Consumer Complaint: Greetings, I recently received a communication from Wells Fargo ( WF ) instructing me to update the physical addresses associated with my accounts, or they would be closed. Historically, I had utilized a po box as my mailing address for all statements, but WF claimed they lacked a physical postal address on file for my accounts. In response, on XX/XX/XXXX, I visited a WF branch and presented the correspondence. The account manager assisted in updating my accounts with my home address as the physical address while retaining the po box for mailing. Upon leaving the branch, I believed I had fulfilled the requirement outlined in the letter. However, when someone attempted to deposit funds into my account, they informed me of the unsuccessful transaction. Upon inquiry, a WF representative explained that my accounts were frozen because the account manager had only updated the mailing address on the statements, not the physical address. I am now unable to access my funds, and according to the WF representative, I must wait for 10 business days. This situation has left me unable to pay bills, jeopardizing my credit, and, most importantly, impacting my ability to provide for my children. I am in desperate need of assistance.

Consumer Complaint: We had a financial hardship that started in XXXX were having trouble paying our mortgage to Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, but we never missed a payment because we were draining our retirement funds and getting assistance from family members. We first requested mortgage assistance in XX/XX/XXXX but were rejected because " Your current financial situation does not meet the requirements for a loan modification. '' We again requested mortgage assistance in XX/XX/XXXX. We also requested a short sale in XX/XX/XXXX and were approved on XXXX XXXX, XXXX. Another request for mortgage assistance in XX/XX/XXXX was rejected. In XX/XX/XXXX we requested a deed in lieu of foreclosure. In XX/XX/XXXX we sent a Homeowner Assistance Form, reiterated our hardship and had started accepting short-sale offers. In XX/XX/XXXX we also let Wells Fargo know we no longer wanted to pursue a deed in lieu but would like to continue with the short sale process. On XXXX XXXX, XXXX, and again on XXXX XXXX, XXXX, Wells Fargo approved our pursuit of a short sale with authorization to list the house for {$360000.00}. We received XXXX offers for short sale ranging from {$360000.00} to {$380000.00}. Ultimately, Wells Fargo rejected each one and we were forced to go through foreclosure and bankruptcy. Until that point, we had never missed a mortgage payment because we drained our savings accounts and were receiving financial assistance from family members.

Issue: Managing the loan or lease
Subissue: Problem with fees charged
Consumer Complaint: I was mailed a check this past XXXX from Wells Fargo Remediation regarding a car loan back in XXXX of XXXX. The letter was very vague and they identified that they had issues applying my payment. Those issues contributed to repossessing my vehicle in XXXX of XXXX. They state as a result interest and/or fees were incorrectly assessed. They enclosed a check for {$7400.00}. I took it upon myself to look more into this and I am completely speechless to what they did to me and hundreds of other customers. I am ( XXXX ) of XXXX customers that were " scammed '' and had my car basically stolen from Wells Fargo. I then realized that WF admitted to signing up customers for insurance even if they already obtained on their own. They only have spoken to me about the ( 1 ) repossession in XXXX BUT they also repossessed my vehicle in XXXX of XXXX. My husband and myself had to gather up the money to get it back the first time. I remember that I was upset cause I was only 2 weeks late on my payment. Fast forward to XXXX and it was taken again and at that point my husband and myself were not able to get it back. No real reason was given to me on any of it. It was such an emotional and financially draining event. I never even received a final letter on what happened to my car after it was auctioned off. I have been speaking to Wells Fargo since XX/XX/XXXX of this year as I wrote them and asked to go into mediation regarding this because I want answers and quite honestly they have not made this right. They purchased an insurance policy from XXXX of XXXX - XXXX. I had my own insurance and my car was repossessed twice in that time frame! The entire situation caused me to have bad credit with a repossession on my record. I struggled for years to get another car because it would require much money down and lets not fail to mention the shame and just financial " RUIN '' it did to me. I married ( my first and only marriage ) in XXXX of XXXX. I got denied for home loans and I am sorry they need to make this right! I have every record of having the proper insurance on that vehicle. I also have the information to what happened to my vehicle after they took it in XXXX XXXX. They sold it in 5 days and the state of Texas requires 10 day ( ILLEGAL ). I also have all the info of large deposit on the car the day I bought the vehicle at dealership. What they did is a fraud and scam. My mediator " XXXX '' has not mediated with me but has had me call other departments that get me no where. I am asking for assistance from you all please. These last 30 days having to go back to such a traumatic experience is weighing on me. PLEASE HELP

Consumer Complaint: I recently contacted XXXX XXXX, to replace the floors in my Home. I was approved for a Loan with Wells Fargo and was told my monthly payments would be {$360.00}. The agreement was to pay on the XXXX of each Month. I signed everything and have not missed a single payment. I recently noticed a {$40.00} late fee for making a payment on the XXXX instead of the XXXX. I was honest and mentioned to the Wells Fargo Representative that I'm currently undergoing XXXX XXXX and I requested to change my due date. Wells Fargo declined to change the due date until I pay them the {$40.00} late fee. I told them that I was not able to do so. Wells Fargo started calling to collect the " Past Due '' amount. I told Wells Fargo at that time that I had already made a payment. The Representative told me that she was calling to collect the payment for the following Month. I asked if it was ethical to collect a payment that was not due yet. She pressed on to collect the payment which was not due yet. I politely asked Wells Fargo to cease and desist any form of communication with me. Wells Fargo has since violated my request and they continue to call to collect a bill I have already paid. Prime example ; I was due on XX/XX/XXXX. I paid {$370.00} on XX/XX/year>. On XX/XX/XXXX, Wells Fargo contacted me to collect a Payment I have already paid. Why? I think Wells Fargo is disregarding my request and is engaging in intimidating and harassing me on purpose. I signed a contract to payoff the loan in 4 years. I'm 6 months into my 48 months. I need the bullying to stop once and for all.

Consumer Complaint: Hello, I noticed {$58.00} and {$48.00} being taken out of my Wells Fargo bank on a monthly basis, since XX/XX/2023. I thought the withdrawals were going to my health insurance XXXX XXXX plan but when I called XXXX them they said it wasn't them. The XXXX was going to a fake XXXX loyalty plan and the {$48.00} was going to some life insurance, Called XXXX, that I didn't sign up for. When I Explained this to my financial institute Wells fargo, roughly a week ago, they did some research then refunded a portion of the money and then stated they can not refund any more money because they cant get anymore from the group that stole my money. THIS DOES NOT MAKE SENSE TO ME. I thought FDIC covers you if you are found to be a victim of fraud. They honored some of the money so it is obvious to me that I am right and some one took my money under their watch. Can you help me?
