Consumer Complaint: I would like to make amendments to my previous complaint as there are some unintentional errors. The complaint associated with # XXXX is to be void and replaced by this one : AMERICAN EXPRESS entered into a consumer agreement with me and did not inform me of my right to rescind, or my right to opt out and did in fact reported to a third party non affiliate. Their terms and condition say they do not provide my information to third party non-affiliates. they violated their own terms and condition when they shared my information with the credit reporting agencies ( XXXX, XXXXXXXX XXXX ). Additionally, they provided no opt out notice as per 12 CFR 332.9. I made 2 deposits on XX/XX/XXXX totaling {$3100.00}. another XX/XX/XXXX {$5000.00} another XX/XX/XXXX {$1900.00} and another XX/XX/XXXX {$9000.00} and then requested a withdrawal {$15000.00} to pay my quarterly income taxes and which was rejected. Consumer Complaint: I was gifted a {$100.00} gift card, from Amexgiftcard.com Ive tried using the gift card at numerous retailers, such as XXXX, XXXX, XXXX and even tried to add it to my XXXX account to send money. None of these worked and the payment is declined. I attempted to load {$50.00} on my XXXX account on XX/XX/XXXX - payment was declined. I attempted to load it in my XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX - the transaction was {$97.00} and change ( was trying to account for 3 % transaction fee ) - didnt work. The XXXX transaction I attempted was {$55.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. After that didnt work, I attempted a XXXX XXXX for {$59.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. The Amex website has a Help section with only a bunch of FAQs and a phone number. Ive called the number and request to be connected with a customer service agent and am put on hold indefinitely, never able to connect with anyone. This seems like a complete scam. I can see that the website tracks the transactions Ive tried to make because Ive seen the balance go down by about {$0.00} to account for the transaction fee from, say, XXXX. After several business days the balance returns to the full {$100.00} because the retailer rejected the payment method.

Consumer Complaint: I bought XXXX tickets XXXX on XXXX XXXX Amex. I purchased Trip Guard for all XXXX tickets. I am Amex XXXX. Card ending : XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX I called and cancelled one of the travellers, XXXX XXXX and claimed trip guard insurance. Horrible service, took almost two hours. Recently I got an email from Amex saying XXXX XXXX refused to pay insurance because XXXX had given me airline credit. I called XXXX they said no credit had been issued nor had they even been contacted by Amex. Amex has engaged in insurance fraud. They offer and sell trip guard insurance and then deny coverage on false arguments. I spent 1 hour on calls today with Amex, one employee hung up the phone, others offered no solution. Fraudulent and egregious conduct. I demand reimbursement of the price I paid for useless trip guard or coverage for the XXXX XXXX ticket. In parallel to complaining directly to Amex I am filing complaints with XXXX, CFPB and FTC. I will also be cancelling my Amex cards this year. Trip ID : XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX.
