the evidence i have available

Consumer Complaint: I have this Amex XXXX card that was given to me from my employer XXXX XXXX for a reward i received on my team. The amount was {$200.00}. The expiry date on the card XX/XX/XXXX and I tried to use the card in the first week of XXXX and the card already had {$0.00} balance as of XX/XX/XXXX. Although the back of the card says the balance does not expire until end of the month mentioned in the expiry date which is end of XX/XX/XXXX. Technically I should be able to use my balance until XX/XX/XXXX. I tried to contact Amex Customer service and escalated opened a case # XXXX and spoke to someone high up on the chain but they did not reissue new card and asked me to send a hand written complaint. Need you help on getting my balance back.

Consumer Complaint: My ex-husband, XXXX XXXX XXXX, used my social security number to gain access to my account, changed my mailing addresses twice and sent duplicate AMEX platinum cards to his home address and business address without my consent or knowledge. I have attempted to file USPIS reports, police reports, FBI reports and contacted AMEX repeatedly to try and recover the cards he had mailed to himself in my name. the cards are still missing and presumably in his possession. I need assistance getting the police to act on this identity theft and if they can not help, the FBI should be involved as the police have told me to file FTC, FCC and IC3 reports about this matter, which I have done. He has used my personal information to change over multiple credit card and financial accounts and changed my billing and mailing addresses to addresses in his control as the only adult living there. I am unable to lock him out of my accounts as he is claiming he is my spouse and attacking my accounts online and over the phone.

Consumer Complaint: 15 U.S. Code 1691 ( a ) ( 3 ) states that it shall be unlawful for any creditor to discriminate against any applicant, with respect to any aspect of a credit transaction because the applicant has in good faith exercised any right under this chapter. This means the definitions and rules of construction set forth in this chapter are also applicable for the purposes of any subchapter within. 15 U.S. Code 1602 ( f ) defines the term " credit '' as the RIGHT granted by a creditor to a debtor to defer payment of a debt or to incur debt and defer payment. By denying my application, you have discriminated against my RIGHT of credit and have therefore become in violation of not only the Fair Credit Reporting Act but also the Equal Credit Opportunity act. ECOA makes it unlawful for any creditor to discriminate against any applicant, with respect to any aspect of a credit transaction, on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex or marital status, age ( provided the applicant has the capacity to contract ), because all or part of the applicants income derives from any public assistance program, or because the applicant has in good faith exercised any right under the Consumer Credit Protection Act. Creditors must be able to provide applicants against whom adverse action is taken with an accurate statement of reasons. The statement of reasons must be specific and indicate the principal reason ( s ) for the adverse action. A creditor can not justify noncompliance with ECOA and Regulation Bs requirements based on the mere fact that the technology it employs to evaluate applications is too complicated or opaque to understand. Secondly in your denial letter you refer to information received on my credit report also known as a " consumer report. '' 15 U.S. Code 1681a clearly states that the term " consumer report '' does not include ; report containing information solely as to transactions or experiences between the consumer and the person making the report ; any authorization or approval of a specific extension of credit directly or indirectly by the issuer of a credit card or similar device ; any report in which a person who has been requested by a third party to make a specific extension of credit directly or indirectly to a consumer conveys his or her decision with respect to such request, if the third party advises the consumer of the name and address of the person to whom the request was made, and such person makes the disclosures to the consumer required under section 1681m of this title. Therefore I am also requesting the information you relied on, outside of the scope of what is considered information applicable to a consumer report according to 15 U.S. Code 1681a, to discriminate against me and my right to credit. Lastly, I have added an agreement between me and XXXX to delete inaccurately reported information included in my credit report. This agreement came with an updated credit file which actually shows what information is supposed to be accurately reporting on my account. Both are included. I had informed XXXX and XXXX that I was the victim of identity theft and have been disputing unverified and inaccurately reported accounts with them over the last year as well. I am currently in litigation to get the same resolution from both XXXX and XXXX. I have included this information to show that not only have you discriminated against me according to the Fair Credit Reporting Act and Equal Credit Opportunity act, you have done so based on inaccurate information. I am asking that you cease your discrimination practices and extend me a line of credit for your American Express Platinum Credit Card with the same offers that were advertised upon my initial application.

Consumer Complaint: At XXXXXXXX XXXX I picked up a phone call from XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX. The lady said someone used my identity on a bank account doing some crime activity. If I do not coordinate then I will need to go into jail. Then the lady provided website to prove her number is legit. Then another guy called with XXXX police number XXXX and threaten me and sent me Arrest Warrant. I had no choise but follow the instruction to avoid the arrest. I went to XXXX and XXXX to buy 16 gift cards in total of {$7900.00} worth. They asked me to send it over to them by phone. Then they gather my information then tell me to send them more gi card. Around XXXX I realized I need to make sure if those people are legit so I called my work superoir to help me call XXXX police. Then the police officer told me to stop talk to them and called me. First action I did is to call my credit card company ( American Express ) to cancel the payment but they are not able to even I was the victim who got scanned.

Consumer Complaint: I have a American Express Delta Skymile Credit card for few years. I received an offer on XX/XX/XXXX to upgrade my credit card and receive XXXX skymiles if certain criteria were met. They are enclosed in the PDF attached. Once, I met those criteria and called them for the first time in XX/XX/XXXX, they said skymiles were issued and taken back immidiately against my past negative skymiles balance. However, I have no negative skymiles balance either in Delta Airline Account or American Express Credit card account. This can be varified in the attachment. I kept asking in several subsequent calls for months to give me promissed skymiles and if not why would they not show negative skymile in my account. I was never given the skymiles they promissed in the deceptive promotion and no one ever gave me an answer and simply hid behind the line 'This is company Policy '. If company policy is to hide information from client so they can steal from their client in future, then this is a deceptive practice and a regulatory action is warranted on the company. Furthermore, if the company already knew that I have a negative skymiles balance in my account, why did they choose to send me an offer when they certainly knew that they will deduct these miles from the clients account. They chose not to disclose about my negative balance in this offer email. This is another deceptive pratice by the company. I called several times for XXXX months but there was no resolution. I requested to lodge complaints as well but the reps were dilly dallying in thier response. After several calls, I was finally able to lodge a complaint with them in XX/XX/XXXX and the case no. for this complaint is - XXXX. It has almost been 2 months since last call and again no response. To this date, I have not received a single email, any phone calls or letter in the mail to notify me of any negative skymiles balance in my account. On my last call in XX/XX/XXXX I was told that I still have approximately XXXX skymiles and I have no way to see it anywhere. They have wasted a lot of my time and still refuse to resove the issue and give me my skymiles.

Consumer Complaint: I cancelled a credit card ending in XXXX on XX/XX/2023. The card is destroyed so i don't have the full number. I was charged a late fee of {$29.00} for a late bill totaling {$50.00}. I called and was told the balance was {$79.00}. I made the payment thru my bank and it was processed today. I got an email today I owed another {$1.00} amount for an interest payment. I called today to find out why I was not told of this fee yesterday. The woman could not tell me just that it was posted yesterday. Since I cancelled the card yesterday I don't hink I should have to pay this amount. I know its a small fee but its the principal, and I'm not confident they will not charge me for something else again. Thanks, XXXX XXXX
