In addition, account holders are entitled under these laws to have payments and credits applied to the revolving credit account promptly and to request prompt resolution of billing errors. Consumer Complaint: On the date as of, XX/XX/2023, I completed an application for a consumer credit line and was denied access to said credit line. Immediately after the delivery of this information I had received, I called the American Express Customer Service Line for Credit Services, phone number provided here : XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX, that was provided for the dispute of such actions and related issues and was directed to the supervisor of their department. After expressing to him my rights as a consumer, expressing my knowledge of my application being turned into a promissory note that HAS value no matter what, and has been deemed lawful money on demand, I was told that I did have a claim and gave me the correspondence postage information, and directed me towards the legal department of American Express. I have sent written correspondence as stated in terms and conditions and as stated by a representative of the company. I have yet to hear back any kind of correspondence when they are holding a security that I have provided to them for the opening of my open ended credit account which hasnt been opened yet. the credit line that shouldve been provided to me. Because I have given something of value, a security, and have not received anything in return. Which is bottom line securities fraud, for my open ended consumer account which should have been opened. I am an investor, per their prospectus, I have provided a promissory note, and that is a security which provides all collateral necessary for the opening of the open ended credit account. This company is prolonging their process, for a matter that shouldve already been handled by now.
