Issue: Getting a line of credit
Subissue:
Consumer Complaint: I applied for a business loan with Wells Fargo in which I have been a customer for over XXXX. Wells Fargo has XXXX of my business checking accounts in which they refuse to loan when I receive an adequate amount of income on each account. This has caused issues with me believing this company discriminates based on their own personal reasons. Wells Fargo should loan based on credit worthiness and income. But they denied my loan stating I dont have enough credit history of installment loans. Which sounds very unconvincing because I actually have XXXX installment loans and I have never been late on any of my payments with any account ever. I currently am asking for a line of credit and they denied the credit and told me they would open a case and get back to me. Currently awaiting the process and the excuses of why they choose not to provide a loan to me.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/2022 I logged into my Wells Fargo online account and realized that the balance on my daughters account XXXX XXXXXXXX ( which also is my subaccount ) was very low, just {$680.00} ( I knew it should be about {$5500.00} ). I looked the recent activities and found a suspicious transaction on XX/XX/2022 of {$4800.00}. The transaction description was : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX on-line XXXX on XXXX. Also when I checked my XXXX mail box I found unopened emails from Wells Fargo confirming that the following changes have occurred in my bank account on XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( neither me nor my daughter never made that changes ) : XXXX. XX/XX/2022 the XXXX XXXX XXXX had been added XXXX. XX/XX/2022 the email address XXXX had been added ( the original email address linked to my bank account was XXXX. Looking ahead, I can tell the email linked to my bank account was changed by hacker because it was possible to login to the email XXXX through browser XXXX XXXX ( the password was saved in XXXX XXXX ). XXXX. XX/XX/2022 XXXX XXXX payee had been added Payee Name ( Nickname ) XXXX XXXX XXXX Payee Account Number XXXX Payee Address XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, CA XXXX XXXX. XX/XX/XXXX XXXXWells Fargo payee had been added Payee Name ( Nickname ) WELLS FARGO CREDIT CA Payee Account Number XXXX Payee Address XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, CA XXXX I immediately called to my daughter to confirm that it was not her made all that changes and transaction of {$4800.00}. She confirmed that she never did that. Also neither me neither my daughter never had an account in XXXX XXXX. I immediately called to Well Fargo trying to cancel that fraud transaction, but it was already too late to cancel it. Wells Fargo started case # XXXX, they made investigation and they had closed it, claiming that the transaction was made by me or by my daughter. The proofs were that the transaction was made from the same IP that was normally used. I use XXXX computers which are in my home, so Wells Fargo trying to say that the t/a was made from XXXX of these computer. What I think is that there was probably a way for fraudsters to use my computer remotely. Fraudsters probably infected my computer with a virus and then remotely did all that actions, so it looked like it was made from my computer, thats why Wells Fargo see the same IP address that was normaly used. Another thing is that I saved my Wells Fargo bank account password in XXXX XXXX browser, I thought it was safe to do that. See what XXXX XXXX says about that : " Is it safe to save password in XXXX account? Answer : XXXX never learns your usernames or passwords during this process. When you use XXXX to sign in to a website, XXXX encrypts your username and password with a secret key known only to your device. Then it sends an obscured copy of your data to XXXX. '' So I thought it was safe to keep passwords from my Well Fargo account and XXXX account in XXXX XXXX XXXX. But looks like it was totally unsafe. Thank you for trying to help!

Consumer Complaint: Wells Fargo has failed to properly process a check to my account due to back room processing errors. The first deposit was XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX # XXXX, {$8200.00}. The first time this Item was deposited it was placed in special handling envelope and hand keyed in leaving off the last number of the XXXX #. Rather than correcting this they returned the Item to me causing a {$550.00} over draft. They never notified me and I found out about this when trying to use my debit card and was denied. No problem sending a threatening email to immediately cover the over draft to my account. No attempt by Wells Fargo was made to correct or reprocess the check nor was there ever a problem with this item. They refused to provide me with any explanation except to say, " you will have to refer to the maker ''. through my research I was able to determine that Wells Fargo had never attempted to process this check. they refused to reprocess forcing me to have it replaced by the maker. That deposit was made on XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX # XXXX, {$8200.00}. At XXXX am, XX/XX/XXXX I received an email stating XXXX were being held until XX/XX/XXXX my account was again over drawn this time {$880.00} and items were returned. Again the threatening email to cover the XXXX item they paid. XXXX bank and the issuer verified that Wells Fargo had cashed the XX/XX/XXXX and XXXX paid the item on XX/XX/XXXX. Their back room processing told several stories, the item had a stop payment, the item was returned etc. none of which turned out to be true. All this happened at a Wells Fargo Branch and with a branch manager that was assigned to me to fix the first issue. I sent XXXX full hour at that office on the phone with XXXX XXXX both myself and their manager being transferred more time then I can count, simply asking them, both myself and the manager to issue a provisional credit. They refused even after confirming they knew they had the funds. In the end I was left holding the bag for not one mistake but two, told I would have wait as long as XX/XX/XXXX for resolution. I received an email at XXXX PM XX/XX/XXXX stating what I already knew they have confused the two deposit and think the new replacement check is XXXX with the Stop Payment. Again Their Branch Manager and myself confirmed the XXXX XXXX cleared and was paid on XX/XX/XXXX by XXXX bank!!

Subissue: Overdrafts and overdraft fees
Consumer Complaint: I am hard of hearing and often have to use a TTY line. TTY lines have a delay and I get hung up on. Wells Fargo 's phone lines disconnect when switching lines often too. The account " available balance '' is delayed, significantly. For example it states " {$400.00} available '' you make a " {$200.00} '' charge, it " suddenly updates '' the balance to say you don't actually have the much. I have Overdraft protection off. I opted out of all overdraft protections. Wells Fargo still " lets '' them go through. Debit card is off, Wells Fargo still lets it go through, even when balance is low. Instead of declining it. Wells Fargo stated you must call their customer support to take away the " pre-authorizations '' in order for it to decline. I've done this numerous times and Customer Support says they can't do that, which is contrary to the website 's documentation. Being a hard of hearing individual, makes working with this bank difficult. I feel my XXXX right is violated when I attempt to reach out to them. Wells Fargo is stacking my overdraft balances. For example I had only {$13.00} left. Wells Fargo allowed a debit charge to go through ( when the card is locked ) and overdrafted it by {$2.00}. Then it allowed XXXX others to go through, and overdrafted. I transferred money to cover it, but, Wells Fargo waited XXXX hours to count the transfer and charged overdraft fees. I lost my job and I want ALL overdraft protection off. I don't wany anything to go through if there's no balance and I have communicated this numerous times to Wells Fargo, which is a standard banking product. Wellls Fargo refuses to do this.

Issue: Managing an account
Subissue: Banking errors
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I received a message alert claiming there was {$440.00} coming out of my account. I was asked did I make these charges? I said no. On that day, there was two certified checks drawn out of my account. One was for XXXX. The other amount was XXXX. I got a phone call from another agent asking me if I was in the bank. I said I am not at the bank. I am home. They quickly connected me to a fraud agent where this agent asked me if I authorized a third check going out of XXXX? I responded no there should be no monies being removed from this account since it is a savings account. As I was confused told the agent if you look at the history of my account, you will see this money has been in there for nearly 10 years. The banker at the physical bank where the checks were written was the one who called me about that XXXX. So I successively declined the last check, going out, which saved the remaining money that was left in that savings account. Since Wells Fargo has the most inadequate security and investigation. I went about myself and contacted the FBI and filled out a report, called my local police department and filed a police report. As well as contacting consumer financial protection bureau for help.
