Consumer Complaint: Back in XXXX of 2023 I received a call from someone claiming to be with Wells Fargo Bank wanting to know if I was traveling abroad because I had some unusual charges on my account that were out of my state. They sent me a text message with a XXXX digit number that they wanted me to read back to them for verification of who I was. Later that day I received an email from Wells Fargo stating that I had signed up for online wire transfers ( I did not ). Also received an email stating that an online wire transfer had been initiated out of my account. I immediately called Wells Fargo and spoke with an associate, I informed her that I did not sign for such service nor did I initiate a wire transfer. She informed that my money would be back in my account in XXXX to XXXX hours. To this date I have not received my money back. I have reported this to my local Sherriff Dept. and a warrant has been issued. I will attach screen shots of emails from Wells Fargo. I did not authorize any wire transfer, someone had hacked my account and even my phone. I took my phone in and had it looked at because I wasn't receiving any calls, all calls were being forwarded to an unknown number. XXXX XXXX stated that that it was hacked and they had to reset phone and change my account number.

Consumer Complaint: I went to the local branch of Wells Fargo bank to do a wire transfer today on XX/XX/2024. I was at the bank at XXXX XXXX to do a wire transfer to my Lawyer 's bank ( XXXX XXXX XXXX for my closing at noon on XX/XX/2024 for a house I am buying. I was told by the banker the transfer would happen within a couple of hours at latest end of day. My lawyer informed me the money was not in his account at end of business day. The amount was {$26000.00}. All the information routing and acct numbers were verified by me and the banker verbally and visually at the bank. I have the banking sheets confirming this. My account was debited so the money left my account but was not received. Wells Fargo has on their wire transfer information online that if you submit a domestic wire transfer prior to XXXX XXXX standard time it will go out that day. Mine was submitted at around XXXX XXXX which is like XXXX XXXX time so this should have gone out same day. When I called the Wells Fargo help line I spoke with two people, one a supervisor who then both told me it could take 1 to 3 days. I informed them that no one at the local branch told me this and that their own documentation says it will go out that day as I noted before. I can not close on this house without these funds and this is holding up a financial transaction not only for me but quite a few other people who worked very hard to have this real estate deal take place tomorrow. I have a mortgage with XXXX too and this is not ok I am already their customer. I also paid {$40.00} dollars to have this take place as expected same day.

Consumer Complaint: Unable to make payment on Wells Fargos website. Validation error when trying to select an account to pay from. It almost seems like theyre now saying I must have a WF bank account to make payments. Thats never been a requirement in the past so I dont understand why it would be now.

Issue: Trouble during payment process
Subissue: Private mortgage insurance (PMI)
Consumer Complaint: Last XX/XX/XXXX, I spoke with my Wells Fargo Rep about removing PMI from my mortgage payment as I knew my LTV ratio was low enough to remove it. ( I'm a previous XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. ) I purchased the home on XX/XX/XXXX. In XX/XX/XXXX I received the requested form to remove the PMI, read all through the instructions and sent the signed document with a {$150.00} check to the Wells Fargo PMI Department address of the form on XX/XX/XXXX. About a month later I was told I was submitting the form too soon. The Wells Fargo employee called me and said the mortgage loan had to be over two ( 2 ) years old. I was furious as there was no where in the documentation that I received that said the mortgage had to be over two years old nor was it any part of the conversation when initial speaking with a Wells Fargo employee about this process. I felt my hands were tied and I agreed to cancel the process and my {$150.00} was returned. I then waited until after XX/XX/XXXX to re-submit the form andf resubmitted the form on XX/XX/XXXX with another {$150.00} check to have my PMI removed from my mortgage. Then I got super busy. It wasn't until last week that I realized I had heard nothing and the check had been cashed. I called Wells Fargo 's PMI Department on XXXX and after speaking with a woman who had no clue, I asked to speak to her superior. She put me on the phone to a very helpful you man who researched the situation while I was on the phone. To his and my surprise the {$150.00} check was posted to PRINCIPAL. hTere was no other record of the PMI removal request. The form I sent in in XXXX had been submitted with the form and the check stapled to the form. I was outraged. Why is Wells Fargo 's staff so incompetent. I agreed to leave the {$150.00} as a principal payment as the Wells Fargo man helping me said it would be a mess to get that reversed. Shortly I then received in the mail and via email all the info to start all over again. Please remember this has been going on since XX/XX/XXXX. It's now XX/XX/XXXX! I sent a letter this week, XX/XX/XXXX, explaining all of the above with another {$150.00} check and that if I did not receive a response within two weeks with a full refund of my PMI payments since XX/XX/XXXX and the removal of PMI from my mortgage payments, I would contact you. I do not believe that the policy of Wells Fargo is to require the mortgage holder to wait for over two years before they can apply for the removal of PMI from the mortgage because everyone I spoke with since has denied any knowledge of this policy and this requirement was no where on the initial and previous documentation I received regarding requesting this PMI removal. I also do not believe they will get it done right ( 3rd attempt ) without youri intervention.

Issue: Closing on a mortgage
Subissue: Trying to communicate with the company to fix an issue with the loan closing
Consumer Complaint: I had a mortgage loan with another individual with Wells Fargo, after making 95 % of the mortgage payments myself, I took the other individual to court to get their name off of the deed which was time consuming since this person lived in another country. After the deed was filed with only my name on the deed, I filled out all the paperwork to assume the loan just in my name since it was an assumable loan. I started the process in early XXXX, XXXX and gave Wells Fargo everything they asked for within a couple of hours or less. I closed on the loan on XX/XX/year>. Wells Fargo sold my loan to XXXX XXXX which at the time, I thought it was sold to them with ONLY my name on the loan since I had closed the assumption loan. I received some correspondence in the mail with my name and other name that was on the original loan prior to assuming the loan ONLY in my name. This started a bunch of emails and phone calls to both XXXX XXXX and Wells Fargo. I found out that my loan was sold on XX/XX/year>. My question is, how can Wells Fargo close on a mortgage loan on XX/XX/year> when they did not own my loan. XXXX XXXX owned it at the time. Why was I not told about any of this? What happened to my closing costs? I need to start the assumption over with XXXX XXXX, I want my closing costs since I will have to pay again. Is it legal for a bank to close on a loan that they don't own?
