Subissue: Company closed your account
Consumer Complaint: Wells Fargo Case XXXX last attempted to be addressed XX/XX/23 My checking accounts were all closed suddenly due to concerns about fraud when I fell for a scam and my account password was compromised. The scammers attempted to deposit and subsequently withdraw fake checks multiple times ( all in the same amount, remotely ). I understand closing the account for fraud concerns. I dont understand being prohibited from opening another checking account with them ever again. I have continued to make payments on my Line of Credit and credit card that is still active with them, which are much more difficult to use and/or pay without the ease of transferring funds instantly to and from a Wells Fargo account via the mobile app or online. I have to draw from my Line of Credit via a XXXX minute process inside a physical branch location each time in order to transfer to an outside bank. Im writing primarily to complain about the sudden account closures with no ability to appeal the closure and/or open a new checking account ever again.

I have been with this Bank for fourteen years, and as soon as this is taken care of I am closing my account with them. Bank Fraud on their part.

Issue: Repossession
Subissue: Company communicating payment assistance or payment extension options
Consumer Complaint: Wells Fargo was sued for incorrectly entering the payments of those loan holders in Wells Fargo auto unit. I myself owned a vehicle under loan by Wells Fargo from XXXX until XXXX in XXXX. Wells Fargo was also sued under the incorrect ability to allow client to change when the bill is paid. I sent in at least 12 to 13 documents with my signature requesting that the bill due date be changed to the latter part of the month. Under the statute of a bank it was under my rights to be able to change that payment due date. Despite my efforts via postal mail, faxed documentation that I faxed Wells Fargo with my signature in a time frame where I had been in a positive balance with my payment for the month I would send in a request of payment change date so when I paid my bill would be later in the month. I have documentation of such. I recently have reviewed my bank records for the time that I've had the car with Wells Fargo. Most recently the payment of {$210.00} which on recorded phone call the representative for Wells Fargo stated that she would stop repossession. However due to my state of New York laws and statutes we entered into an agreement where I would receive a legal document stating a warning of repossession prior to any communication of such and I've never received that and I've never received any documentation from Wells Fargo proving they sent me the letter that I legally should have had prior to starting repossession. Wells Fargo was sued for selling cars at private auctions making the client or loan holder unaware of sale. My car was sold I was never told that it was going to be sold I was never made aware that it was at said date per my rights under New York State statutes of law. I was never greeted with a time frame that I could arrange in my schedule of a medical assistant, to come on a time where I now had to prepare a ride after my car was taken for me after 7 years of use in the same detriment of debt. I started this contract at {$210.00} per month. I graciously called after payment of the bill to request that we change the payment due date of the bill. And of course Wells Fargo was recently sued for not allowing its customers to do so. So Wells Fargo prevented me from changing my payment arrangement due date despite the fact that I would call in a payment and on that same phone call would request a change in the date of when my bill was actually due for the month. Recent bank records that I've reviewed have stated very odd payments that don't correlate with my actual bank records. A numerous amount of times a Wells Fargo 's representative entered that I paid {$12.00} for the month when I have receipts in money orders and in my bank records that state that I would pay {$240.00} for the month. And then when I would pay I would also request a payment arrangement change of date for when the bill is due. And I would get something in the mail I would sign it I would put the date change and I would mail it back in the correct mailing address for Wells Fargo auto. The next month would come around and I would go to my mailbox and see that Wells Fargo did not in fact change the date that we discussed over my bill paying call and I signed on and now in returned each month from XXXX when my loan initiated until XXXX when I was incorrectly and illegally repossessed inappropriately. Wells Fargo is going to continue to argue with people it does not want to pay after being sued XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX But also hides documents of request of payment change for the bill despite the fact that the client has copies. And it's Associates enter in payments such as {$12.00} when the entire payment for that month should have been entered as {$240.00} per bank records of client. When repossession was illegally initiated no letter had made it to client and you have no proof that you sent any kind of legal documentation of warning. You also would not allow client to change the date that the bill was due during a positive balance in payment towards the loan. And there is a current open lawsuit against you. And everything that you have done to me towards my time as a client of yours has been every single one of these and more that more people will probably tell you are happening to them too. It's not okay that Wells Fargo Associates have been allowed to enter payments in incorrectly and lose continuous documentation over years and years of client attempts. This is unacceptable to deny clients after the lawsuit that they don't fit into the lawsuit when corrected they do fit into the lawsuit because every single statue of the claimant that sued you to begin with is where I am and I fall into XX/XX/XXXX and you've done all of these things to me. My bank records back that up and I'm not sharing documents with everyone to steal my identity and Wells Fargo knows exactly how they're hiding the incorrect way that they repossessed my vehicle.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/year> I was woken up by an incoming text message from Wells Fargo bank, asking if I had just attempted a {$3500.00} XXXX transfer. I replied NO. I then receive the second text message from Wells Fargo stating that a representative would be contacting me shortly. The man called a couple of minutes later and stated he was a representative of the bank and that he was going to assist me in getting my money back. After a two hour long phone call the call was disconnected and then I called the same phone number back that had called me and spoke to another representative who said that they had no notes or record of a representative calling me or that any text messages were sent out. I then spent several more hours filing multiple fraud claims. They had taken out {$7900.00} from both my checking and savings accounts. This apparently was done through numerous transactions in XXXX XXXX, XXXX, XXXX XXXX and internal transfers. The representative told me that someone had gained access to my online banking credentials. I live with my XXXX children and I am in a higher position at an insurance company. I sat there looking at my debit card being told that everything was shut down and I now have no access to ANY money for the next XXXX business days while they work their investigation. Today is day XXXX without any money and no one has even called me to ask me questions. I then call in to check the status of my claims as the previous rep had suggested that I do, telling me that they would be able to provide me with a provisional credit while I wait. I called today to be told that my claims were denied and then they hung up on me. I drove to my local branch only to be told that they could do no more than I already had which was filing a claim. I am sickened, I have been vomiting, severe headaches and anxiety. I am a single mother and that was literally my entire lifes savings. On top of this I recently found out that my XXXX has returned. I have no family and no help. Ive been banking with XXXX for over 10 years now and this is the XXXX time Ive had fraudsters hack my account ( only checking previously ), this one is by far the worst. Can they truly just steal $ XXXX from someone and thats it? I am devastated and dont feel as though I can believe or trust anyone anymore and I am traumatized by this entire event. I feel helpless and duped. This was an institution that I trusted to place my entire life savings so that it would be safe. I have been saving up for a down payment on my first home. Thats not going to ever happen now. I am sick.

Consumer Complaint: Dear Wells Fargo Bank, I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with your handling of my dispute regarding a fraudulent charge on my account. I filed a dispute on XX/XX/year>, and provided all the necessary documentation to prove that I did not authorize the transaction. However, it has been more than 30 days and I have not received any update or resolution from you. I feel that you are using tactics of negligence and delay to avoid processing my dispute. This is unacceptable and unfair to me as a loyal customer. I have been with Wells Fargo for over 2 years and I expect better service from you. You have a legal obligation to investigate and resolve disputes within a reasonable time frame, as stated in the Fair Credit Billing Act. I request that you expedite the resolution of my dispute and provide me with a written confirmation of the outcome. I also request that you refund any fees or interest charges that resulted from the fraudulent charge. If you fail to do so, I will escalate this matter to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and seek legal action.

Consumer Complaint: I received an email stating that WELLS FARGO responded so the CFPB again closes my case just because they responded but the CFPB failed to adequately examine the evidence that were provided to them from WELLS FARGO. In the letter WELLS FARGO submitted as evidence, it specifically states that We apologize that we are unable to meet your request and provide specific reasons for this process. To do so would jeopardize the integrity of our investigations. Our records show the claim documentation that we can provide was mailed to your address on file XX/XX/2024. We have enclosed a copy for reference. They are literally saying we cant provide you evidence but we are going to willfully and intentionally deny you your securities because the transaction were valid and was not made in error. In order to make that legal determination there has to be some evidence but again they have failed and refused in providing evidence to their legal claim. The so called evidence that sent to me on XXXX XXXX which I sent copies to the CFPB were just computer generated Bank Statements and according to a previous case filed against WELLS FARGO, bank statements are false and Misleading representation of evidence and omitted from material facts. Once again that have refused to provide any evidence of their determination but has continuously deny and refuse to reissue my securities, at this point I see no other option but to take this to Federal claims. They also stated that page 20 of the Deposit Agreement States that was signed by myself and WELLS FARGO states what a deposit account is but I read it 4 times and no where does it describe a Deposit Account is or isnt.
