Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, New York XXXX XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX Wells Fargo Bank Attn : XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, CA XXXX Dear XXXX XXXX, I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to express my deep concern and disappointment regarding an incident that occurred at the Wells Fargo branch located at XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, CT XXXX. The incident involved racial profiling and discriminatory behavior on XX/XX/XXXX, and I feel compelled to bring this matter to your attention. On the aforementioned date, while parked inside my vehicle outside the Wells Fargo branch and preparing to meet with the branch manager, I was approached by XXXX XXXX. He mentioned that a call had been made by someone at the bank reporting a " suspicious person '' inside the vehicle. I clarified to XXXX XXXX that no crime had been committed and that I was both a Wells Fargo customer and a business banker affiliated with Wells Fargo. Despite my explanation, XXXX XXXX indicated that he would reassure the caller that there was no cause for concern. I insisted on entering the branch with XXXX XXXX, as I had intended to speak with the Branch Manager regarding a client matter. Upon entering the branch together, the Branch Manager, XXXX XXXX XXXX, unexpectedly addressed me by name, stating, " Hi XXXX, '' which took me by surprise as I had not previously known the manager 's name. When XXXX XXXX asked for the name of the person in charge, XXXX XXXX identified himself. This sequence of events strongly suggests that I was targeted and profiled based on my race or appearance, which is deeply troubling and unacceptable. Furthermore, it was revealed that it was XXXX XXXX who had called the XXXX Police department, citing concern about a XXXX male in a XXXX XXXX XXXX appearing suspicious. This was shocking and surprising, as XXXX XXXX was well-acquainted with both my identity and my frequent visits, including recognition of my vehicle. In the aftermath of this incident, XXXX XXXX repeatedly apologized, stating that it was not anything regarding the XXXX of your skin or anything. I found this comment particularly unsettling because I had not brought up the XXXX of my skin in our conversation. His unsolicited assurance only served to highlight the racial undertones of the situation. In a regrettable attempt to ease the situation, XXXX XXXX remarked about my vehicle, expressing a desire to own one, to which I responded in an attempt to diffuse tension by offering to purchase such a vehicle for him or anyone within the branch. This prompted XXXX XXXX to acknowledge the inappropriate nature of the situation, expressing remorse by remarking that he hoped the perception did not align with the reality of the situation or imply any XXXX bias. I, in turn, reiterated that perception often forms reality, and I found it disconcerting to be profiled despite my established presence as a customer within the branch. Such prejudiced actions not only violate basic principles of respect and fairness but also contradict the values of inclusivity and equality that any reputable organization should uphold. Racial profiling has no place in any institution, especially not one as esteemed as Wells Fargo. I am compelled to request immediate action to address this matter. I urge you to conduct a thorough investigation into this incident at the XXXX branch, ensure that appropriate measures are taken to prevent future instances of discrimination or profiling, and provide comprehensive training for all staff on diversity, equity, and inclusion. I believe that it is imperative for Wells Fargo to take proactive steps to rectify this situation and demonstrate a commitment to fostering a welcoming environment for all customers and employees regardless of their race, ethnicity, or appearance. I kindly request a prompt response detailing the actions that will be taken to address this issue. I can be reached at XXXX or XXXX for any further discussion or clarification required. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I sincerely hope that Wells Fargo will take decisive steps to uphold its values and prevent such incidents from recurring in the future. Sincerely, XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: Hello, my name is XXXX XXXX. On Friday XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX I received a call from someone claiming to be with the Wells Fargo Fraud Department . The call was placed from the phone number ( XXXX ) XXXX, as well as the caller ID " Wells Fargo Bank. One transaction in the amount of {$1300.00} and one in the amount of {$2200.00}. The employee then verified the last four of my account numbers and the dollar amount in each account. Once verified, the employee stated that they were working with someone in their XXXX department named XXXX XXXX The employee then stated that they froze the XXXX transactions and that In order to fully reverse the transfer, I needed to accept the {$1300.00} XXXX request from XXXX XXXX XXXX and that the funds would return to my account within the hour. After an hour I grew suspicious and called the number back, only this time I reached the actual Wells Fargo Fraud Department, who then informed me that I had just been scammed. I then submitted a fraud claim. The next day at XXXX I received another call from ( XXXX ) XXXX with the caller ID " Wells Fargo Bank `` This time was another attempt to get me to " reverse the second fraudulent {$2200.00} XXXX '' I promptly hung up the phone and re-dialed the number. Again this time I reached the actual Wells Fargo customer service line, who then prompted me to create this email/report. I recently received a decision from wells fargo saying that I am not entitled to my money back, and that it is not their fault because it was through the XXXX option on wells fargo. However, I don't see how this is my fault being that they had access to all of my personal information, including the amounts that were in my accounts and the account numbers and no one should have access to this but my bank.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX I applied for a home equity loan through my XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, in order to pay off debt. On XX/XX/XXXX I found out that the credit union had sent the checks to pay off my debt to the wrong address. Because of this WellsFargo received my XXXX card check and cashed it. XXXX mailed me my check and I received it the next week. I realized this when I opened my account and seen my WellsFarg credit card in a - {$17000.00} ( not the exact amount ). Since then, I have made several calls and sent email asking them why they cashed a check that was not made out to them and to allow me to use the money that was in the negative amount. I would have used the bill pay in my online WellsFargo account. WF would not allow me to do this because they were waiting until they received all of the funds since it was a large amount & XXXX. I had sent in emails, called several departments, each of them telling me that they would assign a case worker and they should get back to me within XXXX weeks. They eventually gave me a case worker in the XXXX office who did not communicate with me. Towards the end of XXXX, I opened up my account and the amount was back to what I owed. I called to speak to her, but she was unable to take my call. I was informed by the person who answered the phone that they had sent an electric check back to the bank using the routing number I provided. This did not make to me because I had never provided them with a routing number. I was informed that they used the routing number on the check that was sent to them and that the XXXX XXXX would not accept it. They asked me to contact the XXXX XXXX and request that they accept the check. When I spoke to the XXXX XXXX, I was informed that the routing number on the check is only and account that sends out money and can not receive any funds. They informed me that I could use my credit union account and routing number in order to receive the funds. I called WellsFargo back to provide them with this information. My executive case worker was again not available to speak to me. I provided them with my XXXX XXXX account information and left a message. I received a call from my case worker 3 days later to inform me that they mailed out a check to the credit union. the following week I was informed 3 times that week that my check was sent out, but my account kept showing the - {$17000.00}. I received a call on Friday from my case worker stating it being sent out at that moment. On Monday the following week I could see the correct amount in my WF credit card account. I informed my Credit that day so they can keep an eye out for it. According to WellsFargo the check was mailed out XX/XX/XXXX and as of today my credit union has not received a check from them. I contacted WellsFargo last week XX/XX/XXXX to find out the address of where they mailed the check, but no one could tell me. AT this point they had closed two case that I had. One they closed because they sent in an electronic check and the one where they mailed the check, so I had to open up another case which allows them another XXXX weeks to work on the issue and get back to me. At this point I requested a supervisor or manager, I requested a new case worker and explained that WellsFargo has cashed a check that was not made out to them and have not allowed me to receive or use my money, now going on the XXXX month. I am currently paying interest for my WellsFargo credit card, my XXXX card and my HELOC. Not once did they make a call to the credit union to ask for the best way to get me my finds. I had even offered to have my credit union contact on the phone to answer any questions. I did speak to a new case worker, and he informed me that he has up to XXXX weeks to get back to me. Issue: Problem with a lender or other company charging your account

Subissue: Money was taken from your account on the wrong day or for the wrong amount

Consumer Complaint: Good afternoon, Please see information below regarding the bank ( Wells Fargo ) and Merchant ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, Texas ) I had a chance to discuss the transaction with the merchant 's manager and filed a complain with the bank, Wells Fargo. Initially the merchant stated that the receipt would not list out all of the items from the transaction, to which I insisted he check anyways. He was reluctant, but recognized me, and pulled my receipts rather quickly. Despite his initial statement, the receipt in fact listed the items from this transaction. I'm also unsure how long Wells Fargo took to process the transaction because there is a discrepancy in the date on the receipt and day I was charged via Wells Fargo. Upon reviewing the itemized receipt I noticed that there were extra goods listed which I did not receive or purchase from the merchant during this transaction ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ). I only purchased one good on the itemized receipt ( XXXX XXXX {$27.00} ). It is the same good I purchased from the merchant a few days prior to this transaction ( XXXX XXXX {$27.00} ). The merchant asked why would I sign the receipt, if there were items I did not receive listed, to which I stated that the total he stated verbally and showed me on their XXXX XXXX screen matched the one good I buy on the regular ( XXXX XXXX {$27.00} ) and I trust the business as I frequent the location often. I also stated that errors like these occur plentiful in other real life scenarios. It is no different than purchasing a pack of meat from XXXX, but the cashier accidentally charges you for three packs instead of one. XXXX would own up to their error, then provide the customer with those mistakenly charged goods, or provide a refund to the customer for the items said customer did not receive. The merchant agreed, but was also hostile and defensive when discussing the extra items listed further, and why they were added to my purchase if he did not physically sell them to me. Despite us both recognizing I only received the XXXX XXXX for {$27.00}, he was still defensive. So, I suggested he pull the camera, as it would surely provide firm evidence that I only purchased and received one of the goods on the itemized receipt. The store has many cameras and would clearly show if I physically left with the other charged goods. The merchant confirmed that they would have the footage, but yet again, he was reluctant, and practically refused. He told me to call the owner 's cell phone number since she does not come in to the store often The merchant 's manager stated that this has been a reoccurring mishap due to their manual point of sales setup and appeared frustrated with my request to pull footage to prove my claim I did not receive the extra goods listed on the receipt ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ). He stated that while he could pull the footage, this was not his job and the final decision would be with the owner, whom I was unable to get in contact with. I firmly believe that this merchant intentionally added the extra items listed and now refuses to provide evidence or refund as a scam. The merchant also stated that the business recently took a large loss up due to similar fraud in their system, and this only leads me to further believe I am one of their victims being used to recover a loss. I highly encouraged Wells Fargo to take these facts into consideration when reviewing my claim. I also asked it is possible for Wells Fargo to obtain further evidence from the merchant, especially physical footage, but Wells Fargo has simply denied my claim and my escalation without actual proof or alignment with the merchant ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, Texas ) It is very frustrating since I know I did not receive the items and the merchant seems to know it as well. I was expecting Wells Fargo to do a further investigation and not make it my responsibility to chase down the merchant for answers and resolution, as it does not always go as planned. Thank you for your support and feedback in advance!

Consumer Complaint: I called Wells Fargo to ask to skip one payment on my mortgage which was a program they offered in the past as a courtesy. Wells Fargo would add the excused payment to the end of the loan. Was advised bu the home preservation rep they no longer offered that program but referred me to NC XXXX XXXX XXXX and said no negative credit reporting would happen while in the program on numerous occasions. On the referral from Wells Fargo I enrolled in the NC XXXX XXXX XXXX which was in contact with Wells Fargo and notified them I was in the program and payment would be processed. I was approved for XXXX months of assistance and the program would forward payments directly to Wells Fargo. I was in constant contact with Wells Fargo during the program ( which Wells Fargo should be able to pull ALL the calls made to their XXXX XXXX department since they are recorded. Wells Fargo pulled one call in XX/XX/2023 and stated no one said no bad impact to my credit which I contest ) and was told the NC XXXX XXXX XXXX would take a few months to process the payment to Wells Fargo and there would be no negative impact to my credit. Wells Fargo with knowledge of me being enrolled in a program they referred me to, and mortgage payments were going to be paid, reported me late to credit bureaus and ruined my credit on purpose. When full payment was made, Wells Fargo never reported the payments to the credit bureaus without me contacting them and complaining that they received all their money to date.I have attached the Award letter from the NC XXXX XXXX XXXX that Wells Fargo also received on my behalf. Wells Fargo caused me financial harm which proves they should be put out of business. They participate with bad business practices and do not care about their customers at all. Please investigate how many innocent consumers who sought out help from Wells Fargo, were referred for that help and then purposely harmed financially by Wells Fargos Actions. There is no excuse for their actions. I hope the XXXX XXXX XXXX will protect us consumers and go after Wells Fargo once again with their history of fraud and bad business practices.
